    I noticed some pretty strange things during my time playing The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild. So strange in fact that I made a video about it going over 30 things that don't make sense to me. Yes I am going to be applying real world logic to The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild.
    The list of secrets and weird glitches in Breath of the Wild continues to grow, such as bokoblins stealing your horse, eating your own paraglider and sheikah slate, and the Yiga Blademasters able to carry around the ancient flame. Launch Timing Update for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel. The Legend of Zelda series producer has an update to share about the launch timing of the sequel to The Legend of #Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Please take a look.

    My theory as to why the heat proof armor doesn’t work in the desert is that it has a internal cooling system to protect Link from the volcano, but it doesn’t work in the desert because sand gets in its gears

    Stamina when treading water or hanging to a cliff *is* consumed.
    It is consumed at the same rate it is restored.
    When just standing, your stamina meter goes up; but while treading water or staying still while hanging to a cliff wall, your stamina does *not* get restored. Thus, it must be decreasing at a rate equal to the increase.

    As a climber, i can verify that it takes a LOT of stamina to simply hold on. I'm no professional, but if you're cimbing at that angle, with hand and footholds made of natural rock that could break any moment, and is probably extremely hard to hold on to, you will not be able to hange there for an hour, and will DEFINITELY not be able to eat food on a plate. On an easier to climb surface, you might be able to reach into a small bag, grad an apple, and take a bite of it before continuing to climb, but that is about it.

    Also, If Link can store unlimited stuff in his 'inventory' then why can't he store the shikha slate there? It would make a lot of sense to do SOMETHING to hide it considering that it's the one thing the Yiga clan can use to Identify him.
    Is Bolson aware that Link's name doesn't end in "-son"?

      @@LinktheHylianChampion117 I was speaking more generally. The horses are great. So are the dogs, deer, bears, and other animals. The landscape is often pretty realistic as well...but that's where the realism ends. Everything else is just high quality fantasy animation. Which is fine. I wasn't at all bashing the game. I think it's the greatest game of all time in most ways, and it will always be one of my favorites...and I've been a huge fan of the franchise since the release of the first game. I'd never describe any of them as "realistic", tho...not in such a general sense. They aren't meant to be. There are realistic-looking aspects of them...that's it.

    Link can also literally hold an electrical weapon (such as the thunderblade) AND wear metallic armor and not get electrocuted?

  • @TimPetrone
    @TimPetrone Před 2 lety +6

    ok...so Hyrule has 5 separate "races", basically: the Hylians, like Link and Zelda; the Gerudo, who are similar to Hylians, and probably closely related...but are quite a bit bigger for some reason; the Zora; the Rito, who are apparently the result of an evolutionary split from the Zora; and the Gorons...each of which had a champion representing them in the fight against Ganon. For some reason, tho, after playing BotW a LOT, as well as being a dedicated fan since the first Zelda game was released (I'm old. Shut up.), it just now clicked in my head that there's actually another race: the Koroks. Why did they not get a champion to represent them? They're a sentient and intelligent species in Hyrule. They obviously have members of their species that are quite big. They clearly have various skills that are useful. I feel like there's an injustice happening here. I mean...you interact with them A LOT in BotW, as well as a few other games. So what's the story? Are they just too peaceful to fight?? Since their Lord and Savior the great Deku tree helps Link A LOT in order to defeat Ganon, and since the Koroks are the guardians of the greatest weapon in Hyrule, and offer to help Link carry as many weapons as possible...I don't think that's the case. They definitely support the war against Ganon and his monsters. They also possess abilities that could be useful in that war, and they don't seem to be cowardly at all. So what's the deal? Are they actually more involved than we think? Do they serve as spies or something?? Then there's the fact that the other races all seem to represent different areas within Hyrule. The Zora represent the waters; the Gerudo represent the desert; the Rito represent the skies and the mountains; and the Gorons represent the volcano (a.k.a. Death Mountain). The Hylians don't seem to be a "tribal" race like the others, and don't really represent anything specific...except maybe the kingdom itself. The Divine Beasts also represent the various elements of water; sky; desert; and volcano in Hyrule...but despite the many forests of all kinds, and the fact that these forests often play major roles in the story...the forests and trees aren't represented with a Divine Beast or a champion....despite that what is arguably the most powerful being in all of Hyrule aside from perhaps Ganon, IS A TREE. #justiceforkoroks

      @@Drakenwild I've never seen any Sheikah (or Yiga) with white hair and red eyes. Not saying there's never been one...only that I've never seen one. Their descendants certainly don't have those traits. Pretty sure the Sheikah are a clan of Hylians, and the Yiga were Sheikah that were corrupted, and started their own clan. Most Sheikah descendants do seem to have lighter-colored hair (not the case with the Yiga, as we can see from the travelers you encounter in BotW)...but that isn't enough of a unique trait to qualify them as a separate race or species (again...I originally used the word "race", when I should've said "species". The Zora, Rito, Gorons, Koroks, Gerudo, and Hylians are all separate species. We know the Rito evolved from the Zora, and I think it's obvious the Gerudo and the Hylians share common ancestry...but maybe ALL of the species share common ancestry if you go far enough back?? I suppose species-wise it is actually pretty hard to tell if they are supposed to be different than Hylians but they certainly are treated as a separate group, so I think they should be counted as such. As for Yiga, I think they are actually black haired, whatever hair color they have when disguised is probably just that, a disguise.

  • @DaringDramis
    @DaringDramis Před 2 lety +1

    Great video!
    Here's some of my thoughts:
    - Why is it absolutely necessary to stand next to a campfire to let some time pass? You should be able to wait anywhere and anytime you like, campfire or not.
    - It's been mentioned you can fool the Gerudo guards in your woman disguise even when you change clothes right in front of them. However, the same logic doesn't apply to night time bone enemies; if you dress yourself with the Radiant kit in front of them, they won't be stupid as Gerudos guards and will continue to attack you, and the same logic applies to Kilton's masks.
    - I don't understand why Kilton, who offers some rare and specialized items, also sells wooden mops, one of the crappiest weapons you can find for free everywhere.
    - Not only you can eat a meal while swimming and climbing, but you can also change all your clothes or toggle weapons and shields. You can even do all of that when the enemy is at one inch from smashing your face.
    - Special powers such as Revali's Gale recharge only when completely depleted. Why not starting recharging right away when you have used at least once?
    - You are able to carry so much of insanely bulky equipment and materials, but you can't carry a simple cooking pot; If you want to cook something, you have to move yourself and all your stuff to the next cooking pot sitting somewhere. Oddly enough, you can carry a soup ladle and the pot's lid with you, but you won't cook anything with that, but kick some ass.
    - Talking about carrying tons of objects, at some point, you can buy a house in Hateno village. Beside being the goal of a side quest, being used to restore all your hearts and have a steady cooking pot, the house could have been so much more useful as a warehouse. You can actually store three weapons, three bows and three shield on mounts provided by Bolson, but how about the shed behind the house? Nope!
    - Long time after you bought the house from Bolson in Hateno village, why he's still loitering on your property with Karson all day long? When you talk to him, he tells you he wants to find himself a wife to settle down with, and that you should do the same as well, because time waits for no one. Oh well... The only thing I see is that he's settled down in front of my house, dressed with pink pants with another man.
