At 2:57 .... “ that’s a lot of work to make a cookie “
I just found and subscribed to Bard's Craft the other day.
Excellent
Applying a wash to the plants would help reduce their plastic sheen.
Spray paint is great too as long as you can vary the colors.
Oh yeah, I binged almost all of Bard's videos. His use of cardstock to make that dragon skeleton was awesome.
His fast-paced style is so....classic. It doesn't look pro, but it looks vibrant, and both fun to make and fun to use. Got the spirit.
@@WylochsArmory We must have Oats, brother.
Yes, oäts
*Never* would have thought to use dried herbs for scatter! Brilliant!
Raiding my spice rack for ground cover and foliage is such an amazing idea! I didn't want to buy expensive craft foliage, so this is a great alternative.
Hey Wylock! I just followed that link to the Bard's Craft (Autumn Temple) - My jaws on the floor and I can hardly breath! "With this kitchen knife - I create the world!" Gobsmacked!
Yeah BC is awesome.
Thanks :)
Lovely of you to help out a smaller channel, very few do but it really makes a difference.
From the crafting guilds website :
‘We’re going to do more to consciously bring attention to the many smaller CZcams channels out there.’
Keep up the cool stuff !
'Tis what we do. The problem is there's SO MANY (literally over 100) that it's becoming harder to discover in the first place! On that note.....SUBSCRIBED!
You do what you can, much respect.
I would love more collabs and friendly competition between crafting channels too.
Thank’s ! And welcome to the workshop.
Great work! These look great - If you want a very alien style bases you can use aquarium plants too, they are often very vibrant colours and can get big bags of them for next to nothing!
I just started crafting and I love your videos my friends are jealous of my builds this helped a lot have a good day
Thx!
Some great looking jungle scatter.
Thx!
It's cool to see you reference Terrain Tutor, that guys got some awesome videos.
Thank you for this sweet hybrid technique and intro to bard's craft!
Yup!
I'm surprised that you haven't done these pieces yet. I have been following your channel quite a long time as a crafter myself, I assumed this was an old video. :D Great as always.
PS: I discovered Bard's Craft like 2 days ago before this. :)) He's such a good crafter and the channel is great.
Thx!
Very nice build!
Yay Bards Craft! And of course The Terrain Tutor.
Cal Vanoni and Miscast, Luke’s APS, BMC, scotty, Eric’s hobby workshop, Crafting muse, Dark matter workshop 😉 and a thousand others......
Yes.
Wow, these came out great! I'm definitely trying this stuff for my new nature terrain.
"Whatya think of Wylock's scatter terrain?" - "Mmm, tastes abit like pizza!" - fantastic build, the low level parts are great but my jury is still out, on plastic foliage - I've built terrain [not for gaming] using plastic greenery, but i'm never really satisfied BUT....as you offer cheap and cheerful [but very effective] options to gamers, this is a brilliant project to bring their tables more to life. All your inexpensive hacks are, to my delight, getting people making and it must add to their gaming experience exponentially. Keep up the good work - and big shout out to Mel/TheTerrainTutor, an inspiration to us all!
sweet, if i can micronize these i could use them for battletech tabletop game☝️😎👍, thanks for sharing😁
They look great! Thanks for sharing this and the links.
You always inspire me, thank you. I've been using your techniques in my own builds. Keep it up
Thx!
An unusual source of vegetation scenery I found has been glycerine soaked cuttings from bushes and hedges; if you get the cuttings sized right you can have some really nice looking ‘frees’ and bushes for your scatter pieces!
Fantastic video! Has the classic Wyloch feel that I’ve come to love.
I too have struggled with nature stuff. I just finished some forest scatter, I wish I had known about the parsley and oregano trick, but oh well.
Once again, great vid, keep em coming!
Thx!
Nice work Wyloch. Enjoyed the variety of foliage you used. Well done.
Chow,
John...
Thx!
Good one! Bards craft is great! Just found him a few days ago. He disturbs me with the big kitchen knife 😜but no blood spilled so far at least in the videos. Terrain tutor is a good egg too!
Dont forget about lukes aps and blackmagiccraft ;)
Bahah! Bard’s Craft you wield your kitchen knife like a pro. Still freaks me out watching you! But I love the videos!❤️👍😆
I miss the beer opening.
Same.
Wow! Those turned out great!
Thx!
Oregano, great idea. I've been looking for something cheap and works as ground cover. I never thought to look in my spice rack for something.
Love it. Great lookn bases. Excellent use of dollar store cheap florals.
Awesome as always chief
Thx!
Fantastic as always!!
Thx!
Dollar store spices for flocking in brilliant. Video was worth it just for that.
Love your work. Quick story. Yesterday was talking to a person new to the hobby and they watch your channel but they did not know what foam board was. Here in DownUnder, it is often sold as foam core. So we went to the local stationary big box store and a few hours later the new-to-the-hobby man has made a base and cut out some walls of a chapel. Thanks for inspiring people. Cheers.
Thanks so much
great work
Thx!
This is a really cool set of scatter terrain. I'm itching to make some stuff and soon, but I have to get space first (just moved house and everything is pretty chaotic) and some basic supplies. Then I'm going to be busy! Yeah.
By the way, I came here via Black Magic Craft, and I found him via Luke Towan. I also subscribe to Luke's APS, DM Scotty and Bard's Craft (I found them in the order listed). I am loving these table top gaming tutorials even though I'm planning on using these things for Barbie doll dioramas! What I love most about the DM crafters is the fact that you use easy to find items so that those of us with less income can still make brilliant stuff.
Thank you sir
Off to buy some spice tomorrow
Ironically was there today at the dollar store to get beads for the Beholder eyes
Nice to see Shas'o R'alai 9:45
Messy??? Looks like Olaf the snowman exploded :))
CZcams recommended me here so the algorithm ain't all bad lol, great video
I found wyloch channel via terrain Tudor channel when I was looking for some stuff, then I found the bard craft and then the team of the crafting guild. But I found terrain Tudor from "Luke Towan" and is stuff for scenic terrain, get a look guys, all that channel are great
Thx!
Max dm crafting is also great.
You should make a desert with bones
Definitely doing this for my swamp/jungle board. Also how'd you do your marble bases for your custodes? Looks amazing!
I 3D modeled the tile "toppers" and then printed them. Then sand in the broken-away chunks. Base coat white. Airbrush gray along the tile seams. Heavy wash the seams and the sand with Agrax. Then do the marble streaking exactly as described here: czcams.com/video/a0pGumGvczc/video.html
Those look great! I cringed when I saw you molding on your cutting mat. Lol. Looks like it did come clean 😉
So, I have two cutting mats. One of them is a lost cause. The other is pristine. When I do wet work, I pull out the sacrificial one.
Nice!
Wyloch was spying Bard's Craft to see if he uses corrugation, ain't that right Wyloch 😉😉😉
Oooo Tau! And some new units for the custodes I think? (wait are the Custodes just new as well? I forget who has what armies with all the channels I watch)
Custodes are old, but I do have a new tank and dreadnought for them (3D printed). And the Tau are 98% done being painted.
could you do a video for snow scatter terrain?
Love Bard's Craft, but I had to give up on Mel and the Terrain Tutor because he did the Vee thing and live broadcasts are time consuming and boring with no real info. I don't have time to socialize for 2 hours to get 5 minutes of info.
Great video! But can I ask a question? Who down-votes a video like this? Somebody who's had a harrowing experience with Oregano? Is it as simple as "a troll in a basement?" I just always SMH when I see that. Like...who does that?
how did you do the bases on those custodes? They look great
I 3D modeled the tile "toppers" and then printed them. Then sand in the broken-away chunks. Base coat white. Airbrush gray along the tile seams. Heavy wash the seams and the sand with Agrax. Then do the marble streaking exactly as described here: czcams.com/video/a0pGumGvczc/video.html
Hey Wyloch what about having a new line to heroes hoard WALLS that aren't on tiles. And having clip on features for them. I'd love these.
Can you clarify? These would be freestanding walls? If so, 1/4 inch is pretty thin, fall over very easily.
Yes free standing and at the bottom would be little stand.
9th ed warhammer rules talk about trees and such. Thanks
Guns and Roses : jungle, welcon to the jungle))
Did you experience any warping of the chipboard base and if so is there a remedy? I do not really like using MDF and it is hard to get EPVC (terrain tutor's choice basing material) where I live.
The foamboard+chipboard sandwich prevented any warping. That said if you do experience warping, paint a layer of white glue on the bottom and wait a full 24 hours. You can see this exact solution in action here: czcams.com/video/PAxf69WJ91Y/video.html
See also; Aquarium plants.
Wait I just realized that you use dry Oregano haha
"What is this, oregano?"

one queestion, i use a Water Spray Bottle, but it constantly get clotty, any advise?
After I'm done using it, I always remove the spray portion and put in a sink with water, and run it through with clean water. Then re-screw it onto the bottle of glue-water without pulling the trigger.
@@WylochsArmory thank you very much :)
🤗
Mod Podge formula/ingredients?
It can be found in any crafting store, and most likely any Walmart. You can google image search to see what the bottle looks like.
Damn you CZcams... You Unsubbed me.
Fixed that.
You lie! Mine warped!
Which direction?
