    Always appreciate it when you include your mistakes and missteps as part of the process. It's a good reminder that a) Mistakes happen to everyone, and b) They're not fatal!

    The sign for Sorcerous Sundries is the holy symbol of Mystra, goddess of magic. It's supposed to be a "rising red mist" with seven stars around it, but a flame is close enough.

    You’re ability to take items that would be viewed as trash and turn into something amazing is remarkable. You should do video titled trash to terrain and list all the different “trash” items you have converted over the years. I have used yogurt cups for various huts, paper milk containers for houses, etc.

      @FactorySoylent Před rokem +2

      Yes, and even after we were shown that the dome could be removed I thought the same! Especially when the video showed the light fixture it was made from, clearly it had to be lit from inside, I thought, despite having seen the interior with my own eyes! Wyloch is very proud of his use of oil paints, as he should be, but the dome was no less magical!

I can't help but to wonder if all this experience you're getting with these three dimensional, dioramic pieces from your Baldur's Gate project wouldn't inevitably be very beneficial if you were to ever tackle another famous D&D dungeon... Sorcerous Sundries was just drawing my eyes to it as I first entered Baldur's Gate on my first playthrough, and to this day, that's my favorite building in the city (along with Ramazith's Tower). This one looks just the "real" one in the game, makes me want to just craft it for my running Baldur's Gata campaign (though we're playing 100 years after the events of the game, Minsc & Boo's Journal of Villainy is an amazing source for this).

    That's a great way to recycle those fixtures.
    I've seen some videos showing how folks painted banners for wargaming miniatures on paper. They would varnish the paper before painting. From what I could see, this not only protected the paper from warping while being painted as well as making it more durable for use.
    Also, there's a possibility that dried out wet wipes or cleaning wipes could work out better for that marbling technique. I saw a video from a Japanese painter on youtube where they used an air dried wet wipe for marbling.

    If you’re going to be doing airbrushing stencils or any other painting stencil for that matter, a Cricut is a great investment. You can get a number of different materials and finishes to use in it and it creates great stencils or cutouts in no time at all. I’m going to use it for my future projects.
