    great vid! so once you've found out which behavioural characteristics you want to go after, how do you find where the highest concentration of those people are? thanks

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer
      @SolveItLikeAMarketer  Před 2 lety

      This really depends what on your product/service. If you run a dog walking business for instance and live in a city, you might target condo dwellers who work full time. You have to take all factors into account, demographics, geography, as well as behavioural. 👍

    Basically you need to understand from the beggining of the course the culture. When you pass the cultural knowledge and have a proper understanding in " the partener´s culture and wish" than you can have a deal. .. After years of stagnation when everyone is in "churn" there is nothing to fix in this branch. Once you lost the customer loyalty -you will never win it back and you also get bad reputation along. It is part of the education indeed. But it is also intelligence,that you have been born with...

    Thanks for the video. My question is without actually speaking to the target consumers how can the information about what they want - the behavioral, psychographical, demographical data be obtained to get the actual data?

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer
      @SolveItLikeAMarketer  Před rokem

      Good question. Some of it is indeed speculation. But you can also do a little research using social media. Typically, marketing managers have a pretty good idea of who they are segmenting and targeting, but also do a lot of research online.

      Interesting! Which one? Depends on the type of museum and the audience it attracts.

    so if a person has an student accomodation business , which market segmentation would be best ?

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer
      @SolveItLikeAMarketer  Před 3 lety

      Interesting question! I would need to know more about the business. But you could split into segments: new students / parents of new students / students who live near or far from the accommodation.

    I am doing an assignment that needs to identify the target market..... totally stumped at what to do. Bicycle service center, which segmentation it should be in?

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer
      @SolveItLikeAMarketer  Před 2 lety

      Interesting! I would say split the segments up in terms of age demographics and possibly location. So, marketing towards younger people versus middle aged versus seniors. Those who live locally to the service centre versus a few away. Hope this will get you started. 👍

    If someone has a business that teaches people to do business online, what market segments show they target?

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer
      @SolveItLikeAMarketer  Před 2 lety

      Intreresting question: I think it all depends on the types of businesses and who will be running them. Are they for Gen Y or Baby Boomers. Is it Geo specific? What education level should they have to run the business...

    is this also called segmentation's variable?

    • @SolveItLikeAMarketer

      Interesting-I haven't heard this before. But you could use the terms "segmentation variables"...it would make complete sense to me.
