    Thank you for this fantastic review! I have been researching lots of keyboards on lots of pro audio and keyboard manufacturer sites, and yours was hands down the most helpful. Great overview with thoughtful comments and playing demonstrations. Also really appreciate you noting your dislikes. In any case, this really helped make the decision easier and I am going to pick up an EZ 300 tomorrow. Thanks again!

    Just bought it last weekend and love it. My dear parents could not afford piano lessons when I was five. Thinking about it now, we could not have even afford a piano, so practice impossible. Now years later I have 1 plus flowkey and now in a world of my own.
    .Let's see where it leads.
    I bought the dgx670b first and then a year later was thinking about getting led key visualizers but because of the crazy prices of those things, got the EZ300, and got more for my money.
    I'll practice on the EZ300 and then play on the rich dgx670b, I bought the stand and 3 peddles, but got 1 included with the dgx, which I'll use on the ez-300
    Just love how you can download midi files onto ez300 and see the lights in action. I don't think it allows teach mode for your downloaded files, but can use tempo to slow things down and jot the keys down.
    Currently learning to play Havana sounds so good.

I like to get a workstation to record the guitar on but was like at a lost on the keyboard side. Once I get better I then will sell off the ez300 or give it as a gift to someone. This seems like the natural successor to the EZ30 which came out nearly 20 years ago but had good sounds for the day, a basic song recorder, many of the same features, I remember it had the chord dictionary, and similar learning system and an unusually large set of DSP effects for a beginner keyboard and seemed to be superior to any other lighted keyboards that Yamaha released for quite a few years after. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

      I still have my EZ30, and it still has great sounds, even for today. If you have one, try playing power chords in the bass range using the Fantasia patch, and tell me that doesn't still go hard!
      Actually, I'd absolutely love to see a side-by-side between the two Yamaha keyboards. I haven't seen that much about the 300, but I think I might still prefer my 30!

    Hi Jeremy happy new year to you. This is a nice video and a great keyboard. I regret that the PSR E373 doesn’t exist in white. Is there another difference between both keyboards excepted for the white colour, the lighted keys and the pop songs on the EZ300?
    How would you compare the keybeds of both keyboards? Apart from the lighting system, is there a difference? Do you think that one of these keybeds is better than the other?
    Also, are there more styles,on the EZ300 for instance to play the pop songs which have been added on the newer keyboard?
    I am getting more and more curious about what the forthcoming PSR E473 will have in stock for us...

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  Před 3 lety +7

      I'm looking forward to the E473 soon 😉
      EZ300 is just E373 in white, keylights and a few more songs. No new styles, the songs are in MIDI. I love the white too! Looks way better than E373

    • @HubertEtAlice
      @HubertEtAlice Před 3 lety

      Jeremy See Do you know whether both keybeds are the same? This is one essential point for me.
      I looked inside the Songbook for the EZ300 and it is the same as the Songbook for the PSR E373. The EZ 300 onboard pop songs are not included in the Songbook because of copyright issue. I suppose that it is possible to upload the MIDI files of the pop songs found inside the EZ 300 to the E373. So the price difference is justified by the white colour and the lighted keys only.

      If you're an absolute beginner the EZ300 or PSR-E373 are extremely value for money keyboards that will last you a few years before you decide if this is a hobby you want to pursue long term.

    I've been watching your videos for some time and I've been wondering - how do you actually adapt to keyboards with a lower key count and synth action keys, coming from full weighted 88 keys Really nice playing, regardless.

    Does the EZ300 work with Synthesia? With the EZ220 synthesia can send midi info to light up the EZ220 keys. Can you do the same with the EZ300?

    Hi, I’m looking for a digital piano currently. Do you think that 64 note polyphony is enough to play advanced classic pieces and other types of music. Would the Yamaha p45, for example, not be sufficient for these kinds of pieces without cutting out?
