    I've been practicing for a month now on my rockjam 88 piano and magic has occurred. My hand are beginning to work independently. It's nothing special but a massive breakthrough for me. I'm so proud I've kept going and you've inspired me. Thank you.

    When I was 6, my mother bought me a cheap keyboard and the first song I learned was “Silent Night.” I haven’t touched a keyboard or piano in 20+ years. Your opinion and demonstration just sold me on this. $200 on Amazon now.

      I just started the guitar at 60 and am already jamming. Both aucustic and Electric. LOVE it sooooooo much. An dwhen I say jamming, that's a realtive term. I'm terrible but I jus tlove learning. Keyboard is next to learn both at the same time. I used ot play keyboard a long time ago for a year or so. Just do it and enjoy it. Yeah, at our ages we will never be rock stars but it's so good for the brain and SO much fun I can hardly beleive it. Just have patience and don;t get frustrated. Go in with just expectations of learning and having fun.

    Hi Jeremy, nice video and nice keyboard. Maybe you could mention the fact that for people who do need the onboard lessons but don’t need the key lighting system, they could buy the PSR E373, which has the same features as the EZ300 excepted for the lighted keys, and is cheaper.
    As for the songbook, it is really nice and it is possible to use it with keyboards of all brands. For instance, the chord progressions can be played on any electronic keyboard with auto-accompaniment. It is a nice way to start learning harmony.

    I work for the Youth Justice Team in Hertfordshire UK. We are starting up a small scale music studio for the young people we work with to try and harness there skills in a positive way and some will want to learn instruments but have learning impairments so struggle with reading music and many other issues.

    • @nickh7777
      @nickh7777 Před 11 měsíci

      The upcharge in cost would be significant, the keyboards probably wouldn't sell to beginners bc not a lot of people consider blowing thousands of dollars on a hobby they're not sure they're gonna stick with, and people who are serious players don't want a cheap looking keyboard, as I imagine it takes away from an authentic look (it would be a joke for them to play on something that shows the keys). Just like Grand pianos and baby grands aren't made for people to practice and learn on. The cost is just stupid, and the sound is lost on a beginner.

    Our keyboard is an old Yamaha EZ200. Other than guitar, I'm considering learning another instrument as a side project. "I bought a Theoryboard but haven't played with it much. I'm amazed by its theory handling? Your mood? I checked out her old EZ200. Since it is no longer supported, the only midi lead available was roughly £100.00 🤔. After reading your outstanding EZ300 review, I'm considering buying it. Since the EZ200 has an illuminated keyboard, I could play one of its pre-programmed songs slowly, but is that all there is to it? Nowhere to find the EZ300's additional amazing features. Jeremy, your thoughts? Many thanks for a fascinating channel.

    Does the learning feature let you know which finger your should be using for the specific keys? I saw that on the Casio LK S450 there is a voice fingering guide. It looks like the EZ300 does not have this, but does it indicate the finger to use on the lcd screen?

    This keyboard is incredible. I would even get one, especially if I was helping others to learn, which would be great for our church.
    But on my agenda is the Yamaha Reface CP, the PSR-EW425 and the Casio CT-S1000V. The only other ones I would get like I stated before would be the Roland RD 88 and V Combo VR-09B and now the new Roland Fantom 07.
    But this keyboard is great with the innovative instructional features, but the quality sounds and everything else similar to the PSR series keyboards.

    Thanks for the great review. I grew up playing the guitar and eventually had a cheap keyboard that I also loved to play but I've not played anything at all in quite a few years and love the piano and been wanting something. I think this would be a great keyboard to get me back into it and with the lighted teaching system help me to learn a lot of things I never knew how. Because I was just doing basic stuff improvisational that I taught myself. Anyways I was just going to order one with over night shipping so I could get it on my day off but disappointed to see it's on backorder so have no idea when I would be able to get one. So now I'm hesitant to place the order because I was hoping to have it show up when I know I'll be at home to receive it. . Sad. :(

Also says if I don't want that one I'll have to either cancel my order or select a different item... I decided to just go ahead and have them ship it to me because after all as long as everything works and sounds the way it should that's what's important. And also it should arrive on my day off/Tuesday so I won't have to stress about it sitting outside my house when I'm at work. Not ideal, but I can always return it if there is some kind of problem and not happy about it.

      The PSR-E373 is still a great keyboard, but if you can afford the extra cost of the PSR-E473, or the PSR-EW425 with the 76 note keyboard if you want more keys, it's a no brainer if you are serious about playing, even if you have to wait a while and save up for the difference. That way, you won't regret not going for the better one.
      It's just like having a high performance car. You may just take it easy cruisung and everyday driving, but it's nice to know you can open it up and really go when you want to, or your acquired skills ability and experience allow you to take it to that level.

    Hi! I hope after a year now someone can still help me out. I’ve heard from a lot of people that a full keyboard (with 88 keys) is better because lower sets just as 61 keys limit your experience. I considered buying the Yamaha ez 300 and I‘m only a beginner so I‘m not sure if I really need those 88 keys, but it would be a shame if I learn it the hard way later on after already spending my money on it. I really like the keylighting system and wanted to ask if there’s a 88-key keyboard that is similar to the EZ 300?

    I have a per 540 and I know how to play it. I just do not know how to use all the functions. The manuel does nothing for me. Are there vidio's that show you how to use all the functions?

    • @HubertEtAlice
      @HubertEtAlice Před 2 lety

      They are completely different keyboards. The CT-S1 is more meant for people who can already play. It is a nice gigging instrument for a small band or to take in the park or at the beach. The EZ300 is a fully-fledged arranger with learning features and is more geared towards people wishing to learn how to play the keyboard.
      If you don’t need the key lighting system, you might also consider the cheaper PSR E373.

    Hi Jeremy, I am interested in picking up the piano but I have some space constraint with regards to having one. Can you recommend me one which is kind of the budget but also suited for this need and especially for a starter like me? Is it better to get a MIDI in this case for me? Thanks in advance.
