To put this into perspective, Mihawk only appear in like 15-16 minutes throughout the whole season. Even in the manga, people have always been waiting for this guy appearances. Yet, he is one of the most famous character.

Lets face it this guy is going to get a lot of roles as a villain in future productions he just plays the villain so well the mannerism the way he toys with his victims and the sheer charm.
He is going to get some screen time in one piece LA but I don't think he will get the role of main villain like when it comes to down to high tiers in one piece he is like 8-7th position and characters White beard, Black Beard, Kaido etc is stronger than him and he isn't that big of a bad guy so I won't think he would become the main villain

What a character, mysterious, bad ass, and in top if his game, looks like a Villain, acts like a hero, a pirate without a crew? Very good series
One has to appreciate a well executed walking contradiction.
He's not technically a pirate, he's a pure swordsman (also probably an assassin or mercenary), also he is not at all a hero, he's a strong contender for the most amoral character in the cast.

ALL of the casting in One Piece is excellent, with the actors obviously chosen for their ability to play their roles.
But MAN, Mihawk's casting is utterly PERFECT.
I don't have a lot of interest in watching One Piece, but if I did it would be because of him. This version of Mihawk just radiates the kind of bored, disinterested cool that makes for a perfect anti-hero. Someone who just knows he's the baddest man around and god help you if you make him prove it.

Thx. All of the " Main Acters + 5 " are Super! & fit very well in their Character's Roles. Steven Ward as Mihawk however is untill now by far one of the TOP on my Favorites List. Well Done to all of Members involved🙂

Didn't see the cartoon, never cared for it. Man's a badass, actor is top quality. I'm guessing Neflix either got some actual artists or the guy who made the cartoon is heavily involved in everything, including the casting.
Yeah, this is the only adaptation of anime that actually has the creator in it. And believe it or not they actually changed two really sicks arcs on this season, but I cant complain

So they can introduce Mihawk to the story. The OG story was better. Mihawk appeared only to finish off Don krig.
So he can warn Luffy how strong pirates are once he goes to the grand line. A warning so to speak. That was Mihawks purpose in the anime during East blue.
He sent Mihawk to capture Luffy, not kill him. Though in the original Mihawk was just there to kill Don Krieg, the pink-haired man on the beach, who got away and attacked Baratie.

@@Ami-vh7sr Luffy's actor is Oda's choice, and while he doesn't look like the anime version of Monkey D. Luffy, he DOES look like Monkey D. Luffy, down to the boundless naive optimism and the instant change to pure anger/righteous wrath when he's pissed off.
It's not perfect, but it IS One Piece, and given Hollywood right now, that is an amazing achievement.

Mihawk isn't even a pirate
Kinda sad that this Mihawk is nothing like the one in the actual One Piece manga / anime. He's so into himself vs the story where Mihawk doesn't care. The makeup is so off, it doesn't even look natural like how he always tries to pull on his mustache. The acting is really bad. The series looks like it's made up of youtubers than an actual production.
...Are we watching the same series? The Live Action One Piece captures the spirit of One Piece, even though it has to depart from the specific look of the anime.
