know this is a long time ago but this is for those who might come across this video. If we're gonna make speculations then it's only fair to make multiple speculations. Lol. Did the Patriots had anything to do with it? No. The backpack was shortly found after it was accidentally taken by Art Spander. If Spander truly worked for the patriots, dude would've at least took photos of the playbook and send them over to the patriots through a phone or meet up with a patriots' member and have that patriots' member take photos of the playbook in a private area. All that didn't happen so that's a check in the box if you've seen TMZ's short interview of Spander about the backpack incident. Did shanahan purposely put his backpack down in order to make a scene together with Spander taking the backpack? No. Shanahan probably put his backpack down whenever he carries it to places, so it wouldn't be fair to criticize him for putting his backpack down during media night. Does this make the patriots look bad? Nah. There's no evidence to suggest that patriots were involved. Say if the patriots were involved, this plan of trying to steal the playbook was such a failure on spander's part and it would've eventually led to the patriots getting caught. In conclusion, patriots haters are mad that the patriots aren't guilty on this one. Lol.
