      My P261 has a weird issue where it’ll just power up for have a second when I hit the switch and then just turn off. I’m hesitant to send it in for warranty repair because they’ll probably say it’s fine and then I’m stuck with paying the fee to send it in. $159 seems like a good deal to me right now anyway since it’s twice the torque.

    Upgraded from an older 18v kit. czcams.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.

RYOBI also stands behind their tools ... my FIRST 262 had an internal failure about a year on from purchase ... I sent it back, and they shipped me a BRAND NEW one to replace it. My old Dewalt has had it. I have quite a few Ryobi tools though so maybe I will buy one of these too since I already have batteries. Maybe the Direct Tools store at the outlet will get some factory 2nds in and I can get one there pretty cheap just to have it. I think this line looks more promising than those so called compact line that was announced before. I like what I am seeing with new impact wrenches, but they need to keep the prices more affordable. I think the whole purpose of Ryobi is like having a separate line from Milwaukee, so you don't have to pay premium for every tool you don't really use often.

      I think the new ryobi, might come close to matching the gen 1 mid torque. But it won’t out perform the second gen. Milwaukee is TTIs flagship. So they won’t let ryobi beat a fuel.

    • @kartboarder22g17
      @kartboarder22g17 Před 3 lety +1

      @@juanc5149 well of course not, I'm just wondering how much larger is it then the new mid-torque and what is the weight comparison? Cause honestly if you are in Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita, or another tool brand it almost makes sense to be in Ryobi too just because they offer some cheap little tools that are beneficial. Like glue gun, hand held inflator that works great when doing wood projects, etc. Plus this new Ryobi is only like $160 compared to the Milwaukee mid torque at $220.

    • @drjd2real
      @drjd2real Před 3 lety +1

      After actually using the Ryobi stuff I don't really care about the comparisons anymore. I'm not stupid. I know Milwaukee is better, but it is overkill for my needs. If Ryobi was cutting out or smoking I would have been moved on to another brand. They will keep on making them stronger because my new Ryobi are stronger than my older Ridgid.
