Do you mean adapter between turbo and exhaust manifold ? I got it together with turbo kit form dpuk: dieselpumpuk.com/products/billet-manifold-adapter but now I see you can buy it separately
@@MercedesOffRoadClub thanks for the very quick reply 👍. I mean the hot side of the turbo. Holsets generally numbered inside the exhaust inlet. Is this holset off a dodge (Cummins)?
@@AshGTE Ok, problem is that I have no idea whether it is dodge or whatever else as it came new as a kit. But at that flat back plate (with v band connection) there are 4 rows of text: 129 9791 3527758 HOLSET CSR 9 At middle section (between hot section and aluminum inlet casting) there is: HOLSET 3530521 and yet another number: 2839879 If you need some other numbers form inside the turbo I have to undo the exhaust as it is all put togehter right now
@@MercedesOffRoadClub thank you very much for all the info. I suspect it's a 10cm housing from a 6BT Cummins as they seem to be the go to turbo. Or the HY35 but I think they have a 9cm housing as standard. How far are you along now? I take it your aiming for about 300bhp at the crank?
@@AshGTE No problem, current stage is here czcams.com/video/d_1USVGQefE/video.html Accualy Im not aiming specific numbers. This engine is going to run in G class and I want it to be overlanding vehicle, so I will be happy enough if this engine will pull nicly the car up to 110 km/h as G class has aerodinamics of a brick, additionaly its lifted, big wheels, heavy, roof rack = lot of noise, so I just need something reliable with some small dose of fun when I sometimes press pedal to the metal ;) But mostly low rpm usage
No, It is my own build and paint. Engine was fully rebuild in my shop, each part was seperatly painted. Only IP pump, turbo and adapter kit for BMW Gearbox come from DPUK.
No, I had OM603931 engine (which is the predescor of OM606) from my W463. Next I have bought complete OM606 used engine from W210. I sent OM603 IP pump to Luke, got it back together with turbo and bmw gearbox adapter plate and clutch. Last step was to rebuild OM606, paint every part and put it all together to keep off-road spec of OM606 -> I took oil pan and oil pump from G OM603 engine as well as power steering pump as it fits pressure and fluid flow with my G steering gear
¡That’s a Beautiful sounding engine😎!
El mejor motor diesel
im surprised you didnt add the rear cylinder cooling modification to the water pump housing
Yes, this is something I can always add later. This is simple mod. I want to test drive it for a while, see water temp readings and then decide.

Hello. What size exhaust housing are you using on your HX35 please? 10cm 12cm or something else completely?
