When you have a garage sale remember that an item is only worth what people are willing to pay for them, not a percentage of what you paid for them. However that does not mean you have to take low ball offers on quality items that are in good condition. A women told me she would give me a dollar for five shirts, I thought she just made a mistake as they were a dollar each so I just reiterated the price. She threw the shirts in my face and told me to F off so I countered her offer with a cold iced tea right back at her. I have never done anything like that in my life!

I price my stuff what I want for it. I told one guy I would rather take it and burn it to go cheaper!!! That sale was one like I’ve never seen. Some people want you to just give it to them. Putting a Yard Sale together, is a lot of work 😅 Another that gets under my skin, they want to low ball you and you say I can’t let it go at that price and then they say well if I pay that much I wouldn’t make very much to resell it. 🤬🤬🤬😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

I purchased a wallet at a garage sale & my daughter found someone’s social security card in it! On the back of the card, she’d written her husband’s SS number! The sale was advertised on Facebook Marketplace, so I messaged the woman on Messenger & she gave me her address so I could mail it back to her. Don’t ever keep your SS card in your wallet!

Maybe, take the purses out of the tub instead of digging through them. It would make it easier! If a mostly white shirt has a stain, put a little bleach on the spot and wash it, stain gone.

Kevin..I believe a couple of those bags just thrown in that plastic tub, we’re Marc Jacobs bags. They can be very expensive & are one of my medium priced fav bags. All leather & really pretty styles too! I would never thrown any of my good/better bags into a tub. I packed all my bags & put them in dust bags to store or to sell at a yard sale. Take care of costly bags!!! Geez!!!!

I have precious moments ptsd. My former boss started losing her mind to dementia and her and her husband liked to go to the auction on Friday nights. They would bring mostly junk back to try and sell in their retail store. I never understood why because most of it didn't fit their motif. One day I cam in and they had picked up some Hummels and precious moments over the weekend. I constantly thinking of ebay comped them all. They actually did well at least with the Hummels one was selling consistently at around $85 to $100 and they paid like $5 each. I thought i'll tell her it will make her happy she did so well. Well a few days later she just knew she had one that didn't exist. She had us tear down everything in a open retail store while in the busy season trying to find it. She also had a meeting with all of us insinuating one of us had to have stolen it. Long as comment short I won't mess with that stuff it reminds me of that shithole.

I wouldn't risk selling a Kate Spade on eBay, or some of those other purse brands in there. Way too much danger with VeRo, even if they are real (most designer purses floating around are fake) they can still VeRO you because they don't want people to resell them.

However one thing I splurge on is buying Kate Spade & Coach purses for a really good price on facebook market, mercari, & poshmark. You can get them for $20 and under used sometimes & people gift them to me. You act like they got a closet full of Gucci & Louis Vuitton 😂
Depends on a persons income vs the brand of shoes and purses!!! I’ve never seen a tax return posted at a garage sale with Gucci, Chanel or Birkin or Hermes, (shall I go on) for sale.
