No he fought him the way he has fought most of his fights. With the exception of Wilder Tyson Fury has always did that herky, jerky moving and boxing. Just in those other fights his opponents gassed then late in the fight fury would impose his size. He always had stamina for a guy of his size. He only ever realy fought like a big man in the 2nd and 3rd Wilder fights. Look how he fought Ngamou? He boxed and ended up getting caught.

When are people just going to accept Usyk is too good, and no tactical changes are going to be able to mitigate his ability? The AJ fights, which Furu says they were really close 50/50 fights. The Dubois fight where Fury says Dubois won with a KO to the body. It was like he was trying to convince himself that Usyk didn’t stand a chance. Usyk was completely outboxing him in the first three rounds, so Fury bluffed with the showboating, which his sycophantic fans will always, always fall for.

He started on gear 2, went back to gear 1 to make Fury think he could knock him out and gas himself out, then once Fury was exhausted on round 8 he went to gear 3 and never left him breathe anymore... He does that all the time, it's not like it was a big surprise but what is great about this gameplan is even if you know it you have to fall in it because when he's in this gear 1 mode he boxes your head enough to force you to box him in return to not get conussed or lose too many points. And once you're exhausted you can't do anything to avoid being punished, your fate is sealed.
The way I see Usyk win the first 3 rounds, then Fury won 4. Usyk reversed that in the 8th round to make 4-4. After that Usyk's superior work rate overwhelmed Fury and won the fight.
I think Tyson only did that cause he knew he need to do everything he could to convince the judges and fans he was in control because he knew he couldn’t keep up with Uysk
At the end of the day, the only person to blame is Tyson Fury himself. He decides who he should listen to and who to ignore. He's also a very seasoned fighter that could've decided to ignore both his trainer and father, and just go out on a destroy mission. I'm blown away that no one acknowledges how bad fury made usyk look. Other than getting caught, fury was turning him inside out. Where was usyks "technical boxing?" Where was his defense? Anyone can get caught. I think the issue is that everyone, myself included, expected an entirely different fight. For as much as one can ask "where was fury the boogie man", people should also be asking "what happened to Mr technical" and "where was Mr technicals defense?" Got clowned on. Halfway into the fight the commentary was "the size difference is really starting to show now, usyk is looking smaller and smaller" and he was looking smaller and smaller fighting an ON THE BACKFOOT fury! If fury didn't get caught, we'd all be talking about how primitive he made usyk look. Slow, plodding, and horrendous defense. Facts. People need to revisit how many times fury made him MISS. My son and i were laughing during parts of the fight. Consider this...minus rounds 7-9 what would you have scored it? Fury getting caught literally stained the entire fight for him. If usyk would have gotten rocked, and got back up wed be praising his bravery and heart against the bigger man. Its sad. Usyk rested in those rounds, it's his tactic he starts strong, then makes the opponent work hard n gas out, the from round 6 /7 he dominates again, fury did well, no doubt, but usyk could have pushed n won the early rounds if he thought he had no other option, but he would have tired himself out for the later ròunds
