Malik needs a Netflix special. Black dudes doing jokes on black culture is awesome but it’s rare to find a Muslim (if he is Muslim) doing Muslim and Arabic jokes. Golden and never seen before. This dude’s going to explode. He is very much needed at this moment in history.

A pidgin language is a grammatically simplified communication method. It usually develops when two or more groups have to develop a system of communication when a common language doesn't exist. It is common when communities come together for trade and they are not considered complete languages.
A pidgin language can then lead to creole language - A creole language, or simply creole, is a stable natural language that develops from the process of different languages simplifying and mixing into a new form, and then that form expanding and elaborating into a full-fledged language with native speakers, all within a fairly brief period of time.

Malik has a the thing that will lead him to be one of the greatest comics of our generation. There is just a clarity and resonance that is remarkable in his stand up and this podcast. I see it now! So Dope.

Great talk! It takes a strong character to openly question major elements of one's religion, especially the more high demand religions. And he seems to do this so casually, but I am sure that comes after a lot of internal struggle. Great fodder for comedy!

People seem to be discussing the chopstick reference in the comments here. I would add that when I want to know what something is really called I just go to Google translate. I would not just do a random search like the lady in the background did. That's how you pick up misinformation.
Apparently they are called Kuàizi (筷子) in Chinese, which seems to be pronounced Qui-zuh, where the qui part would be like in the word quiet.
For the history of things, there is probably a wikipedia page for it.

Listening to Pete misunderstand what a pidgin language is makes my skin crawl. Yes...we can still say chop chop. What are we afraid of? Offending someone who's trying their best to communicate in a different language? We can't offend them because they're amazing.

I haven't listen to this podcast since before I was following Christ. This is an interesting ep to drop in on.
I don't agree about the environment part though at 52:20. For those of us that follow Christ and are reborn, this statement that Pete makes is no longer true. After being reborn, you just follow Christ, you don't pay attention to the environment.
