  • These two elevators can be found around the corner from the food court on the 2nd floor (previously 3A) and they basically act as "shuttle elevators" between the mall and office tower lobby. While all the elevators in the shopping mall have been replaced into TKE in 2022 (saved for the lone grotty elevator in the parking garage which has been modernized by Pillar), the office tower elevators are still original, though it's only a matter of time now before they get replaced as renovation works will start soon for the tower. Also since these elevators haven't replaced yet, they still use the old floor numbering whereas the newly replaced elevators in the mall are now using the new numbering.
Sadly these elevators are not in good condition now as the right hand car, for some strange reason, would slows down and suddenly "drop" when going down, so it basically doesn't run at full speed. Same for going up but not worse, not sure what causes it to do this but it's rather scary and gives you that "death trap" feel. Certainly these are not very well maintained now especially with their age of more than 40 years old.
The lone elevator at the end of the hallway is the tower's fireman/service elevator which wasn't working sadly. Filmed with JC 95 Elevator.

Tbh this elevator looks like something from a horror movie. Perhaps the management knows they'll replace this sooner or later so they didn't give a nose to these two elevators? I hope these will get Urban Ace mods instead of TKE.

No chance they'll mod these into Hitachi since the management has signed a contract with TKE to replace nearly all the old elevators here. Plus URBANACE isn't available outside Japan.

BUIL-ACE QUALITY 80 II judging by the fixtures. If you come to Singapore, The Adelphi also have these fixtures but the elevators there are running smoothly thought it is going to get modernised with DFRS/FIBEE soon. Only 4 out of 6 elevators at The Adelphi are still original for now. Lift 6 has completed modernisation and renamed to Lift F.

Doubt that because that model was only available in Japan and I believe Hitachi had different models for export markets, just like how Mitsubishi had GRANDEE in Japan and GPS in other countries. Still I can't tell what model these are due to lack of valid evidences so it's best not to spill the beans to avoid misconceptions because I really don't like people claiming model names without any valid evidences! They can claim but where's the proof? I need the proof, and if they can't provide it then I consider it as "unverified". That's how misconception in the lift community started!
As for The Adelphi, I already know that and I've filmed the lifts earlier this year, just a few months before Hitachi started modernizing them.

@@idl3k_elevIt's really a shame, only one other place in SG has those buttons

The one at The Adelphi looks so Japanese to me like as if it is a Japanese models.
Ok, from what I found from Elevation Fandom, BUIL-ACE QUALITY 80 II was Introduced in 1981 which is the traction type elevators had been converted to VVVF control since 1985.

Aren't Adelphi ones DCGL instead? Those go at like 3 or 3.5m/s

Wah, kayaknya lift yang bagian office bakal diganti jadi TKE 🤔🤔

So far belum ada tanda-tanda sih, tapi yang pasti lobby office tower bakal direnovasi. Kemungkinan besar liftnya bakal diganti.

@@idl3k_elev I wonder bakalan seperti apa lift towernya nanti. Moga2 aja jadi TWIN sih.

Very low chance bakal jadi TKE TWIN. Asumsiku paling cuma zeta200 atau nggak meta200.

Yo, it’s not that scary at all. Just a normal elevator.

That's because you haven't ridden it, that's why you said like that.
