A day in Batumi

While travelling through Georgia, our group had a free day in Batumi, the second largest city in Georgia. It is very different from the capital, Tbilisi, with its sunny, humid Black Sea climate, wide pebble beaches and boulevards lined with subtropical trees. A local saying goes: "We were born tired and live only to rest", and so Batumi is a city of relaxation and idleness, apart from the port and tourism work.
