Could you share some details on how the recovery went after the surgery? My mother had it 2 weeks ago, sometime the nausea is quite severe and is preventing her from being able to eat, ergo delaying the recovery. How’s it been for you guys?

      Good evening.
My mother has nausea only first couple of days and it turned out to be because of one of the painkillers that were applied through the intravenous drip. After that painkiller was removed my mom had no nausea anymore.

Thanks for the quick reply! I suppose it depends on the individual, hoping this nausea will go away as it’s quite a new side effect for her - it’s been said many times that hipec can cause nausea. Hoping for the best! Wishing you guys a further successful recovery!

What stage was your mother at and how is she doing now? We are considering this surgery for my mother who has stage 4 metastatic colon cancer.

If you are considering this surgery, please be aware that you must be off chemo for several weeks prior to it. If the surgery cannot be performed due to this, you delayed chemo for a surgery that couldn't be performed and could set yourself back. Please consider all risks with your doctor when discussing this treatment.

I was DX with ovarian cancer on Nov 1, 2023. It was my complete left side, intestines, colon etc. but not lungs stage 3. the plan was 3 rounds of chemo, see if lowered then do surgery and HIPEC. then 3 more rounds of chemo. My CA125 was 464, one round of chemo my next blood was CA125 89. After my second round of chemo my new blood CA125 was 9. Jan 17th was my new CT scan and it was all clear. Due to that I opt out of doing HIPEC .. i am doing the surgery but not HIPEC. For me I felt it was way too much trauma to my body and too much damage to good organs. They seem to forget about YOU and only focus on the cancer. Chemo was bad enough destroying good organs and blood. BUT, at the get go, when first DX with cancer I was also doing on my own ivermectin, fenbendazole and some high dose Vit C infusions. 20 to 25 grams. There is more to treatment than just chemo

These other complimentary treatments I wish to do as well but down here in New Zealand I'd be brought to the village square and stoned for even suggesting my own options, and also, we can't get those drugs here 😢

@@JohnsHopkinsMedicine Please reply to me!!! Chemo can save lives, but I have heard that patients have died 30 days after receiving it! Chemo can cause long term organ damage, while some argue that it causes cancers to return! Children's cancer treatment is the victim of its own success. With such conflicting information, what do I believe? Personally, I would not have the courage to receive chemo, especially HIPEC!!!

Isn’t this some type of para Tonio wash? It’s like where they apply chemo to the Adominal cavity in a washing type manner??? I think I’ve heard of this if it is. But my husband had pancreatic cancer and they said he wasn’t a candidate. Now I’m puzzled.
