This is a cruel form of torture
Lol why torture? All good things are worth waiting for))
@@VSparxxx lol I'm just Impatient. Also don't want to spend 50 bucks on a nextion when something far better is just around the corner
the irony of "next monday" is appreciable but timing is needed to avoid making a wrong nextion purchase....
I also find the approach a little questionable. Many people will be unhappy because they bought the old display shortly beforehand. You could also simply communicate the progress openly, i.e. which hardware is currently being used with the explicit note that this may still change with a low probability. So everyone is currently in the dark, because theoretically it will still take months to release, but on the other hand it could also be next week and then the newly purchased hardware is for the garbage can. Just a well-meant criticism from me, but of course I'm still looking forward to the release!✌️
Thing is, first of all, if he would announce a date, his distribution partners would sit on their stock. Second, he is not payed, and he owes you f all. Be happy someone is developing something amazing, you would not be able to.
The massive bezels make this look so retro😂
I blessed my first proper Gaggiuino shot to the sounds of J Dilla's Sunbeams track in your honor. I was just a kid from Queens now grown up enjoying the latest in Espresso tech without spending all my rent money. Thanks to you and the whole Gaggiuino team!
VSparxxx - Monday has come and gone brah. Give us some info please!!!!!! We all hanging here.
Apparently next Monday is an in joke they have in the gaggiuino discord, it's never next Monday. Public release is very unlikely because of the bad actor rsilvers running for profit scheme, so this is to discourage people from buying from him which is understandable. Just bought a nextion screen after months of false dawns, just cruel like the other guys have said but it's not really an open source project which is understandable.
@@BobM11256 where you able to run gaggiuno though ?
2:50 - Smooth music playing....
Nobody:
Iuiuiu: we have a lift off BRBRBRBRBR
I only completed my Gagguino v1 build a couple of weeks ago! Mind you the much larger screen and resulting UX functionality will be a huge step up. 👍👍
Same
Can't wait for next monday
Well good news, next Monday is happening next Monday
@@VSparxxx I like your sense of humor
@@BinPrivatHier humour and sarcasm is everything in a world full of pain
It's humour for you, but for those in the dark, it's contributing to the bad in the world😢
@@VSparxxx The pain I felt when my brain got tricked and I realized it a second later 😢😅
boy o boy, cant wait for this to be pushed to prod
Why the screen so small😂, it seems like the buttons are quite fiddly to press 😅
Why the chicken crossed the road ?
Why can't you tell us rough ETA so that people can make reasonable buying decisions😂
@@TaskerVhun there's no eta nor do I care about one.
Amazing work
what basket you using?
To be honest, I don't really like the new UI. It looks a little bit messy without a clear common thread. For example why putting the descale button, which takes quite a lot of space, on the front screen? There should only be ui components which you really use daily. Then I don't really like the mix of round shapes and shapes with bigger and smaller rounded corners and overall the coloring is so different on every page. I think this project would benefit from a good ui/ux designer. What I really like though is the new graph for the extraction. Will the new UI be accessible from a browser? Is it necessary to get a bigger screen?
Nobody perfect
Sorry to hear. No need to upgrade.
Fire!!!
Can anyone tell me what music is playing here?
In the description.
The UI is running at around 10fps 😮 hard to get used to when your phone's got a 120hz screen
Can your phone make you espresso as well ?
Thats a lot of telemetry! You need a Pi Server for that coffee machine
MY BODY IS READY
Your body your temple ))))
Looking good :) Next demo can you show off the steam wand? I know it'll probably look similar, but not seen it on the next gen.
The multi stage brew looks really cool!
I know it's not needed (it's was created due to constraints on brew head size in small machines), but now you could simulate the double pull on a lever machine that got more coffee out.
I was looking at the original source, and was wondering if you could share a unique code to contain all the brew config on a profile (strip the name, lower values to smaller integers, and have defaults, and unused data if not checked). Which now would be much harder with new brew phases, but not needed if we ever go WIFI. But brew phases are cool, I'd take that over a share code anyday.
Tbh i don't really get what you're trying to say, also wdym by showcase the steam wand, you want a video of the wand ?
@@VSparxxx I assume @showoffvideo meant that you could try to compress all the info of a profile into a single "code" so that you can easily share profiles with other people.
Something like this: a single step in a profile is represented as follows: "the first 8 bits encode the timestamp (in seconds), the next 7 bits the brew temperature, the next 4 bits the target pressure" (leaving out other things for simplicity). The whole profile is just a list of all these steps. Print this out in hex or whatever and you get a "compressed" version of the profile that someone else can type it by hand.
So a simple example profile:
Step 1: t:0s, temp: 93, target pressure: 6 bar --> 00000000 1011101 0110
Step 2: t: 5s, temp:93, target pressure: 9 bar --> 00000101 1011101 1001
Step 3: t: 25s, temp: 93, target pressure: 0 bar --> 00011001 101101 0000
The full profile becomes the following bit sequence 00000000101110101100000010110111011001000110011011010000 which in hex would be "BAC0B76466D0". At a friend's place we are now typing this "code" into their machine and voila, we have shared a profile.
Obviously there is more complexity to this, but I think that was the idea of @showoffvideo
@@gustserve i guess nobody heard of qr codes but also what's the benefit of doing this type of sharing when you can export/import a profile already?

No its not elocrow!
@@jomoin alright I continue trying to find which ESP32 screen running LVGL it is 😅
