What size 20's can I put on an stock 1997 gmc k1500 z71? If so!
@@freshprince1751 What did you find out? Most people recommend me 20x9
Can yall make a video about wheels for square body chevys i looked and didnt see anything.
How about the obs chevy dually
Ayeeee that's my truck as the thumb nail!!!!💯💯💯💯
Wi Bassmaster 💪🏾 you gave me the idea to run 12 wides and a street tires ! Appreciate it
Man u should definately make videos, we need more people makin em about these trucks, as far as i’ve seen me and BadZ71 and a couple of others are the only ones
Wi Bassmaster Where did you get that grill from?
Is your truck a Chevy and did you replace the grill with a gmc grill or is it a gmc?
I’m buying a step side obs I’m wanting 26x14’s on 35 or 35 but I don’t wanna scrub it’s gonna be squatted tho
Thank you thank you! Have a 97 this helps a lot 👍🏼
I’m running 33x12.5 on my truck. Stock height, no lift and it doesn’t scrub at all. No trimming either.
Tanner Hall
Mine as well and on the factory aluminum rims.
Im running BFG 315/ 70/ 17's with Outlaw 17 x 9 Wheels on my 1995 Z-71 with the stock suspension. Just had to trim the corners of the plastic air dam under the front bumper. I maxe'd out the Torsion Keys then backed them off one and a quarter turns.
How did you manage to run 33x12.5 on stock height without it scrubbing or trimming? I have 275/55R20 that barley miss the front bumper. I have a set of 275/60R20 that I wasn't able to use.
That's what I've been wondering. What tire are you using
Crazy bro. Mine run like crazy. 33x12.5
If your ok with trimming, you can clear 37x13.50’s on 12 wides with just a 6in lift. That what i’m runnin and lookin to go to 14 wides on 37’s soon so i’ll find out if that clears too. If not i’m gettin a 3in body, 14 wides, and 38’s
Wow no stock hight love. And 33 on stock rims fit under it with out any cutting. It what I'm running
I love OBS and K5 style ;) thx
I shared your page to FCB groups to add more trucks ..
I’m drunk as shot at the moment. Just ordered a set of 20x12 -44 Moto Metal 962 to surprise sober me. There goes my money! Lol
So how’d that go
It went surprisingly well lol
I like your style.
I just put a 2"/3" Rough Country lift on my 95 K1500 Suburban. A set of 33's (285/75-16) on 16x8 wheels (+4.5 backspacing) going on in two days. Hoping I won't have to take a cutting wheel to anything.
88-98 the last years Chevy build a motor to run forever. I say
2006* was the last year they built a motor to last. Other than the knock sensors. The 5.3s are amazing motors. Ive seen them things get beat and abused and b ran on dollar General brand oil and still last 320,000 miles with no rebuilds.
Also use Dollar general oil on mine running hard 300k miles lol
Unfortunately they are slow, and in comparison to an LS, way harder and more expensive to get respectable power gains. My 350 TBI is gonna get replaced eventually, with either a 4.8 or 5.3, because the stock heads flow bad and the bottom can’t handle big power. 6.0 would be nice but they are hard to find in my area and surrounding areas thanks to demand.
Well.....the 5.7 in my 97 seized and I had to buy a new one so....I dropped an engine from a 99 burban into it and now it’s running
@@carterkimes2860 well damn sounds like you had a oil leak in your chevy .. I forgot to add they only fun forever with oil .. lol
Im running a leveling kit with 3” body lift, with 37”x13.5R18 looks awesome and only trimmed the front bumper
You do You Fuller!!!✊
My bestfriends dad had 35s on his 96 stock suspension with a 1 1/2 body lift he cuz 5he 3 inch body lift in half and cleared perfectly
Plan on rear wheel spacers since the RC kit changes the track width. Also some 35s and 12 wides later on as well
I got a 3 inch leveling kit in my wife's Tahoe with 33x12.5r15 with 3 inch back spacing.
I'm not afraid to do a little metal trimming...or put old school round headlights in my 93 k1500...which I did
97 z71, factory 16x7 with 285/75 americus rugger that actually measure out 33x11.5 that fits and clears with plenty to go. No level kit. I feel like I could level it and run a wider and higher offset wheel and still clear. And possibly a 12.5 wide
So much info thank u.
I run 305 70 r16 with offset rims on my stock 97. I had to trim a corner off the front bumper but you cant tell it had a weird nudge out now its straight. Like on a inch at the very bottom was taken off
Currently running 15x14s and 35x14.50 boggers on just a 3” body lift. No rubbing or trimming
Got a stock 98 Silverado with 285/75r16 and 16x8 -0 offset and no rubbing
Idk why they said stock suspension ran 15's
I use to have 33x12.5 with deep dish rims on my 84 ford. I found it to be hard on the wheel barrings. Im happy with the 265/75r x 16. On my 1998 Chev Silverado, With a 2in key lift to level it out. Narrow rims.
I own a 93 c1500 and it’s on 34s it’s awesome
Hey can you do a video on 92-97 ford obs trucks on what rims look best and which ones fit ?
33s are it for the 8.25" IFS, so, up front you can easily fit 285/75R16 on stock 16x7 aluminum wheels, even with the torsion bars cranked all the way down. Yes, down. Or you can fit BFG KM3 305/70R16s on zero offset 16x8s with extremely minimal rubbing. In back, you'll need Timbrens for the 305s I just specced.
My obs had 33x13x18 without rubbing. Poked about a inch outage the wheel well. Unsure on lift
Make an updated video of this please!
24x14 -76 on 33x12.5s fits perfectly
6” suspension 2” on keys and 3” body lift running 38.5x15 super swamperers on a set of outlaw 2s and no trimming required
Raleigh Taylor do a little trimmin and throw 40’s on er
Dirty South Standards 40s is to much with the ifs
Love 90s truck s
With minor cutting my 91 1500 fits 37 12.5 baja kings, i have my keys cranked a bit more than i want to but no lift
Ive got a set of aftermarket upper arms for a lifted 88-98 1500 2wd
I just bought one of these trucks but you guys have no idea how much one cost nowadays....I searched the whole country for one and if it looked halfway decent the asking price was 4500...I live in MD and I picked mine up in Danville VA which is 4hrs from me and I ended paying 6500 for mine. KBB have the values all wrong no one is going off of that. I also came across 100% stock truck and the guy was asking 14k insane right it had about 89k miles but according to the books like you said it’s only worth about 2500-3k but needless to say I’m happy with my purchase and all left left for me to do is lift it and get wheels and tires
can y'all do a video like this on the 1st gen durangos?
Mine is stock with 20x12 -44 with 305/55r20 no cutting
88-98, not 89-98*
Reed 88-99 counting the 3/4 ton and one tons
@@colbynguyen9888 2000* if you bring in the tahoes and suburbans.with the classic package
I put 20x12 and 35s on no level with stock keys turned about half way and it barely rubbed
I got a 7 inch 22 inch rims 14 wides 35 inch tires on my GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab
Now we need one for obs f150
Hell yea time to level my Suburban K1500 and throw some 33's
im running 35x12.50 on stock with keys cranked, saving for a 6 inch lift. im working for it
Make sure you get it added to our gallery!
customoffsets.com/add
Are you running factory offset wheels??? I have very late model factory 20s with a set of 35 x 12.50. I’m trying to do the same thing and most are telling me it won’t fit. Couple guys say it will fit but will rub at full lock.
@@Wicked_RotF30 i have a 94 silverado its on 35x12.50r15 with -44 offset. i had to trim the bumper
Best trucks ever made
I have a 99 OBS C2500. I want to bring the front level to the rear without sacrificing ride quality. Any tips?
I have a 98 stock running 16 wide 35" boggers
I'm running a 4in lift with 35 tires and don't have any trim or scrubbing issue
I am new to this I’m wanting to get new rims for my pick up but I don’t know really what to do. I have a 96 K1500 z71 stock suspension looking for something that will fit it with no rubbing or cutting
Can y'all do one for the k2500?
Gotta love obs Chevys
Don't forget OBS GMC
i got a 97 gmc k1500 z71 with 33/12.5 r20 im going to a 33/12.5 r17
I had a 37x12.5x20 -12 with a 6 inch lift
will 16x10.5x35 fit on a 1998 chevy silverado with 6" lift?
95 with 4in lift 35x12.5 tire no rub
Do one on a 2000 Toyota Tundra pls
Got my OBS for 500 and completely rebuilt my 350
I have a 1997 C1500 Sierra. Can I use a 4wd lift on my 2wd. I’d like a bds lift but I only see rough country lifts for the 2wd version.
What name brand suspension do you recommend..?
Can anyone recommend a setup for me I have a 89 k1500 shirt box single cab... most builds look amazing on the extended cab but those same builds don’t really fit the single can any suggestions
I’ve got an 88 k1500 with a 6 in pro comp lift running 35/13.5/r15 🤷🏻♂️ looks better than any of those trucks.
I'm running 4 inch pro comp with 35x12.5r15. Looks pretty good
Watching the old videos cuz I miss fuller already
Am starting to rebuild my Chevy 98
What would be the best lift kit for my obs Chevy I want something that’ll have a good ride and not a rough ride
Check out BDS, Mcgaughys, or Readylift! bit.ly/2S4vEPH
I’m running 35x12.5 r 20 on stock height
What size wheels are on the last truck with stock lift. You said 14 wides but didn’t say if they are 22s, 20s 24s?
I have a 1993 Chevy 1500 I want it lift but a lil squat what can I use other then a suspension lift
I ran a 315/75r16 on a 92 with with tortion bars cranked
What about a video with a 12 inch lift
You should do them in the 98-04 f150
Frank Dux yeah sorry I’m only 17 and have been getting into trucks I’m used to heavy equipment
What if i do leveled and 33×12.5 on 22×12 -44 offset
what about for my 00 k2500 obs
3:13 where are y’all located? I’d love to pick some up for 2k lmao down where I’m from they don’t go lower than 3-4 grand and 6k the super clean ones lol
We are located in Appleton, WI but we ship worldwide and Free mounting, balancing and shipping to the lower 48 states!
Ghost Rider I second that. I’m in Michigan and $2000 will only buy a k1500 if you’re okay with having rusted out fenders, cab corners, and rockers. Look to pay $4000 for a fairly clean one that will still have rust on it.
Will 37s fit with a 3in body lift?
I would like to see you guys show the black truck in the video thumbnail please!
What about the 88 obs
That neck tho😂😂
I'm running 38x15.50s
Will 40 x 5 fit on 9 inch lift?
Does wheel width matter when running certain tires? For example, can you run an 8 wide wheel on 33s?
Wheel width in comparison to height is irrelevant Isaiah, but wheel width to tire width, yes!
I'm running a 4inch lift with 35x12.5s on my obs silverado.
Does it rub?
i have a 98 chevy with stock suspension and 22x14s and 2”spacers and 35s
Do you have to change the gearing to do that? If I ran 33s on a stock k1500 would I need to change the gearing? Thanks
I bought a 97 k1500 with a 3 inch lift and new trims and tires for 1000 and started building it
Could I fit a 17x10 with a 285/70R17 on a 93 K1500? Almost leveled, gonna switch the keys
Take a look in the gallery on our website and see what other people were able to fit on their k1500s!

What would be my specifications for a stock height and tire size?
Hey there! I would highly suggest checking out our online gallery for help with this! --> www.customwheeloffset.com/search-wheel-offset-gallery
After the 5k for truck lift and tires how much on exhaust lol
What about the k1500 suby 99
I got a 2” Tuff country add a leaf and torsion key (yeah.... I know...) and I was able to run 33s
Sounds like a sweet setup Dylan! Make sure you add it to our gallery if you havent already!

Custom Offsets sept my front tires are tilted inward unintentionally and makes lots of popping sounds 😂
What about a 14 wide on a 30?
What ever happened to fuller?
Alright I got a 95 c1500 what’s the biggest I can fit I’m thinking 20x10 285/35 or 45/20r sitting at stock height will it fit or so I have to go smaller someone help me out
I got a 96 Chevy gmt 400 and i need nerf bars or running board to hop into truck but i don't want to drill into rockers to install anyone got any options i cant find nothing.
You ain’t findin them for 2k anymore… 😢. Great video guys. Even 3 years later
Sad to say that’s the truth
With the leveling kit on a 4x4 with the 33s if I actually use my truck will my wheels bottom out a lot while on the trails or are they going to be able to flex without hitting anything
Did you ever figure this out
Crazy how a couple years ago these were actually selling for 2k-4k now they’re selling up to 10k in really good condition or 2k if it’s not running anymore 😂
Yeah it's WILD and SAD
And if you don't like massive stupidly wide wheels you can fit a 34x11.50R17 tire easily on a 2" lift with VERY minor bumper corner trim. Zero offset
Wait I thought it was 88-98 not 89-98?🤨🧐
DILL 01 It is, not sure why they said 89
DILL 01, actually 88-99 the reason I know this is because I had the newer 99.5 rounded Silverado.
Yea i have a 99 this exact body style. Its 88-99
99 was only 2500 and 3500. By that time the 1500s were the new body style.
I have a 99 obs. And there are 00 obs as well
I’m gonna try to fit some 20x14 Mavericks on 35s on my 97 today😂
How do the 35's work 😂
@@clappedout1487 it rubbed. Bad. Cranked up the torsion keys added bigger control arms and a body lift. It cleared with minimal rubbing but rode like garbage. So I got a rc 6 inch lift and kept the body lift and it looks and rides good. I could probably clear 37s now.
I have a stock 2 door Tahoe 4x4 running Toyo MT 33 X 12.5 R20
We would love to see it! Make sure you add it to our gallery!🤙

Guys why did you leave out the 88😭
my stoch chevy 98 i ran 33X12.5 no lift minor trim on bumper and wheel well 1/8 inch front and back rear can fit 35X12.5 without a lift and no trim front wont fit
My 98 1500 had stock rims with factory 1 inch leveling kit can fit 35s all around
I have a 2012 5.0 F-150 that I got as my first truck, I’ve put on new wheels, lights, a bumper and grill, but there is a plastic piece between the front bumper and grill that is OEM black(looks gray) even though my truck is Oxford white, should I try plastidipping it white or getting it professionally done? I’m on a high schooler budget but it’s very annoying, any advice would be appreciated.
Try plastidip first, the good thing about it is if you don't like it, you can easily peal it off, no harm, no foul.
Yeah, also I found matched paint to my f150 so if it comes down to it I may use the auto paint thanks for the reply
Anyone know if you can fit 18x 12 wides -44 offset with 33s on a stock obs? Hopefully no spacers and only minor trimming.
