I really like Evander. He's not one of these old timers that makes another man's glory about himself. He just shows the new generation the respect they earn.
Yeah so cool to see. He is really secure about his greatness and accomplishments. So he doesn't make everything about himself.
agree -
Holyfields my favourite legend.
Feel like someone has carl " i fought in front of 80000 in wembley" in mind with this comment. đ
@jamesburrell677 like Lennox you mean lol
Evander visiting Usyk before the fight was a great move.
When I heard that during the undercard, I knew who would win. I knew it would give him an unprecedented surge of motivation
Only two men to unify at cruiser then unify at heavyweight. Holyfield has to be one of Usykâs heroes. Iâm sure that pre-fight visit meant a lot to Usyk.
And nobody alive is more associated with the unified heavyweight title than Holyfield. This was the first unified championship heavyweight bout in 34 years that Holyfield didnât fight in đ in the 90s when they were trading the unified championship around, or breaking it when reunifying it, Holyfield was in every single one of those fights (other than Tyson-Douglas).
I watched evander all through the 1990âs, what an all time great he is. Really great guy too. Absolute LEGEND. đ„đ„

Usyk and Evander cut from the same cloth undisputed in two weight divisions. Evander was robbed of his gold medal
Holyfield wasnât undisputed HW. He lost to Lennox Lewis.

Wasn't Mayweather and Roy Jones Jnr robbed at the Olympics as well? Not certain on that but I think they were robbed

Evander = one of the greatest of all time
One of the greatest PED cheats.
He'd probably lose to fury and usyk both but he was super tough and a hard puncher. Interesting fight would be Sonny Liston vs Evander Holyfield
Name a better nickname than âThe Real Dealâ Evander Holyfield. Bonus points for rhyming
â @@OeraliusTarth idk man. Holyfieldâs resume is ridiculous, 90s Heavyweight division was stackedâŠhe fought and beat almost everyone.
Mike Tyson is probably rated higher than holyfield because it looked like holyfield took PEDS during their fights. I put Mike above Holyfield.
Usyk is a pressure fighter through and through. He has the ability to make his opponent go backwards without spending much energy. Canelo is similar.
I feel his biggest asset, apart from being an insane athlete, is his mind. He is just always calm. All the lead up to the fight. Nothing phases him. Even when he gets hurt in the ring, he doesnât panic. Still goes forward and pressures. Amazing accuracy and more power than he is given credit for.
One of the greats
That's why is nit easy to follow up to a good punch against him, he never loses composure.
He was hit hard, but dealt perfectly with that, Fury didn't have the rythm nor the breath to follow up his good strikes.
@@francescoporcari8597 good word. Composure. That sums Usyk up
Usyk lost the fight, but got it gifted to him because of the war.
Yes fantastic notice man. Boxing fans think Canelo is a pure counterpuncher, but heâs really a pressure fighter who counters. This is why he looks his worst when bigger guys push him back-- why he struggled with Munguia at spurts, GGG, and why he avoids Benavidez. Also fans really overlook that Lomachenko and Usyk are really just stylish pressure fighters. They donât fight like Mexicans, but they constantly counter off of the front foot, and apply mental variables that the opponents canât handle, and capitalize on their mistakes constantly. Usyk particular does it with a pawing lead hand that he throws over and under the opponent, so they donât see his punches coming-- Especially when he lines up his overhand left.
â@@Nonononono209go visit mental institution if you think Fury won... you can go with Tyson, he needs reality check also...guy still think its december... Usyk punched him in the pastđđđ

Finally a fair assessment of this fight
And no ears were harmed in the making of it.
Aye, all I've seen so far is Uysk fans saying he battered Fury. Must have been watching a different fight to me then. Because until that punch which cut Fury under his lef eye, Fury was in charge. He didn't win the fight as round 8 killed him, but if a rematch takes place, Fury, if he bins his corner and his lowlife family, just trains and doesn't have yes man around him, can win. Usyk showed he can take a huge punch though as Fury rocked him a couple of times.
йО ŃĐ»iпОĐč!
â@DudeSilad please can you point me to the round where Fury "rocked" Usyk? I've been watching a lot of videos of the fight online and haven't seen any. Was it when Fury did the sneaky upper cut? Or was it the sneaky body shots Fury got in sometimes? I just never found a video of Usyk actually getting "rocked"

Exactly! Fury was the first to make the adjustments, and indeed it looked like Usyk was losing for the first time but he did his adjustments too and almost ko'd fury. What a fight, thrilling to the very end, respect to both of them

Nice video but Holyfield did not explain why Fury lost, contrary to the headline.
i guess Usyk's adjustments were better than Fury's adjustments...lol
The broken nose I believe he was pointing to.
â@ebayguy38 I believe so. The second I watched the replay between the rounds I knew his breathing was affected and he got distracted and then hit clean in the 9th but did pull back and adjusted. Definitely want to see a rematch
Exactly what I was thinking. Completely unnecessary clickbait title. It was interesting to hear his views but he didn't explain why Fury lostâŠ. Or even how Usyk won.
Fury did not lost, Usyk defeated him simply because he was even better!
Evander was special, very special, what a boxing great and a good person with it - parallels with Oleksandr Usyk, massive respect to both đđđșđŠđșđž
The most precise words came from Johnny Nelson (at the end of interview): "Usyk has the boxing brain that is smarter than all of them", about other potentials. Usyk is lighter, he came from cruiser, so he has to be smarter, if he wants to win.
Lighter is an advantage.

Evander is the man. A genuinely good human being and he was an amazing boxer. He should get far more recognition and praise.
John Fury being back in Fury's camp made this all possible đđ
Hahaha
Quite possibly yes
John was the one telling him to use the uppercut that won him 5 rounds
@@pandabear1576 fury didn't win 5 rounds he won 456 that's it. John Fury was overtalking Sugar and Andy Lee. Tyson was confused lol.
I agree,John is a distraction at best, you have faith and take direction from your trainer, tge rest is confusion and noise.
Johns Theatrics and mentallity, before and during the fight, just detract from Tysins ability.
Tyson did his best in Vegas against Wilder(John cannot get a visa to the USA) and during Johns prison time.
He was not a World champion, nor is he a world champion trainer(based on Tommys performances)
First with Francis, and now this fight.
It is obvious,he lead to Ben Davison being dismissed, and a rift with Hughie Fury(a good trainer)
He is a good father, but wants to be Tyson, and does not fully understand the level.

beautitfull, i just happened to agreeâŠI concurâŠ
Tyson fury did not have the first 6 rounds, people need to stop saying this. Showboating does not win you points, all it shows is you ain't in control and your trying to convince everyone you are in control.
You summed it up perfectly mate !
I instantly lose respect for people who say Fury was in control up to the 7th. He was getting backed up and hit.
Usyk had at least two of the first three rounds. Possibly all three. He put plenty of body shots in on Fury during those early rounds, nothing damaging but points are points.
Fury 4-2 first half. Usyk 4-2 or 5-1 second half. Plus knock down. So 113-114 or 112-115 at a push.
I really thought the clean shots were from Usyk. Fury had a spell were he began to work those uppercuts and body shots, but watching it I thought a number of those were hitting pads and the commentators were making more of it
Respect from Ukraine! People champ and amazing human, thank you for supporting Usyk! ĐŃĐșŃŃĐŒĐŸ!
Evander sounds good for having taken so much punishment during his career. Good summary by him.

Evander is one tough tough man, gave Tyson a good hiding
Yeah but after Tyson had been in prison and lost interest in boxing he lost to Buster Douglas before prison because he didn't care and never managed to get his mojo back after prison the heavyweight division had moved on .
â@@michaeldooley5398Did Tyson Fury not care for this fight? Excuses, Holyfield won fair
@@FriendwithNoName7 Holyfield won fair but it was not vintage Mike Tyson when they fought, Fury tried but Usyk was better.
â@@michaeldooley5398 your comment is old news... Tyson had plenty of training going into both fights with Holyfield..
@@paulmarsh8974 If Tyson had kept going at people like he did before the Buster Douglas fight he would have K O Douglas and Ruddock easy but he stopped doing it ,the first loss on Mike Tyson career was his loss of desire , and after prison it was all down hill and that's that .
Yeh, the shock in Usyk's eyes when he got hurt, and then to come back on fire next round, wow. Meanwhile Tyson was just enjoying himself until the best light heavy in the world slotted him! What a fight.
Heâs such nice humble man.

Fury wasn't comfortably the first 3 rounds. He was playing to steal the rounds by popular opinion and it worked on a lot of people. He didn't outland or outbox uysk. But he show boated and people pay too much attention to that and not rheir fists.
Why do Brits go on about Fury winning the first 6 rounds.

Because he is a better fighter and a gentleman.
Just like as I predicted. Usyk actually really didnât need to do that much to beat Fury, he actually had much harder fights with Joshua. He fought a lot more on the back foot, and used a lot of unique methods of attack with AJ, whoâs probably Britainâs most underrated HW. Heâs basically Frank Bruno with a boxing brain.
Joshua isn't in the same league as Fury or Usyk. Wilder would beat him.
â@@joekavanagh7171 đ€Ą
Donât be silly, Usyk won 9-10 rounds in both Joshua fights. Who is underrating AJ? Basically everyone acknowledges heâs among the best of this era but clearly not its #1. Though he was promoted as such for several years
Fury will easily beat AJ
Lovely man
I agree.
This is what fans want to see across ALL sports.
The best competing against the best. Not ducking and dodging each other, trying to join each other's team, or trying to beat somebody past their prime, and act like you're the shit for it.
Tyson lost because he doesnât know when to keep his hands up. He also took off the last two rounds
His defence is a problem. Gets caught too easily
@@BrianPinas9 Yeah he believes in his head movement way too much. Thereâs no shame in keeping your hands up, and thereâs definitely no shame to keep them up when youâre hurt
Fury's reputation built on beating Wilder, a fighter who had never fought a top ten contender in his life b4. Windmills true level wascexposed by Joe Parker. Fury way, way overrated.
Both fighters put up a great fight .. .. Usyk fought harder, fought better, deserved the win and he won in brilliant fashion .. .. That shit leading up to the fight was a disgrace and if I were in Tyson Fury's position I would make a sincere apology .. .. It also seemed to be such a display of modern day, bright light, fuckin' celebrity arse junk and it wouldn't surprise me if it was all just staged for publicity .. ..That doesn't mean that Tyson Fury isn't a great fighter .. .. It's hardly as if he just lay down like a chump and took a beating .. .. He was standing at the final bell, it was close but clearly a Usyk win, that judge who favoured Fury was wrong but, the decision went to the right fighter .. .. .. .. But who the fuck are any of us, typing shit on here to say something like you just said about Tyson Fury .. .. Seriously, is that how you honestly view Tyson Fury, because if you are correct in your opinion, then what the fuck does that make the rest of us?
The fight was amazing

They're not remotely similar in anything but size, and being champs.
@@Jefe-qh8kd I dIsagree, they are not the biggest, both have hearts of a lion, they have strong punches but not k.o. artists, they are great counter punchers and make people pay for making mistakes, they are always in top shape and wear fighters down with their workrate. The only main difference is that Usyk is southpaw. They also became undisputed in Cruiser and Heavyweight.
Usyk ain't a dirty fighter

Usyk is perhaps the most underrated boxer in the modern era. Heâs technically & tactically sound ⊠incredibly hard to solve or defend against.
