- I have had the honour of caring for dogs, cats and ferrets as pets, and my first job upon leaving school was as a veterinary nurse! Here is what I have noticed about these three popular house pets and how they compare with each other. But which is best for you? I'd love to hear your thoughts in comments.

Ferrets are so stinkin adorableâ€
stinkin' and adorable.. both 100% accurate đđ„°đŸ
I grew up with a pet ferret called daisy. She was such a sweetheart
aww, daisy is a cute name đ„°đŸ
We have all three and I can say positively that FUZZ BUTTS do not steal blankets or pillows unlike kitties and puppies đ
đđđ Which is the best snuggle partner though? đ„°đŸ
Im thinking about getting a ferret, but idk if I would have enough room to play since they would have to stay in my room.
To be honest, as long as they have enough to do and are safe from escape or eating something silly, I would say ferrets are the perfect pet for limited space. You need to get 2 not one, as they will keep each other company. Get them a safe cage to sleep in (they sleep for around 18 hours a day!) and 3-4 hours of active play outside the cage daily, and they will be perfectly happy. Good luck!
@@FerretTubeTV ok ty
Definitely need two! A bonded pair is so special. I recommend finding your local rescue shelter and getting a bonded pair. Pet stores don't really do much for their "products " and only want money not what's best for the ferrets or even know their hierarchy/ family/ bonds. Their diet is probably the most important factor. Raw/freeze-dried is best or a high protein kibble (most ferret kibble is garbage! ). Good luck and I hope you find your pair
Thank you so much for adding this extra advice. I love the little community we're building đ„°đŸ
I love fettets đ„°đŸ

I've looked at many videos of ferrets in dig boxes. From your experience.. what would you say is a good material for the boxes when living indoors?
Oooh.. that is SUCH a good question. I think we need to run a poll as I only have experience with sand and packing peanuts. They can't really dig in packing peanuts but they do so love them. I think also variety is important to keep ferrets stimulated, so I am tempted to say switch it up from time to time. But I'll run a poll later and let's see what the majority think!
@@FerretTubeTV I unfortunately had a ferret who got impacted from eating the cornstarch peanuts. I have found that rice makes the best dig box materials or ping pong balls. I free range mine and they go outside to dig in the dirt. They also go everywhere with me and my 3-legged house goat
@FerretTubeTV As always.. thx you for your advice. I'm sure my bean-footed cuties can't wait for the results of the poll. Bless you.
that is really good information, thank you. And your life sounds awesome! đđ„°đŸ

I have a question : I have an uncle that had furret one time, and apparently they are VERY loud. Is this true ?
I wanna know beacause I would like to have one or two of these little and cute creatures
They are the opposite of loud đ In fact they famously have a very cute and quiet dooking sound. Watch the related video on this post if you want to hear it. Also, please do get 2 not 1 as it is much kinder to the ferrets đ„°
@@FerretTubeTV okay thank you :D
You're welcome.. I think your uncle is a trickster! đđ
@@FerretTubeTV or he just donât like furretâŠ
