+trevorispimpn thats interesting that you say that man, im the proud owner of a 2014 z71 single cab with a 5.3 and the 6 spd trans with the manual button shifter, from a dig im beating trucks with cams, headers, and full exhausts all tuned up, but i tree them and 60 foot the shit out of them and whoop their asses every time. I do it all in "AWD" as I call it, its the "auto" feature for the 4x4 system that youre talking about.
+William Wood That and the new ones have "torque management", like with the 6.2 when you mash the gas the computer sorts it out giving you maximum acceleration with zero wheel spin regardless of conditions. I think the trucks can be faster without the driver aids if you have a feel for it.

Ok, you got my interest peeked. I have a 2015 Midnight LTZ with a 6.2 that this might be nice to add to. What could I see for numbers on a 6.2?
it's easy to drop an extra turbo or twin turbo diesel truck the problem he's not talking about is the transmission and the engine holding together. putting that much extra strain on that engine and transmission guaranteed you're looking at a motor that need to be replaced within fifty sixty thousand miles. the Allison Transmission itself is only rated to tolerate up to a thousand foot pounds of torque. you going to add all that extra power to that diesel engine you have to build the engine and transmission and rear differential to hold it. You can't push 1000hp out of a stock block and Transmission, you will blow something.......something expensive.

I still think GM should turbo-charge their 5.3 liter from factory. It'll take a higher price-tag...but turbos and a good sound system will sell like hot-cakes. Also, then at least guys could be proud of their trucks.
Can you guys do a mpg video of the 1000k pulling a trailer? I'd be interested in using this to tow a enclosed car trailer. I want to pull up to tx2k with my tow rig making almost as much power as my race car.

They probably got the stock tranny. If got this system for my truck, I'd get an Allison tranny.
Be better off with a built 4l80e, a much easier swap, cheaper, hold more power too.

Probably better to be honest lol. I have a 2013 2500 cc lb 6.0L and it gets about 15 mpg, with 500lbs in the bed.

You can, they are great engine to feed a ton of boost. They are probobly GM's best engine to force fed as far as factory engines go.

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a 2010-2014 escalade, would it be easier to buy the tt kit or, would it be better to swap in a duramax and build that?
TT'n it will be easier than an engine swap. But, both will need a different tranny. The 6L80 6 speed probably won't be able to handle 1000 HP for long and I know it WON'T handle a Duramax.

Possibly, but I wouldn't trust it unless Jeff Luke or another engineer from Chevrolet said it would withstand 1000 HP. If I got this system, I'd get an Allison tranny.

Turbo is all top end really so around town and highway should be about the same depending on how aggressive the tune is on the PCM. And for a kit installed like this i would assume somewhere in the 3000-5000 range.
Gas mileage will depend on how you drive typically with forced induction you COULD get better gas mileage.

Oka I got better things to spend $10 000 maby if I was a million air.
Conky Conky I'll spend $10,000 on a $7000 Whipple Supercharger system; plus an exhaust, cam and tune.
I'm sure it would sound good with the turbos specially straight piped turbo back but I'm starting to get to the point were all I do is tint my windows and exhaust as everything else is just a waste of money. Money that could go into sleds quads dirtbikes tools so on so forth.

They can handle nearly 1000 for a little while. But not in anything you have to rely on.
+-Tq- The iron block can be built to a 1000 and last a long time. Just wont be using the stock crank and bearings. Has 6 bolt mains, pretty strong design. Wouldn't try to get the aluminum ones there.

I know a forged motor will hold some big numbers. it takes a helluva build to need an aftermarket block

Dude. The 4.8 and 5.3 can handle boost out the factory. You can safely drive around with 10psi no issues. Guys are swapping your engine into cars and turboing them right off the bat lol. 280k is nothing as long as you have been doing your oil changes.
