pure awesomeness all around 😎💪 small layout / ux nitpicks: - shot history row selection could use a highlight color on tap (visual feedback) - same for the delete button tap (it feels like nothing is happening after it’s pressed) - settings menu could use a margin on the right (leading space of right split has a big gap but trailing edge is pressed against the bezel)
I'm sure there are 1000 things they want to do but every change takes time and troubleshooting alot of the time..
yep, just wanted to capture that in case it was missed, as these are the “obvious” kinks in the interface that everyone will experience daily

I purchased the whole kit for lego control mode but I haven't started assembling it yet. This new UI might be released at perfect timing for me. I hope the MCU board won't change though.

interesting. i kinda liked the retro raw look of previous version more. imo the overly rounded corners / clean ui doesn’t fit the style of the gaggia machine design which has this industrial look to it. but i’m sure the usability is greatly improved beyond my mere visual nitpicking. if we can have themes for this then that’d be solved. anyway, thanks for working on this 💪 🙏 awesome work, keep it going
I say it's hard judging based purely on these videos as the overall experience can't really be portrayed, when it's all hooked up to the machine and you can use both embedded via the screen or the we app via a browser it makes more sense because they are done to feel like a continuous experience rather than a sharp cut when switching from one to the other, or if using both, side by side.

There is no point me telling you which screen is this because the software is not yet released for this, it's going to be released in the next month or so, then you'll find the screen and everything.
I think it would be helpful to know which screen it is - Aliexpress shipping speeds and all.
I guess this is esp32 build in screen 4.3" with capacitive touch version and 13 wires connection to the old pcb board v3 ?

Not sure if this is a new version of the current DreamSteam feature of the STM32 Blackpill, but I already tested using a 4 hole tip in a Rancilio Silvia Steam Wand adaptation for Gaggia and didn't have enough power, I had to go again with the one hole tip to froth milk. It does not maintain pressure and as a result I don't get any foam to rise
It's much improved yes but a 4 hole tip is too much anyway, it would be too much for even higher end machines and you're trying to use that on a 100ml boiler.
Can the existing gaggiuino users upgrade to this software and screen easily?

We don't need to froth for a full 6 minutes-just the initial minute is crucial. What I noticed was inconsistent squirting, which will negatively impact the frothing outcome.
You're trying too hard, maybe grind finer.

@@robbjosh I was joking because it was such a long soak. But now that I look closer, I see the "Low Rider" profile. I've been using the "Bloom" profile. It's worked great for me.

It is a Rancilio Silvia steam wand.
@@iloveslideking are you sure? It seems a lot more angled and with a tilt capability that, from what I've seen on-line, isn't the case with the rancilio steam wand mod. I own a gaggia classic evo pro and the rancilio steam wand seems a lot like mine. Wich is significantly different from the one from the video.
