I love the phone conversation with the Master and the Doctor. A bit more about the Time War, and “are you asking me on a date?”
I was at a party with the actor who played Vivian Rook (the journalist). I said I admired her scream in this. Which she then proceeded to recreate for my benefit - and as a result to the entire party. It was quite the party-stealing moment. She really was able to do it for *quite* some time.
Torchwood would be the perfect show for Travis. A lot of Captain Jack doing what Captain Jack does best, alongside other pretty people, as well as tension, action and wild stuff
The first 2 seasons are great.
@@tcshack701 I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. Torchwood Season 3 is often considered some of the best-made tv in the entire Whoniverse (though it is emotionally heavy). And S1 is _rough_ at times, quality-wise.
@@theadamabrams It's a personal preference, I found Season 3 and 4 too intense for my liking. Though I will say season 3 was really well done.
The Doctor and the Master have a classic hero (or antihero)/sympathetic villain archetypical relationship
Harold Saxon is also a nice parody of Tony Blair, the UK's prime minister from 1997 - 2007, and the accompanying Blair Mania
'The downfall of Harriet Jones'. The Doctor brought her down and Saxon filled the vacuum. That's what happens when you interfere in Earth politics.
Jelly Babies are classic sweets/candy here, the 4th Dr (Tom Baker) used to hand them out and eat them.

this 3 parter is so great. the conclusion is sweet. here come the drums.
Try and find the UK version of the series 3 finale it’s longer than the other versions shown around the globe. They cut out loads of important scenes to cram in ads and those are the versions that ended up on non UK streaming sites. The BBC in the UK doesn’t have ads so we keep the unedited version

@@TravisViews damn. I wonder which version you saw 🤔 if the master danced to a scissor sisters song and Martha’s mom nearly shoots the master it’s the UK version. (Many other scenes missing) if not it was the very badly edited one

@@obiwankenobi687 Unfortunately he did watch the edited version. I'm the person on his Patreon paying for him to watch Doctor Who and I didn't realize that the episode is different outside of Britain. But it's too late now, he's just about to finish season 7 over on Patreon.
Yep, this run of stories is just great, and I still think the master reveal is the best setup and season arc in new who

However, given that in DW, aliens are kept secret from the public, but ARE known to the UN (UNIT is a thing, after all) it would make sense that all the countries within the UN have a united stance on matters concerning aliens, meaning they would have provisions in place to ensure that any democratically elected, but non-compliant, government either falls in line, or gets removed from office.

Definitely not the best episode of this series tho it had some great moments. Series 4 is waiting...
