LMPD investigated themselves and found no evidence of wrongdoing.
Yup, 😂. Lying cops cover for each other and investigate themselves.
Welcome to the American justice system 😂
They all got raises, I heard
@@martinhunt538 Just think what they got away with before cameras.🤔😬
Fbi/doj did investigate them and found them to lie and violate people's rights.
McAfee’s coverage on this has been the literal best. So entertaining and informative.
Really? Look up Scottie talking in the back of the police car. He admits to a lot of wrong doing. I don't think bashing this officer is good reporting.
The fact that not only was he a cop but a detective makes this even worse
We all saw the video. Just another crooked cop on a power trip, he needs to be held accountable.
yup but instead the state held charges over scotties head that were bs and only said theyd drop them if he doesnt pursue legal action. if thats not corruption idk what is.
The people saying the police officer lied are basing that theory completely, and entirely, on their mistaken belief that the video shows what happened, it doesn't, it only shows Scheffler's arrest, not the incident that lead to the arrest.
@@bottlerocket3218lol it showed everything we needed, Scottie was going 5 mph, in a MARKED car. The cop overreacted and lucky for us arrested the wrong person.
@@andrewboyce7268 Nothing in the video contradicts what the officer says happened, which was Scheffler ignored an order to stop his vehicle and dragged the officer 10 feet with his vehicle, all this video shows is what happened AFTER the officer was dragged, as has been said.
@@bottlerocket3218 So Scheffler was wrong to follow the directions of the cops? How many people do you want arrested because they listen to the police officers directions?
He can poo poo this whole thing and say there are more important things in the world, but accusing someone of a felony is not insignificant by any means, shame on you officer.
That cop has been suspended MULTIPLE times
6 to be exact
As much as I hate this cop, I just looked it up and most of them were 1 day suspensions for failing to show up to court. Likely traffic tickets that he didn’t bother to go to resulting in them being dropped, not really something to hold against him.
@@mrstealyabike7226its kinda his job. Why write the ticket if you dknt care enough to show up to court
They need to fire him
@@mrstealyabike7226traffic tickets he falsely wrote and lied about I’m sure. Seems to be his thing. He’s a pos
Officer Gomer Pyle put out a statement in the hopes that he doesn't get sued in civil court.
I read it. Assuming Gillis wrote it himself (this is the internet... who knows?) it looked to me more like he was trying to justify his actions against public opinion and show himself to not be the dickish hothead that we all think he is. His defense is that he really, truly was dragged, by which I'm sure he means pulled off balance as I said above. The problem is that did not constitute an 'assault' and he knows it. So, if he wants my good will he can start off his next op ed piece by admitting that.
@@lawrenceshipp2853 Thank you for your well thought out commentary good Sir. We do not cast stones, but we hold people accountable. His "response letter" focused on the fatality (no relation to his FALSE felony arrest). This hothead doesn't deserve to work in law enforcement.
More like Barney Fife and Matlock 🤣😂🤣😂
Don't worry, qualified immunity would ensure the tax payers foot the civil lawsuit bill.
He should be . He thought his feelings were law. And of course they aren't. Too many badge wearing folks in this country do this exact thing everyday and more should be held accountable. That shifty officer needs to be fired. Immediately. He's not very bright obviously
Scotty's attorney also said he had 2 signed affidavits supporting Scotty's story, NOT the detective. So for the detective to stick to his story, is pathetic.
They dismissed the charges with prejudice. Yet this cop is still running his mouth as member of the PD. Scottie does want to sue the city, but he should sue the cop personally for defamation. I don't think he is done running his mouth. What a disgrace for his department.
I think he will now after this guy went out of his way to do this lmfao
@@silversoulken He still won't.
Scottie should sue the city for false arrest
LMPD blackmailed him so he can't do that.
His lawyer said that they could, but Scottie didn't want the taxpayers to have to pay for a lawsuit. Class act.
Scottie stated he won't do that because it would end up just punishing the taxpayers from Louisville. His attorney basically said if they thought a lawsuit would change the behavior of the police, they would certainly do it but they don't believe anything would change.
No, they did not do a quid pro quo. Scottie could still sue the department at any point. His lawyer said he didn’t want to because it would cost the tax payers a lot of money and he doesn’t want to make the people of Louisville pay for something the cop did wrong.
@@LionAndALambthat’s bs they’re not going to be held accountable unless he sues I get his point but still, you got to hurt their pockets to get meaningful change
This happens all the time, watch first Amendment Auditors. He should sue them and get rid of Qualified immunity. These tyrants do this all the time under the color of law.
Agreed!
They really need to investigate all this guys previous cases
Scottie owes the public. He should use the department to help prevent them from doing this to other citizens as they do every day.
Yep, he can afford to and most of us can't. Enough is enough . Bankrupt loserville!
His letter should have been a letter of resignation. He might need a drug test too if he thinks he was dragged. And then back to no camera on, clearly not performing his job properly. Total lack of integrity.
If internal affairs doesn't step in anyway and punish him it will look terrible on the department. Unless the media keeps the pressure on then nothing will happen.
They protect the blue smh this is the problem with the American justice system. No checks an balances for law enforcement expect for them to check themselves which never happens! It's a sad excuse for justice in the land of the free
Internal Affairs is like the FBI. They investigate just so they find all the damning evidence then destroy it all.
@@fallonanddavidbrown6397 its weird to me that every American recognizes the value of checks and balances (hence the 3 branches of our government) yet we don't have any such system to keep law enforcement in check. It never made sense to me.
Dude when are they held accountable? He’ll probably get early retirement…
It’s just a shame that these bad officers give the entire country’s police forces a bad name because they keep getting away…
@@jimai808 Very true and wise statement. And that logic of having checks and balances. Isn't being implemented in more American institutions than I'd care to admit. Now we're seeing the justice system being weaponized politically. It's a scary time
Bullsht meter got pegged with that letter. Shoulda just went with the press release from the DA's office and been done with it. Gotta love entities that have the privilege of investigating themselves.
The officers remarks in regards to the Department "MAKING" him buy the pants is Laughable.... yes, if you buy the pants that you should be buying for the job, just like the shirt, just like your boots... are expensive because they need to be able to survive a harsh environment... HOWEVER... I can guarantee that your get at least a $1000-$1500 a year uniform allowance like EVERY Department.....
"We are all going to drop this and move forward"
But before I do that let me bring this allll back up one more time.......
The PS part was actually funny 😂
Agreed 🤣
as in laughing at him not laughing from him right?
@@EastOfEden96 no, the PS was genuinely funny lmfaooo
@@TsaicoGaming Well go get a new sense of humor then lol. It wasn’t a good joke in the slightest.
@@silversoulken comedy is subjective, bud. Chill out
Do not allow the LMPD to get away with false charges. Because, their bad behavior persists. Just check the history of LMPD (consent degree with DOJ).
That letter is nuts. What the hell was he thinking releasing that after the fact? He could have just kept it clean. The sheer cahones to mess up on camera, arrest the number one golfer, and then refuse to apologize, while referencing someone's death. Zero accountability. Fire him.
To be fair, that detective got 'dragged' pretty hard on this show and on twitter.
😂😂 you’re right 😂
His pants got ruined when he sh** em finding out the situation was videotaped! 😂🤣
Bro I laughed out loud literally at this lol 😂
Would not have if it was any other human other then the best golfer on the planet. If its a regular guy we are stuck in jail waiting for a hearing
Maybe because he’s a dirty cop that lies and has an extensive history of his corruption and tyranny on the people he’s supposed to protect. You want cops to not get publicly dragged? Then they shouldn’t publicly lie.
Did the officer suffer from PTSD and withdraw from active duty 💀
I still haven't seen him dragged anywhere
Just in the comments sections on social media. Thats about it.

Hope he sues. I'd sure get some enjoyment from donating to a crowdfund that drags that guy and the city of Louisville and @lmpd through legal hell. Disgusting and embarrassing. The response pissed me off. Takes no accountability.
I fkn love this show
You should make a FOIA request for all the body cam footage
Internal affairs are legitimately useless.
Remember when people were furious with Pat for joining ESPN thinking it would change him? This segment is proof of how absurd those whiners were. Pat is the top top of the game at this point. 😂😂😂
Not the “theres more important things in the world”.. what people say when they know they were in the wrong.
That's the playbook.
People like this deserve to be taken to court and punished because they get away with bs and think it’s okay
Good thing this is the only time the Louisville police department has ever gotten it wrong.
@patmcafee should file a freedom of information request for the full body cam footage
They'll prob say it all got destroyed since the case is now officially closed out...
Still hilarious this cop is sticking to his story....even with a video all over the internet proving that he is lying....
He should go into politics as he looks like 90% of the people in Washington DC....
You might want to listen to Scottie in the back of the police car. Get the facts. Scottie admits to a lot of wrong doing.
He never said Scottie didn’t do anything wrong. He was just pointing out that the guy is lying. I don’t know why you are attacking him.
DISGUSTING! He should be in prison for that false report!
Romines is a Louisville attorney, he has run-ins with LMPD and local prosecutors all the time. He's a thorn in their side.
This makes sense. That county prosecutor came off like kind of an unconfident bumbler. Did it just become Romines against LMPD? I think he was secretly hoping for the case to go to trial except for the inconvenience it would have caused Scottie. And I'm thinking they should have gone through with the civil trial (He could have donated the award:) except for the stress and inconvenience. No way Scottie ever sets foot in Louisville again!
That cop lied , his azz needs to be fired. What else has he lied about while in uniform? Officers are held to a higher standard for a reason
Higher standard? What higher standard? Cops are held to the lowest possible standards. They can assault, kidnap and steal your stuff without a warrant and without probably cause and all they'll get is a suspension. If I did that to you, if be in prison. Gtfoh with that high standard bs
"We'll drop the charges if yoy promise not to sue us into oblivion."
I would have said NOPE!!! Fire that cop and maybe I will only sue him
Only place he was dragged was online
Just for what it's worth, Gillis' injuries consisted of a bruise to his knee and left wrist. Those are two point-of-contact injuries that you would get by falling and landing on your knee and the hand you stuck out to break your fall. It is not what getting dragged over concrete looks like. 'Dragged by a car" = "grabbed hold of a moving vehicle and pulled off balance." Not an assault. Assault requires intent.
Or what you would get by running into a car real hard
@@eats4cheaps305you feel me or running full speed into a car might give you those injuries too😂😂
The LMPD would not pay for the lawsuit, the taxpayers would. Rumor is that is why Scottie's team didn't what to file such lawsuit...
Well maybe the taxpayers would pay attention to what's going on in their city and clean house if he did sue them and bankrupt their azz. I hate a liar worse than anything, especially a cop that's supposed to have integrity.
It’s not a rumor when his lawyer said that
Scottie should sue just to prove a point. This type of criminal behavior is too common by the entire justice system. A high profile lawsuit in this case might help save someone else from being falsely accused and prosecuted. There is no way Scottie wouldn't win. He doesn't want to take money from the taxpayers. So give the money back or give it to charity. But sue, win, and maybe that would start to bring about some changes for the better from our corrupt justice system.
Next week he is gonna file for medical retirement for injury during line of duty
This is Pat at his best. Keeping it real and hilarious at the same time.
Boy oh boy that man was heavily bullied in school
You only get bullied if you allow it. Jesus flipped tables.
People always leave comments like this, but In my experience it’s the opposite. Bullies want to continue being bullies so they become cops or similar, while those bullied get these types of comments
Detective hit scheffler with a flashlight through the open window . Crazy stuff.
Detective hit scheffler with a FLASHLIGHT. ITS A WEAPON.
Imagine being an upholder of the law and using ‘drug’ not ‘dragged’.
How do these people pass the recruitment process?
Thanks for addressing the lying Cop!
And this why you have to sue. Because every time there's the mutual agreement to not pursue charges or suits and thus nothing changes and it keeps happening. No one wants to be trailblazers anymore.
Ballsy Love you guys !
Are there pics of his “alleged injuries”? If there were injuries to his wrist and knees, wouldn’t there be documentation of the injuries other than just his written word?
It's ridiculous that everytime the police, state prosecutor, mayor, ect of Louisville they began every statement talking about the man who died in the accident that morning than the actions of the police officer.
It is pure deflection on their part.
This is the correct time for Scottie to launch a counter lawsuit
"You Guys Got My Back, Right" 💀
Officer Gillis - BODYCAM ON!
I love how Pat has to throw in "allegedly" every now and then to avoid another law suit
Well that statement says all you need to know about that cop... Yeesh. What a loser. And $80 for a pair of pants in 2024 is actually cheap.
“Idk where those bruises came from” 😅
5:20. Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry
"Wild stray cat, you're a real gone guy
I wish I could be as carefree and wild
But I got cat class and I got cat style"
Scottie seemed to admit dragging Gillis while he was in the back seat in cuffs, but he didn't know he was a cop. I think it probably happened before Scottie turned and it was obscured by the bus.
Cops being cops
It’s really sad, the LMPD is already of the wrong side of its local community. These cops lie non stop. The night that Scottie was arrested I went into a local bodega and a cop was in the store bragging about arresting Scottie and kept saying Scottie lied, and there’s no way Gillis lied. I laughed so hard in the cops face and reminded him about the lies of the LMPD vs Brionna Taylor. It took the department of justice coming to Louisville to investigate. LMPD is so horrible and scary
wow.....that's crazy! Sorry for Louisville!
He gives officers a bad name and validates what people like Colin Kaeprnick had to say
Love the toxic table, commenting along with Pat. AJ too.
Man. Ik who LMPD are ab to sue now😂 allegedly!!
Bro GTFO with that BS. You weren't drug by his car, you tripped.
You guys should make a FOIA request for the body cam footage.
Can we see pics of these alleged injuries?
if this was a nobody without the money for a attorney he's going to prison
this is the number 1 reason Scottie needs to take this as far as he can
My question to Mr Gillis would be, if it wasn’t a false arrest then why were the charges dropped?
DISTURBINGLY...This an accurate representation of too many offers, departments, and prosecutors across, America. ***Remember, the legal system is a for profit system.😮😢😮
This type of cop should be tasked with watching AJ. Menace vs menace
This was the defunding people were talking about. Thank God for the Unions. They protect cops like this and umps like Angel
This is not the defunding those "people" were talking about.
@@SFTaYZa it’s the defunding I was talking about. Crappy cops/ex hall monitors need to go work at long John silver.
I like this version of Pat, this is when he's at his best.
Let’s go
All the people who defended the cop are no where to be found how convenient
That cops whole reputation has to be looked at now.
The chief of Police and officer should be automatically fired and charged for this incident. Nothing will ever change if this continues to happen without more severe punishment for officers that break their oath. He's an embarrassment and doesn't deserve to be involved in any part of law enforcement ever again.
It’s more dangerous to be a delivery worker than a cop.
This is a good example of how SOME officers should be trained better and should be reminded to tell the TRUTH.
So, how many cops were in the direct vicinity of that whole situation? 4? 5? Maybe more? And every single one of them lied about what happened. So according to police sympathizers, there’s only a few bad apples, right? Not all cops, right? So, it just so happened that every bad apple cop in that department happened to be in the same spot? And all the good ones were elsewhere by sheer happenstance? Or, is it more likely that the majority of cops think they’re part of this sort of gang/fraternity? And they’ll lie cheat steal intimidate threaten and abuse their power to ensure they always come out on top? And the “good cops” are actually the rare great white Buffalos? You can’t argue with math at this point. And it’s pathetic seeing people still trying to defend this idea that it’s only a few bad apples. I think it’s the other way around.
Liv golf would already have hired a private investigator to dig through this department and make it public. It's amazing that the people who run the Masters aren't hiring people to dig through the department with a fine tooth comb all these cops and the chief of police and even the Governor. What an embarrassment.
The Saudis??? They may have sent a hit team!! 🤣😂🤣😂😂😂
love how it says neither side will pursue legal action, essentially saying they were going to use a bs charge against scottie to keep him from suing the department. sounds like even more corruption and they should all get kicked to the curb. even the state is now using its power to keep civilians from holding their departments accountable. not a good look for them.
Since he still claims to have been dragged by the car, I would sue.
Keystone Cops Activities 🤣
Dragged, not drug.... They cant even have someone proof read his statement for grammatical errors?
Cops can legally lie to apprehend people. Unfortunately continuing to lie on affidavits and then on any other written statements is perjury? A felony. Will he go to jail? Will he keep his job? What about all the other people he has arrested? Should he be allowed to work and be paid with public tax dollars for the rest of his life or any job that includes public tax dollars? NO
I don’t understand how they can agree to drop the charges as long as you don’t sue??? Wtf is that not blackmail???
This is way more typical than you can comfortably believe.
Cat person hopped up on catnip crawling around his house🤣🤣🤣 Pat is truly the best with segments like this.
No Major PGA Golf Tournament or any Major Sporting Event should ever be held in Louisville again after the treatment of Scottie Scheffler by the authorities there.
His lawyer writes paragraphs 1-3 and 5, and the cop sticks in the strange account and PS (which is BS).
Sheffler dosen't have to honor any 'agreement' the cop should be charged with reckless endangerment
Scottie should have sued the daylights out of that department and then only taken one dollar to prove his point and not take tax payer money
But he won't because it would incriminate himself. Watch the video of him in the back of the police car. He admits to a lot of wrong doing.
Cat cowing at least killed me
May not have a conviction, but the arrest record never goes away.
Bird poop tore his pants lol. This damn show, haha.
Those cops are absolutely nuts
The body cam footage legally can be requested. I am sure it will surface if something is meaty on it
