I have to share my good luck this week. I went into my fave thrift store and they were rolling out a rack. I checked it out and found several pieces of Eileen Fisher and J. Jill Love Linen. Hoping for more I started checking the racks and ended up finding about 50 pieces of high end lagenlook clothing by Eileen Fisher, J. Jill, Sun Kim, Etro Italy, Flax and more. I spent about $250 for everything but have already sold several pieces which have nearly paid for the entire thing. I was so excited. No one I know understands how much fun it is to find treasures like these while thrifting. I think it must have been one woman's entire wardrobe because all the sizes were the same and they all had dry cleaning tags from the same store. Anyway, I am feeling quite chuffed by my finds. Had to share. Thanks for your wonderful videos. You keep me company while I am listing items.

Union tags were put on clothes until 1995 but you can usually look up the decades by the look of the tag.
That is a great tip. Yes, look up the tags on google and someone will have the tags by date for us. so helpful!

It is funny about location. I can’t go to a thrift without finding under 10 pieces of Peter Millar and vineyard vines lol. I pass them up so much because they are so common but vests and jackets I pick up in a heartbeat. I crave magnolia Pearl and more boho but have only found it once. Just found your channel and love.

Junk Gypsy is a moderate price answer to Magnolia Pearl. Btw, did you know Pottery Barn was sold? Them, Rejuvenation, West Elm were bought by Williams-Sonoma. Not sure what this will mean going forward. I dont think quality will suffer, WS is known for quality products, just wondering if they will think since they have West Elm they wont need PB furniture or maybe PB Teens & Kids will be discontinued. I guess we shall wait and see. Marla Wynne is from Marla Ginsburg who was a well known producer until the first writers strike in mid 2000's. Sold on HSN but also found at Macys & Nordtroms, possibly others. She has divisions within the line like Wynne Layers, Wynne Basics, etc. I think that top is an HSN one.She also has really cool jewelry and I think some bags. Oh, Soft Surroundings was bought out by Coldwater Creek in 23.

really good question. I was asking Petey about this recently. I love yard sales so much but the yard sales here are not great. they are overpriced junk. every once in awhile I hit a good one but its a lot of driving around for very little return. I will probably give it another shot this summer but I can't rely on them for good inventory

How do you prevent people from stealing from your cart?
Good question. In the old days, when my bins was ROUGH, I was very protective. I put a sheet over my cart. These days, It's pretty chill. It's weird at our bins bc the rule is the carts can't be on the floor. they have to be on the side, so I try to keep an eye on it.
