You're comparing apples with oranges a little here because there's actually 2 styles and 2 versions of each. B6 and B6 v2 also, B6AC and B6AC v2.
Great video thanks for the comparison. I got the regular imax sky rc b6 (i got the "genuine one" from sky rc - there are a lot of copies out there, some good, some sub-par) and pretty satisfied with it!

Ahh, okay,, think the battery may be at fault, as i ordered 2 Vant 5200 for my 1/10 monster truck,, i just put in another and it seems to be charging just fine so far!! thankyou,,
If you haven't opened it before and haven't used it before how do you know how to use it with such confidence?

Why are you not "Charge BALANCE" if you have bothered to plug in the balance lead?? :)
Please nobody leave your batteries charging overnight as mentioned in this video regardless of what amps you select to charge at. Doing so is seriously dangerous and nobody should say this in a video it’s giving people information that could cause a major fire or worse. Never leave a LiPo battery charging unattended at any time a LiPo fire can happen in seconds and can reach 700 degrees very rapidly.
Hi, just got my imax b6,, tried putting in a Vant 5200Mah to charge, keep getting "cell error" voltage invalid!! one cell to high!! i set it 5°2, to go with 5200Mah, but just keep getting same response?? any help please?? thanks.,, i put in the fullymax 3500Mah,, and the charger tells me everything i need to know! but when i try the bigger Vant 5200 it keeps teeling me cell error, voltage to high,, i have it set to 7.4v same as the battery,, i am stumped!! 😬
My lipo 7.4 2300mah battery only has a balance connector on it. What adapter do I use in order to charge it with this charger the V2. Or would a balance board work? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Do you know how to calibrate the B6 Balance Charge other than pressing dec and start button when powering up as this does not work on my charger.I have a B6 Balance Charge when i use it the readings do not tally.
3cell lipo all 3 cells 3.84 total 11.8 should be should read 11.52 B6 Balance Charger.
Same battery 3.77 total 11.31 Multimeter.
Same battery 3.88 total 11.4 Battery Capacity checker.
As you can see from the readings the B6 Balance Charger is way out with the total reading. Any help would be very much appreciated. I know this is not fully charged it is for storage.
thanks for the video. so do you have to have balance plug and xt60 connected or can you just use balance plug for balance charging and just xt60 plug for fast charging? do you prefer the v1 or v2?
You must have both plugs connected to charge a lipo or it will give an error message, I believe that it is the V2. Thanks for the question, Please Share & Subscribe.
Charging a Lipo with just the balance port is possible, but it will take all day. And NEVER use just the xt60, unless you want the battery to explode. Use both for best results.
Is this a better way to charge AA NIMH Eneloop batteries? I read about some other chargers don't have good termination. Does this one have perfect termination?
do u know if the b6ac v2 can be updated to charge LiHv lipos to 4.35v instead of 4.20v?

In case anyone finds this comment in search of answers (like I was), yes it is possible altough you may need to upgrade the charger with the new firmware which is obtainable thorugh the skyrc website www.skyrc.com/iMAX_B6mini_Charger or www.skyrc.com/iMAX_B6AC_V2_Charger. I have upgraded both my mini and b6ac and it seems to work fine

Are the the ones without the built-in power supply Imax B6 and Skyrc both Genuine?
make sure it is a skyrc b6. the knock offs can't use the skyrc name. it's how i made sure mine was real.
I should have watched before I bought one. They don't do my 7s 24v.
Does "LiPro" indicate its a fake? Should it not be LiPo?

You left out selecting between LiPo, LiIo and LiFe. This is the most non intuitive way of selecting between these 3 types of Lithium I have ever seen and took me the longest time to work out. And I have two versions effectively a B V0 and a B6 V3 which are different. I stopped watching about half way through because your V2 comes with an integral power supply so no different. I am trying to find what different features are between a V0 (effectively) and a V2 or V3 to see if it is worth getting a later model.
lol they are the same charger. one has it's own power.
pretty much but the one with the power supply can charge at 6 amps and the other at 5 amps and 6cell vs 5 cell max charge...

Not sure how much difference it makes but that imax b6 is not a original ..
this one actually looks like original.. has all the right stuff like gold plated connectors, logos in right places and even the sticker in the bottom to check to authenticate it. Of course the only real way to know is to check that code on the web site.

Be careful. You actually have a fake - the original IMAX B6 is titled as such on the top. Whereas yours says LiPro Balance Charger across the top. Disappointing that amazon sells fakes.
