I just got one yesterday in Elizabethtown at John O's for $600. It sounds like it was worth it. Thanks guys.
My wife and I were lucky enough to get this release during the Thunder over Louisville weekend. We went to the distillery the Monday after the event and they had it available. I'm waiting until my brother visits to open it.
I haven't seen many reviews so thanks for doing this.

Was taking my brother & dad on the Bourbon Trail and we showed up early for my Dad's "You Do Bourbon" tour on Friday. They had just put out a handful of bottles, I got in line with 3 left and 7 people in front of me. My dad and brother chuckled and said no point. FIVE people passed on it so I got the last one. The lady at the counter laughed and asked me to pick her lottery numbers.
That is awesome. Was this last Friday and what time did it drop?

In theory, if it's kept sealed in a stainless steel vat and tucked away out of the elements, stainless steel is non reactive it shouldn't have any influence on it

I was at Heaven Hill on Monday morning. After my tour they brought out boxes of Old Fitz. I asked if it was the 13, assuming, and the clerk gave a tentative affirmative. He pulled one out of a box, wrapped it out of my sight, scanned it and put it in a bag. I didn’t pay attention what he charged me because I didn’t care. When I got back to my hotel room in Louisville, I pulled it out of the bag to find out that it was an 8 year. It’s on me that I made an assumption and didn’t pay closer attention. What a disappointment. I wish the clerk had told me differently. Oh well, live and learn.
