We have a 2007 E250 (work van, no panel to remove) that we inquired about changing the cargo exterior door handle and they wanted $210.00 !! including the door handle (small shop, not Ford) Mouth dropped to the floor considering they only have to drill 2 screws and rivet 2 back in. Can’t tell you about the panel removal but our 2007 panels are identical to yours (the front one) so I imagine the doors are all the same on the 2007 also. Thank you for showing how you changed the handle, just saved us lots of money.... a 15 min job that they probably were trying to charged us 2+ hrs in labor for.
Glad to help out. And depending on the area the shop is located, sometimes they have to charge an arm and a leg just to cover the rent and cost of running a business. Can't say I blame them too much. Especially if it's in a high-priced area. But I'm glad to hear you were able to take care of it yourself and save some money. Thank you very much for your comment
Thanks for adding the note that you have to remove the door handle bezel and remove the second screw! I couldn't get my door to budge, so now I'm going to go try again.
No problem! I think you're the first person who actually saw the note. I got a lot of other comments of people being really mad that I forgot to mention it in the video. Or trying to school me. Thanks!
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I just noticed the note today after following your video the other day and failing to remove the door. Keep up the good videos!
1999 - four screws instead of three but otherwise same magic. Huge appreciation, saved me a ton of time.
Thanks for the help I did mine in an hour and a half removing the 3 torx 27’s was critical to getting at the yellow latch. And I had two hidden screws behind the interior door latch handle that frustrated me right from the beginning but I saw that could be popped off and sure enough there were two reinforcing screws for the door handle and it lifted right out. 07 E 150.
Worked on my 2005 E450 motorhome. Thanks so much!
I have needed this video twice now to change out my speakers. Thank you
Just got my door panel off. Took me about 3 minutes since I didn’t read the video description, lol. Thanks for the tutorial!
I'm glad that comment about missing a screw was top comment. This works on my 2011 e350. Thank you. It would be helpful if there was a video showing how to remove the panel in front of the inside door handle for those of us who have never tried any DIY before. I dont know how hard it would be to add footage of that right at the point it should go, because I dont do videos either . I hope this wasnt rude to suggest. I have tried to find help with this before with no luck. Your video made the job only take minutes. Thanks again
Unfortunately when I was editing the footage to this I mistakenly deleted that portion. And once a video is posted you can't go back and add anything to it like that
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow Well thank you for the quick reply. Like I said, this video allowed me to get the panel off quickly. :-]
On my 2013 E250, the fourth screw is accessible once you take the door handle cover off. For those of you replacing your door lock actuator, first unbolt the window guide and pull it out. Then, unclip the rod from the top of the actuator and the remove the wiring harness from the bottom. Don't try to remove the existing actuator bracket. Instead, pull the actuator out of the bracket. You must remove the new bracket from the new part, so that gives you some practice.
Something he forgot to mention....
1.) Pry off the plastic shroud surrounding the door handle pull.
2.) Just above the handle there is a screw making a total of 4 screws to be removed.
Otherwise, great instruction. Thanks.
This helped a lot thank you!!
Thought I was couldn’t count for a few minutes haha.
Geez makes a lot more sense now .. freakin hell taking this off thinking there was only 3…. Turns out to be five on mine
Straight to the point. Thank you!
Thanks for posting the video! It was very helpful.
Thanks Great Video ! ! Please do more !
GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER !!!! EXCELLENT INSTRUCCIONS ...
You forgot to tell us about the fourth screw you didn't show us to take off the cover around the door opener and guess what there is the fourth screw I about ripped my door in half and then finally I said there's something that's got to be missing so I watched another CZcams video and they showed the proper way to do it
Bro awesome video, thank you
Works the same way on a 2012 E150. Thank You!!!!!
Great video, thank you!
Great explaining man. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. This worked for a 2011 Ford e-250.
Thank you!! Good video!!
Great video worked on my 2012 e-250 had to bash the bottom of the panel with a hammer to get it to move though. Built Ford tough haha and of course the clip took a trip to the bowels of the door 😁
Great to hear and thanks for dropping a comment!
good info for having clues b4 opening my 97 E350
Glad you found it useful. If you read in the description, I did forget to mention one screw
Yeah you totally missed a huge step. Popping that middle piece out. I had to figure that one out on my own but it would have been very helpful to have included that. Thanks for making this video though it was a huge help.
Yeah. It got lost in editing and I found out a little bit too late unfortunately you can't re-edit videos once they're up. I updated the the description a long while back
Thanks, mine is 2010 E250, works the same.
2002 extremely similar but two phillips screws to remove under the switch panel and interior door latch cover
Had difficulty getting the panel off, turns out I missed a screw, thanks for the helpful video!
Great video, to the point
Thanks man. Don't forget to check the description for updates. I forgot to mention a screw
2014 E350 SUPER DUTY , THANKS ALOT !!
No problem! Thanks for commenting your model year
I just bought a 2013 Ford E350 passenger van.It came with no power accessories. OK.
I find the driver door window crtank is about ankle level and can't be used while belted. It is almost necessary to crack the door to use it.
Are there any modifications to make it more accessible? drive ups will be nasty in January like this.
Any ideas?
Thanks !!!!video helped a-lot
No problem.thanks for your comment. Make sure to read the description. I forgot to mention one of the screws in the video
nice , that's what I need to know
Any ideas on how get the rear barn doors to close tight I've bit a play n water gets in
Just ordered Driver Side Handle and Rivit Gun. Thanks for the info.
Awesome man! Good luck with the repair. Let me know how you make out. If you read the description of the video you'll see that I did fail to mention that you have to pull off the plastic panel behind the interior handle. To access a Phillips screw behind it. Pay attention to how the old handle goes in before taking it out is the only other tip I have
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow You may want to add that in the video and reupload, because I was losing my mind trying to get the door panel off. I would rewatch that part looking for anything I could be missing, then I read your description and found that screw and once the screw was removed the panel was super easy to remove. And yes I may have broken one clip trying to get the panel off before I read your description. haha. Otherwise, great video! Thanks!
@@jsdnldsn yeah I'm sorry about that man! I wish CZcams made it easier to go back and edit the video or at least add a caption without removing the video. Honestly I probably won't ever take it down and re upload it. It's just too much work, and I'm already backed up with other videos and life things
@@jsdnldsn unless of course the video starts getting a lot of negative feedback. Then I'll probably just take it down. Trust me, throughout my over 200 videos there is tons of things I would love to add or change about them. And if it were easier to do without losing your views, I would do it. Regardless, I really appreciate your comment, and I'm glad the video helped out some
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow Totally understand! I was thinking there was a way to add a caption. No problem at all. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it definitely helped out!
Great help, 2012 e350, inside handle panel removal and a screw thru metal anchor.
Glad to hear it was helpful. Yes I updated the description after uploading the video. That clip somehow got lost when I was editing
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow not sure if I'll tackle the lock and handle, but getting confidence.
Lol
You got it man. Easy Once you tear into it
Thankfully I read the comments after about 10mins of fighting and being filled with rage. I knew I followed this correctly, even watched it 3 times. Oops, then reading the comments I saw someone said you missed a step. Thankfully I saw that before I decided to Hulk Smash my van door. Maybe you should add that step in the actual video, remove the screw behind the handle by popping off the cover around the door handle. Thanks 👍
I added it in the description. Can't add to a video once it's uploaded. And I don't have the vehicle in my possession anymore
Worked for 2012 e250
Thanks man, great video
No problem and thanks
If you haven't already done it, check out the description. Forgot to mention one of the screws
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow Did the job today, took me 5 mins after watching the video, thanks again.
@@AM_Mechanic great! Glad you found it helpful and appropriate the update.
The panel around the inner handle was there one second and gone the next as you removed the door panel. There was also a screw behind that panel above the handle that needed removing.😁
Yes, please refer to description
Yea he fucked up
There’s a 4th screw behind that handle panel smfh
Thank you perfect
Awesome video. Thanks I have a 2012 haven't pulled panel yet but looks just like mine. I need to swap out speakers. Thanks again. Do you have video on speaker replacement on same van type?
I don't have a video on speaker replacement however once you take the panel off I'm sure it's very easy to do. Make sure to read the description of this video. I failed to mention one screw you have to remove. Good luck and thanks for your comment
Thank u for the video just did one pass side mirror .2013# TECHLIFE🙏🙏🙏
Same for 2009 E350 Ford Van! Thanks
What’s the yellow piece called ? All the parts on my door work and what broke was that yellow piece !
Great informative video. I have a 2004 E350 and had no problem . Thanks
Awesome! Hopefully you found that one screw I forgot to mention. ;)
Can you help with a 2013 E250 window regulator?
For reference, I'm working on a 2011. And there's still another hidden screw behind the door handle cover. Just pop it out. Remove screw then u can lift up
Where can i get thr yellow piece. Thats whats broke on mine
I got 2008 Ford e250 I’m looking for some door panels for both doors
You missed a screw after showing 3 you removed with 4 screws on the table. I had a hell of a time removing mine until I figured it out.
yes. I updated the description right after uploading the video
Thanks god bless
The side and rear doors on my 1996 E-350 sound like this. Both handles are pulled open, wont go back to the rest position, and the doors won’t open from inside or outside. I’m looking forward to pulling the panels from the inside without opening the doors.
Have to replacement a power mirror on my driver side of an e150. Had no idea that just pops right off. Thought i would have to take the whole door panel off
Cool. Glad you found the video helpful. Make sure to check the description as I forgot to mention the Phillips screw under the bezel
We got it figured out on my 2010. But realized you skipped a step and a screw
Yes I updated the description with that. Somehow I lost that clip when I was editing
Worked with my 2013 E250 (with this comment).
Just replaced my mirror. This helped a ton!
Thanks 🙏
No prob. Thankkk you!
Yea, the one more behind the door handle panel is kind of a game changer but, its the same on a 2020 as well. Hope everyone elae figures that out so they dont ruin a door panel.
The initial problem is to get the door open once the handle is broken?
It’s 2022. Maybe it’s time to drop in an edit with the part where you ALSO need to pop out the panel around the inside door handle and remove the 4th screw behind it. I saw you had pointed to 4 screws, but only showed locations for 3, so I couldn’t quite figure out what I was missing. Had to watch another video before I realized there was an extra step.
(Yes, later I did see you added a note about it, but only after struggling with it about 20min)
Great quick video though, but I was dodging traffic on my street trying to get this done between cars. (Not ideal, but the only place I can do it.)
2010 is the same I got it to the step you didn't put in the video so thanks for the post script.
Thanks for the comment, yeah I wish they would allow us to go back and make minor modifications to videos without having to take them down.
What size is rivets??
Same for all 1990's E vans.
What about 4th screw behind door handle trim
No non sense hahaha. I like your style.
Thanks man! Yeah mostly No Nonsense with the occasional nonsense
Same For 2019 E-350 super duty
Cool man thanks for updating! You noticed I skipped filming the one bolt under that cover correct? The Phillips
Ok thanks
What years will front door panels swap on my 93. E SERIES
Not sure off hand
Same door 2000 but he having trouble with the side cargo door not the front the side cargo door double doors the first one you pull over it's jammed up where you can't get it open and got fluid from the inside to get it to pop open then figure out how to repair it
great video thank you for your time but mine is a 2009 but I believe it's the same door it looks exactly the same
No problem, good luck on the repair!

Wishing I had that 1/4" rivet game.
Maybe a stupid question but is it possible to do this without rivets?
I suppose you could use bolts. But I wouldn't recommend doing it that way. The new handle should come with rivets. So you just need to get a rivet gun or borrow one at AutoZone if they have it
Pretty much the same on my 2001 except I don't have power windows
I have a Ford 2004 E350 similar but little different
Hey you didn’t show the fourth screw that has to be removed after you take the panel around the door handle off
Yes i put that in the description. Ooops
2011 E350 is the same. Don’t forget to take one more screw out behind the door opener handle bezel.
How the heck did you get that little yellow clasp open to change it out? I can get it to open to remove the old handle. Tjx
It has a little tab that you have to release if I remember right . you got to get a good look at it and you'll see what I'm talking about. I haven't done one of these in a while oh, and I guess there's not really good way to explain how to do it via text.
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I get it. There is likely a clip opposite side the hinge, I just can't seem to get my fingers or a screwdriver back there to release it
@@MarkSaenz yeah it's definitely a little tight in there. Good luck on it!
Pretty much the same for my 08 e150
2009 e-350 thanks
Major step missed. push panel out word around the door handle to get the fourth screw
That 4th hidden screw is the dang key
yeaaa
You left out the screw that goes to the metal reinforced area of the panel and the part of how to reveal it. Why don’t you add something to the video to show all the people that need this video what you left out.
Yeah I lost that clip when editing. I added it to the description probably about a week after uploading. Unfortunately you can't add any captions or additions to a video once it's posted. That's why in a lot of my videos I always say to make sure and check the description for any updates
😂 had me there!! Thanks anyways
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow Cause he's a @#&* idiot. I dicked around for 10 min until I saw your comment.
Y in the hell wont n e one show how to take the door panel on the side door of these vans????????
Never had to take one off yet
Door panel removal is wrong. Doesn’t show the 4th screw behind the trim around the door handle. You need to pop out the trim around the handle and take out one more screw (it’s just above the handle and goes through a small metal flange that is attached to the door panel). Otherwise, the panel won’t “simply lift up and out” while it is still screwed to the door. You can see the trim panel is missing when he takes off the door.
If you read the description, I updated it when I listed the video. For some reason I lost that video clip. But thanks for pointing it out in the comments as well.
I have a 350 2010 but its not power windows. I have the phillips behind the handle behind the mirror and the one at the bottom. Do I have to take off the handle?
Or do I have to take off the window crank?
Yes you have to remove the crank handle. There is a little clip behind it usually you can use a rag or a small screwdriver to get it off and then it just pulls straight off. At least that's how most of them come off so don't quote me on that. Might want to Google it
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow thats how I always used to take them off. Should be all i need, thank you sir!
@@nickmartinez5644 no prob man!
i found out the 350 has a torx bolt behind the crank handle cover. No clips
2021 same
The is a hard to get phillips screw ,right behind the the inside door handle
yea. i lost that clip when editing. i updated the description
My van is a 1999 e 150

Close enough to 05 E450
3:48 e250 2010
Same for 1997
Thanks Eduardo
I've fixed side doors n license plate door ....my mechanic swapped it out for a $120 bucs .....i was.happy to pay
Nice. Not a bad price
You didn’t show how to replace yellow clip off push rod !! Duh
What is the name of that yellow part that is attached to the door rod you touched.. is it the door lock rod ? The one I have is broken
I'm not sure what it's called. But if you look up a parts website you should be able to find a blow up View and spot it on there. Or go to the dealership and look at their parts diagrams
2010 e350 works
How about the stupid window regulator in my 1989 crew cab GMC....I hate this thing, and it's kicking my ass...lol
Yea they are a pain in the butt!
Hey boss, you neglected to mention that you must remove the plastic trim piece that covers the inside door handle, there is !*&@ screw behind it that secures the silver metal plate to the door!!!!
Yes. I updated description about a week after I posted the video. Somehow that clip got lost while editing. There's like 10 other people that mentioned it in the comments below as well
there's another screw behind the handle on 2010 e350. its a pain
Yes I mentioned this in the description. I forgot to include that screw in the video.
2000 e150 helped
2003 E350
Thanks Bob
You forgot to mention about the handle panel and screw that need to come off. Door panel will not lift before doing. E350 2010.
Yes, I updated the description a while back. Somehow I cut that part out during editing
thx
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow my outside drivers door handle broke the connector that connects to the door lock. Drivers outside door handle to the steel rod that connects to the door lock. The connector broke where pops through the hole connector on the lock. It is plastic and threaded. Once I unscrewed the plastic piece , realized that it is snaped together the 2 halves of the plastic threads. Any idea if I can get just the plastic connector that snaps into the lock assembly? Thanks
@@manna5610 yeah you should be able to. Or can you like zip tie back together or anything?
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow a zip tie will not work. The connector needs to snap through the hole at a 90 degree angle. That way when the outside handle is pulled the vertical rod will pull the lock release down, attached horizontally on the lock assembly.
