I really like these videos you're putting up, if you weren't so far away Id jump down there, but no way am I flying with my baby, but I have a good buddy down there that could arm all 4 John Wick movies and the next 2 or 3 he has some beautiful firearms that would double as art work. Ill send him this video, he's not a huge long range but out there in Texas a lot of guys do it, and I know he has a couple beauties to choose from. Don't think he's too far away either
Episode 6 M82, Episode 7 EBR, and Episode 8 PSL
How does one go about trying to get lucky enough to make it out to your range? I have a browning x-bolt .300 win mag that I enjoy shooting long distance. Great content, keep it up!
Is there a place to sign up for this?
A Mosin at 1000 yards, shooting factory ammo, off a ammo box and a bag. You sir have hurt quite a few peoples feelings today. LOL
Lol..no shit! Loved seeing it.
The sounds that mosin was making was oddly satisfying
LMAO
Let us not forget, a $299 scope on it.
Okay, but it's the man behind the gun that makes the difference.
I have never rooted for a guy harder in a youtube than the Mosin guy
It is beyond badass that the Amos in shooter not only hit the target, but was grouping decently
I love my Mosin.... now to see if he hits it 😂
EDIT: The fact his name is literally Chad is fitting!
Mosin rifles are far better deal for long range than these dumbasses building $7000 on a rifle and $4000 on a scope.
Honestly, I thought he was going to be like 22 Man.
Proves that it’s not the gun, it’s the man behind the gun.
Absolute Chad with that Mosin! :O
seemed like a dork tho...
@@fluxcapacitor05 what why? lmao he seemed nice to me
@@fluxcapacitor05I think he was nervous
Hating on a dude with a cheap rifle that hit 1000 in 6 shots. Seems like you are the Chad
Take a hike, that guy was awesome
The chap with the mosin absolutely crushed it. Some fine shooting sir 🤜
Cheapest and most expensive rifles hit the plate 😅
Even had his optic mount on backwards LOL
I think with a few diy mods he could be consistently 7/10 on at 1000. The S&B ammo is extremely consistent, I have tested it extensively. A cheek riser to help with the repeatability on the optic, diy glass bedding, a timney trigger, and tuned barrel pressure pads.
Legendary Mosin Man proving once again the biggest variable in any weapon system, no matter how expensive, is the shooter. Well done!
Dude did it in six with an $80 rifle when there’s people with $25k rifles not even touching it. Gotta love it.
with factory ammo as well
Mosin Larry needs to make another appearance on the show with a K98 Mauser 😂
He just may lol.
Since first ch I've being waiting for some Mauser 98
I have a good shooting 6.5 X 55.
That mosin!!. I can't be the only one that thought. You would have a better chance of hitting a coke can at 720 with a 10/22 than a 1 MOA mosin at 1k. Awesome shooting. Watched enough 7K+ rifles on this show that can't connect and then to see a 100 yr old + rifle make it happen. Made my day
Bro the hand of stallin guiding them bullets
@@mortiarty7842Hand of Stalin? Reaching up from Hell?
Uh no. Mosins can be accurate at long range depending on the rifle. .22 is for within 200 meters.
It was amazing to watch, never thought he'd get it done. Nice GT reference lol
The mosin guy was an awesome middle finger to all these new builds… but the guy with the Accuracy International smacking that 0.5 MOA target? Amazing… I feel like that guy has history that we’d all love hearing.
And maybe some that we don't want to hear about 😬😂
The waterline on his ammo looked great. I bet he was the only one with single digit SD
Deon is your typical South African Boer and likely has a military background too.
@@francoisdavel1786 my guess would've been a little more North 😅
@@Hudiemike like where? Namibia maybe? 🤣
I came for the Mosin, stayed and cheered for the Mosin, and was gifted with a visual representation of awesomeness.
Exactly, same here.
Great series. No hype, no ads, no music, Just good riflemen.
no just stupid shooters spending way too much thinking that the more they spend, the better shot they'll be.
Stupid shooters? Seemed like a down to earth group I’d shoot with.
@@wizzle0979certified hater
@@squidwarddeep5064 I hate gear chasers. Nothing I love more than seeing them fail. PRS is the worst of the lot.
@@wizzle0979 bro is getting mad at people shooting metal lmao
Hats off to Mosin bro! And shout out to Deon Botes for getting it in 5 with a solid group and the subsequent half MOA, a fellow South African expat showing how it's done!
Thanks man. I wanted to take that gold coin, but I just could not do it on the day.
@deonbotes3518 You did real good! With more time behind that platform under similar conditions you are bound to get that cold bore shot most of the time. Here's hoping some of that Boer marksmanship spirit is with me when I'm competing in Finnish Brutality come the 19th of this month...
Brandon, thank you again for having me out to shoot in your challenge. Even though I did not connect within 10 shots I still had a blast. All the best!
Hey, I actually have a question for you about your setup. I have gotten a few chances to shoot the DD Delta 5 in the pro chassis and I was wondering if you had any of the same issues with bolt hangup I had (I had issues with the bolt hanging up at the rear of the action if you pulled the bolt back in any orientation other than straight to the rear, I sometimes exert a slight amount of pressure to the right side of the bolt). I was wondering if you had the same experience with the Delta 5 in the standard chassis?
@matthewconnair229 I’ve had my Daniel Defense Delta 5 for about 3 years now. I have never experienced any issues with the bolt hanging up on the Delta 5, where I’ve had that issues on other rifles. After shooting I place a light coat of oil on the 3 lugs. Maybe that is helping me not see that issue. Hope this helps. All the best!
Brandon, I had a blast. Thank you for having me around, it was a fantastic morning to spend with y'all.
Fantastic shooting on that follow up shot, congrats dude.
Beautiful AI and great shooting!
Nice shooting
@@user-ns3vs3bp3e Thanks man, much appreciated
@@clintcox5941 Thank you, much appreciated.
Mosin guy was a hero. 6th shot at 1k no spotter…fucking Legend. Dude dialed that scope by feel, didn’t even look at the numbers. LEGEND.
What makes it even more impressive, is that he did not use a ballistics app, Kestrel or anything that would aid him. He had no bubble level to check the cant on his rifle. The boy can shoot!
Boss HOG sac with 30 days juice!!
@@deonbotes3518 The boy can shoot, and so can you sir! You BOTH were very impressive! Fun seeing an older guy (probably around my age) with a new rifle, and a younger guy with a very OLD rifle getting it done.
And he used an ammo box with a bag lol and his hand
YES, the Mosin 91-30, I got mine years ago for a hundred bucks, great to see someone plinking steel at 1000 yards with it, that young guy was pretty steady on the Mosin, (and wow, NO hammer needed to open the bolt after 4 shots, LOL). Have an awesomeness day.
LOL I think spent like $85 with tax for mine. I had the scope. I probably paid more for the pic rail and the bits and stuff to tap it 🤣😂
@@visamedicwith a $400 scope among guys with $4K scopes.💪🏻
@@f308gtb1977 Yeah. I know. You know..yeah, I’d love to be able to fork out $5-10k without flinching, but even if I could, I honestly don’t know if I would. In fact I have more money in two of my air rifles than I do in either of my hunting rifles. Most of the powder burners I’ve owned were used. Pawnshop deals. I’ve owned over 315 guns since 1990. I can probably count on one hand how many have just been junk. I’ve had 3 Moisans, and I think 8 SKSs in different configurations, and for s#itty commie guns they were very reliable, and super accurate. I mean, Jesus, one Nordic guy kept the entire German army, or was it the Russians (that’s what you call irony) at bay, I think with iron sights. That says something for a gun designed in the 1890’s with no changes in design. I honestly have always believed that it is primarily the finger working the trigger more than the gun.
Some Joker shows up to a shooting competition with a wood stocked Mosin complete with barrel bands. Bangs steel at a 1K from a cold bore in 6 rounds. Oh an does he shootin off of an ammo box cause well who needs all that expensive crap. That shooter/rifle may have earned bronze but really deserves gold.
love this format of friendly competitive shooting
This made my day to see a 100+ year old gun shooting better than many modern guns 50 times more expensive. Well done young man!
massive respect to Mr. Mosin here 6th shot on. It is super impressive, glad to see him get it on target.
That dude with the mosin was mad impressive the mosin is by no means at all a precision rifle by today's standards
Because today's standard are shit. 😂
Best $800 I’ve spent! Brandon, Thank you again for giving me the chance!
$weet shooting!
If people knew that you did not have a cant level or that you did not use a ballistics app, they would be way more impressed. You are a great shot and it was great meeting you. I am now looking for a classic rifle to try on a challenge.
@@deonbotes3518Thanks Deon! You’re a great shooter as well and it was a pleasure to meet and talk to you. Thanks again for letting me shoot your .338 and the beef jerky and sausage are the best I’ve ever had!
Dude. You're a legend... Love the rifle, loved the performance... I too own an old Mosin in it's original stock that also happens to shoot moa with sellier & bellot 180gr SP! Swear, looking at your rifle, I want to try and build another one. Wish I could have a friendly competition with you.... Never sell her bro!
Fantastic shooting with that Mosin! My story is similar to yours, first rifle I ever owned when I was 18. Love plinking with irons with it. I checked out the scope mount you have on your set up and will look into it more! Thank you for coming out with the Mosin.
Extraordinary shooting with the 7.62× 54. Loved it!
Fantastic series. Just plain old fashioned rifle skills at the end of the day, ..... each time!
Great job all. God bless all here .
OK, love the guy with the old Mosin Nagant! Great, that hit hit it in only six shots. I really enjoyed this episode. As I always do, each of them. Thank you for the good fun and entertainment.
This was a great video! A wide range of rifles. I'm an MK12 guy ,but the Mosin stole the show. A 10x @ 1k wow ,that was really not bad. Congratulations to all.
This is the best "NO BS" shooting challenge on the interwebs. I love it, either you've got it to go, or you don't. No excuses. With our government today having two different sets of rules, one for the elites and the other for us serfs, it's nice to see that there is still something that is done right before your eyes with no excuses. Too bad our government can't seem to catch on to this simple, easy system... At any rate, Great Shooting! I look forward to the next "NO BS" Shoot!
I enjoyed hearing Dion's accent. I used to live in South Africa so it brings back some great memories. And he's a great shot! These videos are very interesting in the context of all the long range hunting stories I hear on the internet. People bragging about 800-1000 yard shots on deer or elk. This just goes to show you that even a really good shooter can miss the target by several feet on the first shot. It takes a lot of practice and really knowing your equipment to ethically shoot at an animal that far away.
Mosin Guy!! Let’s go!!!!! And he’s rockin a KalashBash shirt, love to see it🙌
that guy with the Mosin, absolute great guy he nailed it . Great series. No hype, no ads, no music, Just good riflemen..
a what used to be a $100 rifle and a $6,000 rifle were the victors today. Mosin man was killing it!!
Mosin Man is an American Treasure and must be cherished.
It's not just about distance, but the skill and gear involved in achieving that 1 MOA accuracy. Looking forward to seeing more of these episodes and getting inspired to improve my own long-range shooting skills.
I want to see a k98 next hahaha
Mosin Nagant guy: biggest proof that at the end of the day, it all comes down to the shooter behind the rifle. Great shooting!
The guy with the mosin...honest guy and he got it done. Respect button 🔘
Love this series!
Thanks for the support!
So proud of my brother with the mosin
The guy bringing a garbage rod to this challenge when most of the other rifles cost more than. Most people's cars absolute mad lad.
And getting close on the third shot and nailing it on the 6th. That's pretty impressive even with the modern glass.
Cheytac M200 punching air right now
Garbage Rod killed it.😂
that guy with the Mosin, absolute great guy he nailed it 🤟😎
I was pulling hard for everyone to hit but that Mosin was the underdog. Great shooting. Can't wait for next month.
Netjies Deon! Very proud of such a great South African showing everybody how its done!
To the Nagant driver. if we meet at a bar your money is no good. Outstanding shooting!
Well done Deon!!! Keeping the 🇿🇦 flying high! The Boer can shoot! Keep that in mind....
Mosin man is about to blow youtube up.
To the Mosin man.. Good shooting! to the Green shirt RPR the biggest thing with distance shooting is spotting your miss and then use your reticle to correct. That's why its there!
Mosin with factory ammo !!!!
That was great !!
The guy in your friend group that runs the mosin in shtf is either young and poor, a history buff, or the most badass guy youve ever seen.
haha, I dont think he's young and poor , I think he knows he's a badass marksmen and wanted to set a new stage for this show. Its getting old watching people come out with 5-15k custom rifles needing 10 shots thinking they are a badass when they really aren't . this is badass and Mosin Larry just proved this. I really think buddy just changed this entire show moving forward for the better. Its time to see some realistic rifles being used by better marksman instead of crazy expensive custom rifles being shot by mediocre shooters. People relate better to what's affordable , hence why everyone is cheering for Mosin Larry
Love you dude with the Mosin rocking third pin thread.
Awesome shooting all around! Loved that the Mosin guy tagged it...Loved that we had a left handed shooter and a DD Delta 5 (my current rifle...though I have the pro version). The AI guy hit that 1/2 MOA like a champ..and then came the .556 haha...You looked like a pro my man. LOVED that you came through and shot the 77gn and came so close (it wasn't just the small bullet...it was the 10x glass!!!) ...Great content. Keep it up!
Mosin gang
Fire episode. The mosin shooter, of course, absolute chad. But that South African dude with the AI, that was nasty. So dope.
Love this series but holy man, Mosin Larry, I was rooting for ya the most. Mine with iron sights, and my blind/shaky azz, is good at about the 150 yard mark. Great series!!
That kid with the Mosin can really shoot. Nice work.
The guy with the Mosin, holy shit....
Guy with the mosin impressed me. Well done sir 👏.
I have heard some people call the Mosin Nagant one minute of barn. Obviously, this rifle was and still is valid.
And the guy from Katy, a solid shooter and dead center on the .5 MOA steel, nice.
And kudos for Brandon.
OUTSTANDING!!! I too have a Mosin and has not let me down.❤
I am on vacation in Turkey right now and right after dinner this video will be my priority to watch. I love this content. Nice job. Greetings from 🇸🇰
Mosin for the milsurp win 😂
Mosin sales are about to skyrocket 😂
love seeing a mosin man
Mosin man Crushed it!
Deon! Hello all the way from South Africa 👋🏼 🇿🇦 Show them how it's done 💪
That connection on the 10in plate made a lot of the Mosin community stick their chests out pretty far. Great shooting my friend🫵🏽👍🏽👍🏽
When the Mosin beats the intervention.... some good shit !!!
The South African guy with the AI showed the value of experience. Of course, he has top tier gear, but he knew how to drive it.
I have tried an SPR Mk 12 Mod 0 clone (DD) quite a few times over the 500-800m and it's bloody hard (factory 69/77 gn ammo).
The lack of bullet splash is probably the biggest problem. That and the fact any wind will blow the bullet into the next zip code.
That’s incredible with the mosin
Especially with the bag so far back near the receiver
I have no authority here but I vote Mosin guy gets a gold coin
I was just checking last night to see if there was a new episode. I am so happy to see this upload. One of the best series on all of youtube in my opinion.
I definitely was cheering for the Mosin. He probably less money is his whole set up than most people have in their scope. Proving that the man behind the gun has a lot to do with it. We have seen many precision set ups that cost thousands of dollars not hit the steel. Well done sir.
What a great series! Randomly stumbled on this video. Can't wait to go back and watch the other 4 episodes.
I really enjoy this series, I look forward to it each month. Keep it coming.
I’m addicted to this series!! Love it! Great work, bud. Glad the Mosin got it. That’s epic asf😮
I literally cheered when the Mosin made that impact.
Hell yea!!! Was rootin’ so hard for the Mosin!!! I wanna see some more vintage rifles in there. Perhaps an Enfield and a 1903.
Off a bag, on top of an ammo case with an old rifle. I was on the edge of my seat until shot 6 when you smacked the target. What a guy, very well done. 👍
south african dude can probably come back with a fal and irons and make a hit
The only thing is the South African dude's eyesight is not what it used to be, but I would try that if it means I can come back.
Proud South African Here. Die man kan skiet. Give this man a bells🥃
The 1,000 yard challenge is awesome. I look forward to every episode. Great job.
Cheers to the Mosin guy! I got a Mosin as my first rifle at 18 too, and still have it. Great rifle, and under 100 bucks (at the time).
Way to go Larry!!! I'll have to look into that scope mount.
this man deserves the term "GigaChad"
I look forward to these episodes and it's always a great experience to watch!
This is such a great series! I can’t wait to see the changes u make to keep the series going!
Chad was easily the MVP of this episode. Love the Lethal Weapons shirt, too!
Love a humble saffa getting it done!!!
Mosin was my first rifle as well. 1927 with matching serials. absolutely love her. quite a stout and resolute ol gal. Good work out there Chad.
@TexasPlinking you’ve created an amazing series here. Absolutely love it.
Man I love this series
Still loving this series! I start watching for it to post as soon as the 1st of each month hits!
The first 3 shooters are a prime example of its the shooter and not the rifle theory. Good job to the guy with the mosin.
That DD rifle was insane! You could see the tight groups he was shooting after each adjustment. The rifle did what it was told, but you could tell it was capable of better!
Love the collection of guns and shooters for this month's installment!! Good shit, especially seeing the point of money not being the barrier of entry to long range shooting brought home, great to see cheaper and/or non-custom rifles in the mix.
The Mighty Mosin comes through again !
THE MOSIN!!!!!! so awesome lol
The Mosin is superb!!!!
Absolutely love the mosin guy!
i never been so happy watching seeing that mosin made impact at 1000yrds.. i literally jumped..
