I truly hope we get R, T, and RT variants in the next Mario Kart game, this combined with the regular and mirror versions of every track would make about 8 different ways to play every track
i mean sure its a lot more diverse but i feel like lots lf the versions from mobile are too overloaded, they should tone them down and integrate variants better in the future

And hopefully with these tracks they can bring back mission mode that uses them and can be like a introduction to the variants.
A Mario Kart with mission modes, like boss battles, an optional combo system for competitive play like in Tour, with the R and T variants and mirror mode as well for all tracks, battle mode with all the options as in Deluxe, would be the best MK yet.
I don't understand how this never became a thing in the MK8 DLC.
Perhaps they're saving the concept for the next game.
Maybe they could add the Wonder Flower in MK9 that turns the track into a T-version of it.

@@MarioandJulius I think Tour doesn’t even deserve to be counted as canon because of this freemium *sheet*. Plus, it’s too different from other mainline Mario Kart games because it adapted to mobile game standards.

The layouts of SNES Donut Plains 3T and N64 Royal Raceway T are exactly the same on Tour, with SNES Donut Plains 3T having slight modifications because the 8DX version allowed underwater driving unlike its Tour version.
I really really hope the next Mario Kart keeps Tour's Trick and specially the Reverse variants, they have so much potential
Yeah honestly, one of my least favorite aspects of MK8DX is just how many tracks have absolutely nothing to do on straightaways, or are pretty devoid of many of the game's mechanics. And when there ARE a lot of trick ramps, it's very inconsistent and jank like Mount Wario.
Donut plains and royal raceway have the same ramps as in tour

Damn, this makes us wish reverse and trick tracks were a thing in Mario Kart games other than Tour, given how much some of these change up their respective tracks. Here's hoping the next game includes them as alternate track options or something!

Trick and Reverse variants are awesome, I wonder if Mirror will become one instead of a CC class, then we could have MTR variants that felt like a completely different course
Ok, that rework on DK Jungle was genius!
Reverse variants would be great, but Trick variants wouldn't really work well with a normal Mario Kart game where the goal is to finish 1st, not get a high score. They work in Tour because of the automatic tricking system, but it would get annoying constantly having to do it manually in a console game.

Good but I'm out at all my Nintendo consoles but here's a problem my switch I have two of them one's a V2 one's an OLED I'd rather take the band on my V2 switch just so I could load up Homebrew but no you can't even Homebrew it without mod chips
Toad Harbor was the craziest one of the bunch. My favorites have to go to Dry Dry Desert and DK Jungle for their fun and creativy. Great Showcase!

I don't like the look of the large red ramps. It takes away of the natural aesthetic of the Mario Kart track look. I think it should be used as more of a optional route that is outside of the normal path

I guess my only criticism is that most of the changes are just adding metal ramps and platforms, and most of the time don’t even fit the aesthetic, especially on Shy Guy Falls and Dry Dry Desert
I love the idea of having track variants that use set pieces that dont get much use in their original tracks, if any. Having the road go through that arch in Dry Dry Desert is a really cool variation. Imagine having a Royal Raceway track variation that takes you to the castle

In the next Mario Kart there should be this type of alterations on the tracks and why not include that they can be played day, afternoon and night?
