She can barely hold her head up but her showing she's strong enough to give love is so heartwarming. ❤ Appreciate you all!
A friend of mine saved a dog, Eddie, in the same condition as this a few years ago. He had no home and was spotted wandering in the bush. Even he still showed love despite his horrendous condition. They know when someone is trying to help them ❤🥺
Thankyou for all you do for these little dogs ❤. Sending hugs from the UK
Rocky, Bag O Day Crochet on CZcams does a blanket auction to raise money for local shelters in her area. Last year she raised $40,000 for a shelter just auctioning beautiful crochet blankets. Her goal this year is $50,000. Her viewers donate the beautiful blankets to be auctioned. It's amazing! @bagodaycrochet

She’s so adorable! 🥰❤️🐶
I cried like I knew her personally when I found out this dog passed away. I don't care if that makes me unmanly. This poor baby deserved better.
There's nothing wrong with having emotions. It doesn't make you any less of a man. Embrace your emotions. It's definitely one thing more men should do, which is easier said than done.
It just makes you human
Your right she did deserve better Rip
@@SSR_RedDevil Emotions help men to have empathy and understanding toward others. We need more of that in life. It brings strength, not weakness. Love becomes a richer experience. ❤️❤️❤️
@@joannemcardle1848 I couldn't agree more.
To see a pittie in this condition rips me apart. I was rescued by one 2 years ago and she saved my life and changed my world. These are the most amazing, misunderstood dogs.
I lost my heart, he was 15, in April of last year and I thought I had hit the worst period in my life and then my Mother had a fall this past December and needed a partial hip replacement. Unfortunately, the hospital didn't tell us they had a Covid epidemic so we didn't wear masks. My Mother caught it right away and my brother was next and I finally caught. It was in a 48 hour period. Then Mom's went to pneumonia and between the coughing and the pain of the partial replacement she couldn't bear it. Her heart gave out on December 14, 2023. Now I have hit bottom. I keep saying I'm going to donate time to our Humane Society but I don't know if I'm ready to face all these animals. I guess I won't know Until I try.
Growing up, my neighbors had a pittie. He would watch us as we played and the few times a bear was nearby - this was rural Montana - he would alert us and start howling to get my mom's attention so she knew something was wrong. He wasn't even ours, but he loved us just because we petted him. Just for such a tiny gesture of affection, he protected us without hesitation. I miss him dearly. He was a good boy, even if he did have an irrational fear of fish in the creek. (If one jumped he would *bolt* for home. I don't think he realized he was tough, tbh.)
@@lmcsquaredgreendale3223 you should definitely try! They need you. The only thing stopping me is my health and lack of reliable affordable transportation.
I'm so sorry. I don't know you but I am sending you warmth. If you watch this channel I know this means you're a good person. I wish things turn up for you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ @@lmcsquaredgreendale3223
Thanks!
Pitties get a bad reputation because of their breed but they’re so loving once they know what love is.
Had nothing to do with breed. It’s prior owners who treat dogs like this one. Starving, abuse, and making them aggressive. OR they get one because it’s a cute puppy but don’t want to commit to the responsibilities of owning a dog in the first place. Shame on those people. If you can’t properly take care of a dog, DON’T HAVE ONE! Stop blaming the breed of the animals with that lame excuse.
☝️
Humans should have the bad name...
Rotties are the same. Lovable playful dumplings
No such thing as bad dogs, only stupid humans. We seem to always have to have something to fear and hate. Before Pitties, it was Rottweilers. Before that it was German Shepherds. Before that it was Dobermans. I'm guessing it will be Cane Corsos next as they are becoming more popular. Wait and see.
It has more to do with human ignorance, greed and savagery, forcing them to fight, have multiple litters, and teaching them to be vicious.
I don't have much, but I have food and shelter, this goes to her for her own food and shelter. Hang in there Valerie! ❤❤❤
🙏🙏🙏
Wow, awesome 👌
Every amount matters, it will all be put to good use.❤
Your the best!!!!such a kind human!
❤❤❤❤ we need more kind souls like you. Xx
My coonhound was almost as emaciated as this when I found him by the side of the road. He was about 6 months old then and now he’s a spoiled 11yo. I hope this pup finds her forever home
Thank you for rescuing him. Every dog deserves a chance to have a good life.
Thank you for all the love you have given to your doggie
I was thinking the exact same thing. My coonhound was found as a stray and put into rescue so we don't know what happened, but he was this emaciated, and he was so scared. That was 6 years ago and now he's a spoiled, mischevious senior. It's heartbreaking to see these stories but we know exactly how good their lives can get.
Scritches and cuddles for the overly-svelte pibble-luv, Valerie. Many thanks to Rocky, the shelter, and especially the rescue group that will be the bridge between her old life and her new.
Thank you 😊
Her body ate all her muscles. Pitties are super muscular.
Her nose looks like it was constantly poking through a fence or cage!
This breaks my heart 💔
It feels like neglect 😢
poor girl
Yeah, unfortunately I was thinking the exact same thing. So sad. She will get better, bigger, stronger and have a new loving home soon.
The damage to the top of her nose/snout area looks like sunburn to me. Our neighbors mistreat their dogs, but the city hasn't done anything because they say it's not bad enough. One of them had raw, sunburned skin that the flies attacked. Not bad enough? Humph! 😔
@@samsmom1491can you call the SPCA or something like that? I mean, how bad does it have to be before the city will do something? I would contact the city and tell them you will be contacting the local news channel to expose them. You’d be surprised how fast they will act because they don’t want the negative exposure.
Its neglect.
Theres a couple things that can make a well cared for dog lose massive weight, certain cancers or malabsorbtion syndromes can do it. But dogs like that have doting owners who do everything they can to keep their loved pet happy and as healthy as they can until its time to say goodbye. They arent in shelters with wounds on their muzzles and massively overgrown nails.
Seeing her on a soft bed, surrounded with plushie friends, doesn't make me think of her past, it lets me know the rest of her life will be filled with love.
It’s reminds me they are so innocent and that she deserved a lot better that the scumbag owners that done that to her
Let's get this pretty gorl into a rescue and give her a fighting chance! I have a pit mix and I can't imagine leaving my girl in the state this one is in.
You are Amazing!!!
Bless you for your generosity!!!
❤
My husband and I rescued an American Bulldog that had been dumped after producing a litter of puppies. We got her from an emergency foster placement. 56 lbs when found collapsed on the side of the road, 62 lbs when we took her home. When she was finally strong and healthy she weighed 85 lbs. Her transformation was wonderful and she appreciated every bit of kindness for the rest of her life. Great dog who blessed our family.
Rescued so love and appreciate you when they have been rescue. My guy sleeps by me always and us close by during the day.
Thank you. May Yahuah bless you and your family for your kindness.
This upsets me that your calling her a pittie she is an American stafforshire Terrier and they are sweet little angels and so are pits but she is not a pit , I pray for that little angel❤️🙏🫶
@@gloriamargolis581 Most people recognize that often dogs are lumped into the category "pitbull-type" including American Staffordshire Terriers. Dogs with big blocky muscled heads, muscular chest, and those adorable ears (if not horribly cropped) are called "pitbulls". Its OK - for every pitbull hater, there are those who recognize the evil is not in the breed, but in the breeder/abuser of the dog. Even having multiple "pitbulls" as protection animals, and Only training for aggression, is abuse. Those dogs are likely to see everyone (except their owner) as "the threat" and be aggressive to them. It is the training, not the dog.

My heart breaks knowing she didn't make it. I hope whoever is responsible doesn't ever get another dog or chance to do this again 💔
Handled many like that. You'd be surprised how quickly they come back. She is absolutely beautiful. In rescue, one thing you learn quickly is no matter how hard we want to we can't change the past. We can only be in the present and change her from that moment on. She will make an absolutely amazing dog for someone!
I think you are right! She's gonna be amazing.
Rocky was she missing her toy ? to lean on..maybe not
In life; its a hard lesson.
Thank you for all you do for the animals.
She is beautiful. And they need stronger laws against animal abuse. For all who help these poor fur babies, Thank You ALL..
Such A beauty ❤️
Thanks for showing her love and care.
So glad Valerie's going to be taken care of now! She looks like such a sweetie!
I love what you're doing Rocky! ❤️🙏🏼 This pitty girl is such a cutie pie! It looks like she's been through the ringer! Poor thing!
Thank you and I think you’re right. I’m glad we’re here to help
It’s heartbreaking that Valerie didn’t make it. She was so adorable and deserved a much better life. She seems so sweet and lovely, people can’t hate pit bulls, she didn’t do anything wrong. ❤
This is sooooo sad! She was amazing and didn't have any chance for a real life
This dog needed i.v. fluids along with nutrition i.v.s. You can tell Valerie isn't going to make it, by seeing this video. That being said, thank you for trying.
😢
What a loving dog despite her terrible state. She deserves a loving forever home.
Thank you! Will use this towards the donation to the rescue that pulls her ❤🤙

For the poor girls rescue. Thanks!
For being as hungry as she must be, she's so gentle taking those treats from your hand. She's obviously a sweet natured dog.
Super thanks Rocky and team for what you do
My dog died not that long ago. I remember how nervous he was the first time we met. Seeing these videos makes me feel so much better, because I thought I wouldn't be able to be happy seeing a dog again after his death. ❤❤
I'm sorry for your loss

my dog fell down the stairs and broke his back. Had to put him down. 14 years with me. he was almost 200 pounds. I couldn't move him. Been over a year and got myself another dog. Named him Boomer. He' so great!! 1.5 year old German Shepherd.
Dogs are so great!!

I'm so glad she's in a large room away from the noise of the rest of the shelter and finally receiving the best care possible.
Yes! I was thinking the same. ❤
Yes poor baby doesn't need extra stress
I love you Valarie! Thank you Rocky for truly loving our furbies 🐾🐾🐾❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

I can't do much but if everyone did a little it adds up! Thank you for all you do ❤
She is going to "clean up" beautifully! She's starved for love and affection. Thx, Rocky, for all the love you give these fur babies ❤
God bless you for your kindness, and St. Francis for guiding her to you. Love and respect from NJ.
I think Patience is a good name for her. God love her.

She's in the same condition a lot of our foster babies have been. Once she gets into a rescue like the one we have foster for , she will be unrecognizable! She will transform into a princess! Decade long pittie foster mom here. She is going to make a family SO happy!
LOVE THAT FACE & LOVELY SPIRIT!!!
Wish her a fast recovery 🙏🏻
Sincerely Heartbroken, a sweet pup like that deserved better. 😢

Seeing just how horribly emaciated she is but still so loving and accepting of attention and treats, makes my eyes wet. When she gets better and fills out and builds back her muscles, she will be a wonderful companion for a loving forever home.
I live close to AFOTV and I wish I could do more. Thank you for all you do!
Good luck Valerie, love ❤❤❤
What a sweet girl. Get strong!
Sorry to hear the news of Valerie’s passing, it is heartbreaking but we know she is in good place healthy and running like a puppy again over the rainbow bridge
Omg so sad to hear😢
A name. I'd have chosen "Hope". She clearly has hope. This dog's spirit - for all she's been through, has a survivor's spirit.
Carol, I was thinking the same thing. The name seems to really suit her.
May she rest in peace .. run free with the angels precious girl xoxox

I pray this precious girl gets a safe home and gets well. 🙏
Thanks! I don’t understand how anyone can do that to any animal.
Heartless ones, cruel ones do. Thank you for the donation
Really the most disgusting kind of animal is the human that does something like this.
Stay strong Rocky. When I was homeless I held to the fact that I had to take care of my dog and keep her safe. We made with the help of our Father in Heaven. It was rough though.
5 yrs old.
Who knows what her gentle eyes have seen.
She still had trust and love in her heart.
I so wish she had had a chance to be loved and adored like she deserved.
Prayers and love to you, sweet one.
What you said about some dogs not having a name made me want to cry. She was a living creature with feelings. She mattered. Thank you for not just showing her kindness but dignity as well.
We just found out our 14 year old yorkie has lung cancer. Had her treated for cancer 2 years ago, and the surgeon believed he got it all (mammary). The X-ray looks bad, one whole lung is full of tumor. We brought her home from the hospital, and as long as she can eat, we will take care of her.
Thanks for the work you do
I just want to hold her and hug her and keep her safe and fatten her up..... Poor, sweet soul.. I pray she gets the BEST home ever!!!❤🙏
Such a beautiful girl. I pray you get a good family who will love you forever.
I couldn't do what you do because I would want to take them all home. She's beautiful! I luuuuvvv pitties!!! There are no bad pitties, just bad owners!!! Glad to see she on the road to a good home. Thanx for sharing! ✌️😎👍
This sweet girl broke my heart, she is so weak. I hope she will get healthy and find a loving family, I would love to see a happy update in the future ❤❤❤ Thank you to everyone who cares for these darling doggies
Thanks! You are so strong to do this for these babies. It’s so heartbreaking how some pets are treated. Put this toward the pittie. Thanks for all you do!
She looks to me like a good girl house pet, whose owner died, and wasn't discovered for a week or two. Or something tragic like that. She needs food and rest, and that lovely love you give her. I would name her Bunny, for Easter.
She is quite skinny for a dog that was starving for a week or 2. It is okay to think the better of people but sometimes, they are the worst as well
Yeah...how would you know that...this is not what happened...her condition takes months...not after someone's death!!
Love the name Bunny! Gets my vote!
Bunny is good. I would call her Honey Bunny 🐰!
2 weeks of going hungry is not enough bad treatment to do that kind of thinning damage. She is soooo thin, she's probably been quite malnourished for months. Poor girl.
My name is the same as hers and I needed this. Dogs are the thing i have to hold on to in my very dark place.
I’ve recently started sitting with dogs and it has become the highlight of my week these days. Thank you for the inspiration.
Hoping for a speedy recovery! She is beautiful. Thank you ❤
I have two dogs that I'm helping to recover from this state that were dumped on our property. It's tough and so heartbreaking, but so rewarding when they're ready to get up and play and just GO
Thank you so very much for your time and efforts.
Bless you!
She is so beautiful! May she be truly healed and find a living home when she is ready.
I rescued a 15 month old American Pit bull Terrier, and he was emancipated as well. He was also abused, but now 9 months later he has gained 20 LBs, and is such a delight. He is a companion to my 5 yr old American Bully, and I am so happy to have been able to rehab him.
She is really skin and bones - even her head looks so bad. She should have been brought to a shelter long before. I am sure this baby has a heart of gold. Watching your videos with poor dogs who have been neglected and dumped by the humans they relied on it often makes me cry how forgiving they are... 😢❤😢
I can't believe how sweet and cuddly she is
This breaks my heart. The cruelty of letting this fur baby starve. Thanks, Rocky for being there for her. I pray she recuperates and finds her forever home with a family that will love and care for her.
Love that pittie, and love all the work that you do. I am a crazy cat lady presently... But I foresee dogs in my future again. Thanks!
She has a beautiful soul its horrible how humans treat these babies
The scab on her nose has a heart shape! Maybe a sign of the universe that she will be happy!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rocky I love your stories for humans and dogs. How you treat your dog you will treat your children.
Her life from now is so positive. It's going to get better.
Rocky seeing this girl make me cry. I don't see how someone could be that cruel.

Just like WWII when the American Soldiers came across the concentration camps. They immediately started giving all the food they had on them. The Drs said stop it will cause their stomachs to explode. Then they had men cook gentle soups. Brought in blankets. And so much more.
