I'm proud to say that I owned the final battle playset as a kid. That thing was flimsier than paper and basically impossible to play with, but it looked cool.
I did too, got it on my 6th birthday in 2009, apparently it was on clearance for like $20-$30. Unfortunately, I didn't get full enjoyment out of it because nobody helped me build it and I couldn't read the instructions.
The mold is near Identical to the standard Venom sculpt as well as the articulation. Something I noticed is that all the pictures of any SM3 Venom figure match this mold, from the capture web to the spinning attack to the jaw trap, all pictures use a mold with smooth legs. So it seems to me that every picture was taken with a fully painted prototype figure. The only outstanding thing is the head.
