This is a super cool video and the subtitles didn't detract from it but that music sure did.
I've never seen a part repaired like that, very impressive.
Amazing to see the plating built up and polished. The damage disappears as if it was never there.
Nifty music , cheered me up 😋
the music bops!
Very informative video in it's intended purpose....plating.
Now if the previous post wishes a grammar lesson, perhaps he should view one of the head-start videos for pre-schoolers.
I think you did a great job. Music didn't bother me in the least. I was watching what you were doing. I am trained in brush plating through LDC Iearned from late Hutch. Great guy and knew his stuff. I trained with copper, nickel, and chrome. Keep up the great work. All the best.
I am a chinse supplier of brush plating. for more info you can visit :

Hi, I would like to know if I can prepare the nickel liquid myself or where I can get it
Hi Keith, I knew Doug as well and was a loyal LDC customer. You say "late"? Did he pass? I know he sold is company but was not aware he was ill. Please let me know, I am hoping I am wrong.
got all i needed from this
Simply amazing.
nice repair job way better than spray welding
Hello, Bill? This is Pablo.
Ahh, Pablo Cruise. Back when music was worth listening to...
I'm loving the air fittings for quick disconnect from the rectifier, that's a great idea. Do you use Sifco chemicals? why the scotchbrite on the anodes (I do brush cad and zinc-nickel) nice outcome.
Hi Eric. At the time of this video we used LDC products but now we do use Sifco as they have taken over the chemical supply business. Scotchbrite helps keep a tighter grain structure for heavy builds. Good of you to spot the quick disconnects. That is NOT Sifco's idea!
You work in the Aviation industry?
Does anyone know how much current it works to do a good job or how do I get to measure the amount of amps per area? Thank you :)
I am a hard chrome plater. Nice video what’s the name of the setup. Would like to buy one !!
great work
Cheers!
Is it as strong as welding? or not?
Nice video sir thank you how can you do it on inner diameter
great video
Thank You!
Nice job sir ❤❤❤❤
Hi Paul, very nice video. May I have price information for that device? Many thanks..
I FOUND THIS GREAT VIDEO AFTER 1 WEEK'S SEARCHING!!!!
Exactly what i was looking for; T H A N K S Paul Arato very much.
For those about the music: M U T E it,and R E A D.
Thanks Jose, on both the process and the music, I chose it on a whim, did think it would be such a controversy.
Please confirm rectifier specifications to buy
Where are the cathode and the anode connected?
the current passes through the lathe bearings?
Yes, the cathode (-) is connected to the lathe but it is low DC amperage and it does not effect the lathe or the bearings. We have a lathe in our shop that is used daily for the past 20 years and no issues on the bearing at all. The anode is the plating tool.
Polishing looks fantastic but how durable is the repair comprable to original stainless steel.?
It is a metallurgical/molecular bond and has been tested to a hold strength of over 10,000 psi. The harness of the base metal is approximately 32 Rc, the nickel deposit is 52 Rc. The density is approximately 3 times that of a chrome plated deposit.
I like the song, reminds me of the 70s @ 80s
And great times they were!
Dalic Process or SIFCO ?
sooo ... let's see ... if i need to electroplate something i should damage it first??
how do you connect the workpiece to the negative pole?
Through the lathe. The low current will not effect the bearing at all.
love the song
love collecting music
can you let me know who this is
thanx
Pablo Cruise, and thank you. Sailors will likely understand and appreciate the music.
Im sailing away from here, going to an island .....Thanks! cant get the stupid song out my head now.
Sorry, hope its gone by now! Thanks for watching.
That was pretty awesome. I hope you don't have to listen to that song all day though. That was like elevator music on steroids.
Appreciate the comments. I put on some Jimmy Buffett when I get bored with this song. LOL
Great work and equipment .I want this type of equipment.please provide your information and how to contact you ??IAM from India .
Canadian Metal-ad Corporation. info@metalad.ca
Email me there, I will get it. Thanks Vamsi.
That music...wow...
Somebody knows who make this machine or represent in Brazil?
We were recently in Argentina doing similar work to this at a Candu nuclear station. If you want more information please contact us at info@metalad.ca
Wonder if you could rewall car cylinders with that like Nickel Plate mm or plate with something even harder to make the engine last longer I bet that the Automotive industry wouldn't want you to know about that if it worked and improved engine life
Industrial chrome plating should be great. Its super durable. Cant be thickly applied though so nickel under
background sound irritating but process superb
why didnt you choose to pre machine the part ?
Keeps the integrity of the part. Only fill in the scoring and leave as much base material as possible.
Great presentation.
Thank you! And thanks for watching.
excellent tutorial and explanation on the matter. the only thing you did not explain is the purpose of that horrendous music.
@keith cunningham every chance I get
Saya pingin belajar ini nickel plating
Video info is good the music background is not good it takes away from the video not related it all to the presentation
+Warren Tesh ,
Hi Warren. Thanks for watching. We made this video in China while working in a Candu Nuclear facility. There was a lot of Chinese being spoken in the back ground and I figured this may be better for most. I am a sailor by hobby, it was inspirational at the time. The content was my focus, the music was for the dreamer in me.
+Warren Tesh My thoughts exactly. If there was background noise while filming, there's no reason a commentary track couldn't have been dubbed on later. I hate the current plague of chewing gum music on so many YT videos.
We are working on more videos for the new year with other applications of the Brush Plating process. Comment are appreciated and noted. Thanks for watching.
This is meant to be a music video!
sick music bro
Cheers!
Apa aja kiamia yang di gunakan,
It is good only for non hard material it is not useful to hydraulic stafe . Because nickel is less than 15 RC . Hydraulic need 55 RC.
The music 😂😂 its ace dont get wrong but 😅😅
music overtakes the video. cant watch.
I enjoyed the video. However, hearing the technician tell What he was doing & why/what was taking place would have been real nice. The music in these how to videos really takes away from it all.
Can't tell all the information in one video. There is a lot of information about Brush Plating out there but it takes years to master. This was meant to show what we can do, it is not a how to video. The volume control should take care of your other issue.
"sever damage"
"severe" Sorry, I was in China that the time. Between learning a bit of Chinese and the rush I was in to make this, there are definitely some typos and grammatical errors. The next one we produce will be a little more polished. Thanks for watching.
i think i am the only person who didn't mind the music too much
I hope not the only one. Thanks for watching and listening.
You need someone who speaks English to proof read the subtitles for grammar.
That was to be my comment exactly. It is apparent after watching the entire video that the process is good and technician is skilled, however I almost stopped the video early on as the misspellings and grammar are so poor that I first thought the video was BS.
Holy crap! Get someone to proof-read your text or get your own dictionary so you can check those huge words over 5 letters!
I couldn't watch the video because of the music selection. Something more soothing like nails scratching a black board would have been better bud. Just Sayin~
Try turning your volume off.
Michael D. Baker 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Weird music!
Weird can be ok sometimes. Thanks for watching.
that music is horrible.
Piss poor. Quit at 1:25
Why did Porn Hub send me here?
Terrible music!
What, don't know what the mute button is for ?
not worth watching
I'd rather hear what he is doing and learn the details, instead of this stupid music.
Why do you have to play that damn annoying music....
music sucks IF I wanted music I would play a radio
Ya, this is a technical video (like a volume control), I guess ur in the wrong category.
Voted stupidest video of all time !
What the FUCK is this music. You ruined your video. Good work.
Christ on a bike, that shitty music makes my ears bleed. What is it, "Best of Elevator Musac 1970" or something?
Sorry about the music, looking back we could have chosen something else. For now please turn the audio off, it helps a lot! Thanks for watching.
+Paul Arato i loved the song dont be bothered by that stupid pric who cant turn down a song
