    Skinner-McDavid-Hyman

      @@SSHockey I think the prevailing school of thought right now is that Kane will likely get surgery after his summer vacation and will be on LTIR til playoffs.

    • @mNag
      @mNag Před měsícem

      @@SSHockey Also, I dunno if line combos really matter. The entire forward lineup could look good playing with McDavid. It's super deep. I expect lots of mixing and matching all year. I assume Kane will be on LTIR... and I think Holloways probably plays more games than Perry. And I think we got a couple prospects who could also see icetime. Lavoie plays a lot like Kane and could be a fit temporarily if he plays well in camp; and Savoie is a lot like Brayden Point and considering Perry doesn't PK, I could see him pushing Perry down to a 13th forward or first AHL call-up.

    In regards to Evander Kane, the Oilers have 3 primary options, including; a) Provided that he waives his no movement clause in his contract, the Oilers could trade him for someone else (making a lot less money) or a draft pick(s). b) Depending on what happens with his ongoing sport's hernia, Kane could return to play in the regular season/playoffs, or, c) If he needs a delicate operation (probably in late August) and needs a considerable amount of time to recover, he could be placed on LTIR which in turn would free up over 5 million dollars in cap space. Then, if this should be the case, the Oilers would be able to re-sign players such as Dylan Holloway while at the same time being cap compliant. Problem solved.

    Forgot Skinner in mock lines haha. I think the Oilers go with:
    Skinner - McDavid - Hyman (Skinner gives McDavid a pure sniper option, while Hyman provides the power forward option, both of which are proven to have the most success paired with McDavid)
    RNH - Draisaitl - Arvidsson (essentially the spiritual successor to the line with Yamamoto only Arvidsson is the same player as Yams just 2x better at least)
    Kane/Holloway - Henrique - Perry/Savoie (this is either the grinder line with Perry in, or it's legitimately a 1st line on the Ducks with Savoie in. Depends on which type of style the team wants.Also depends on Kane's health on whether or not Holloway is here or 4C)
    Fourth line is Janmark - Ryan/Holloway - Brown (you absolutely keep janmark and Brown together, and then whoever for 4C between Ryan and some of the Bakersfield prospects)
    Defense you nailed though. Ceci probably traded and Brown as the 3RD. Or kulak traded, Broberg 3LD, and we go another regular season with Nurse - Ceci til TDL
