Got mine today doesn't work like all the other comments. Spent ages on the phone to be told that the problem is the hdmi cable and that they'll send a new cable in 5 working days. I told the guy that I've tried 5 different working hdmi cables and he just kept saying the box is working and the cable is the problem 😭.
I got sky stream downstairs and got this to see if it was as good as the sky stream. Total nightmare. If you're reading this don't get a virgin stream box, just get sky stream instead.

I also had to swap out a different USB cable and plug before I could get past the grey/blue blank screen. It's now working, but I only took the box as Virgin said activating it would let them send out some WiFi boosters, which makes the hassle more annoying
My stream just shows red light not blue as shown in the video.. what it means?? finally its not connecting at all... Don't know what to do..
My stream box just shows a sign like the stream box needs to be charged or something and the screen just goes black. It reacts to the remote but it doesn't do anything
Mine too 😭 rang virgin they said they activated it and to wait 45 minutes . . . Still not working. Did you get yours working?
@@Bad_P0tato I left it on for like an hour thinking it needed a charge or something, still nothing. Glad to know I don't stand alone, just hope it won't take too long until virgin is aware of this particular problem, customer care wasn't too helpful on my end either :/
@@Bad_P0tato got mine today pair the controller then just got a like blue screen did you get yours working ?
@@Scutty08 mine still isn't working. Some people online said they used a different micro usb cable and it made it work, so you could try that. I managed to boot it into recovery mode and update the software but after that it said the box wasn't getting power 😭. Virgin have been no help at all. I've tried everything and mine is still not working.
@@AngelicPelican hope they sort it. Some people online fixed it by using a different USB cable m the issue seems to be that the USB cable supplied isn't providing enough power to boot the box up. Mine still isn't working this and I've tried 6 different cables
The adapter that comes with box to connect Ethernet cable and usb didn’t work so I put the usb end into tv and connected via Wi-Fi.
Has anyone connected this via wifi to non virgin kit? I have google Mesh and the Virgin Hub set to modem only mode... I read somewhere this may cause an issue and it needs to be connected directly to the hub?
they did not deliver any power plug
If only I could stream recordings from my main tv box and use the sky and bt sport channels on the stream. I’m not paying twice for the sports channels !.
Do you need to use the power adaptor to power it, or can you use the supplied USB cable and power it from the TV's USB socket?
Best to use the power plug for no random power offs and for it to get all the power it needs otherwise it will be running low power which isn't good. This is same for Streaming sticks
