Huge respect for asking him if you can break it first. I've seen too many stories of people thinking it's okay to break something because they're gonna upgrade it, only to find out that thing they broke meant a lot to them.
Skateboarder here. I saw a kid with a cheap board, chipped to balls and the wheel sounded cronchy. This kid was doing kickflips, bs 180s and tre's with no issue. I gave him my board. Wasnt super fresh but i put it together the week before and broke it in. Kid got super happy and gave me a hug. Every time ive been skating, ive seen him on that board and he landed his first rail trick. Told him if he kickflipped a 5 stair by the end of this year, ill make him 2 custom boards. Fingers crossed Clayton! Edit: HE GOT A 3 STAIR DOWN !!!!! Should I give him a skateboard building kit? (T Key, Screws, wheels, Abec 11 bearings and some griptape assortments?)

Yeah had someone cut my headphones for a video, and gave me airpods... when I explained they were 1200$ IEMs formed to my ears, they just ran off... but you will never see that video.
Idk i still feel bad because he didn't asked the parent if he can break it and throw it in the trash like that, she bought it for her kid after all, might be sentimental for her instead of the kid
i like how he doesnt break it immediately but asks first. most youtubers dont ask, and there is always a possibility that it is sentimental! thank you so much for asking!
I just remembered the quote "When a blind man can finally see the first thing he will do is to throw his stick that help him his entire life". Ayoo chill
Did he though? Going to a skate park and making that parent feel terrible by insulting that scooter they got for their kid? There were so many, much nicer ways to do that. Ones that didn't leave the parent feeling like they couldn't provide good presents for their kid
@sway9286 you wouldn't feel bad at all if your child clearly enjoyed this so much that you were taking them to skate parks, then someone made an entire video about how awful the scooter you bought them is? It's so bad he laughed at it and broke it in front of you and the kid. I suspect you're either not being entirely truthful, or you're in the minority on that. It was demeaning and belittling. Giving him a new scooter doesn't mean it's OK to act like that.
@@Evman1137the kid was obviously not bothered, he liked seeing it broken. If he didn't he would have had a different reaction. He's probably almost hurt himself so many times on that old rusted scooter, if not actually seeing the ER
