For the young kids who are free for the metro, there is a side gate. You can ask the staff to let your kids go through the side gate. So you dont get "crushed" hehe :)
I suggest you do recce at other electronics shops first, for eg I know there was a camera shop in sungei wang plaza just opposite of low yat plaza, I think it was somewhere around ground floor or lower ground floor/basement. Maybe do another recce at one other shop. Take note of the prices, only then you go to low yat and if it's good enough for you at low yat then go ahead and make the purchase since you have already got reference points for comparison
take your kids to sunway lagoon theme park...they gonna love it...or you can visit the Kanching 7 tier waterfall for some nature experience and skin dipping..both not far from KL..

There is a big green park/garden in KL called Perdana botanical Garden🌿 If you want to go there by train, you can go to KL sentral, take a train called 'komuter' and then stop at Kuala Lumpur railway station, enjoy 👌
no need bro, can take MRT stop at Muzium Negara and there is an entrance behind the Museum directly to Perdana Botanical Garden. Also can walk from KL Sentral direct to Muzium Negara station. The entrance open 7am to 8PM.

You really compared KL to Bangkok, but in a good way. Haha. Please enjoy KL and you are always welcome to come again. If you take MRT, you will be able to go out from the city centre. It's bigger and faster.
u can carry ur kids when crossing the gate of metro ,or go through the side where there is a special gate ,any way i find it more fun to go ur way tho lol kids has more fun ,i am glad u all have fun in KL ,i been to italy france belgium then end in holand
When you talk about tripod and camera stuffs, I thought you were trying to go to Low Yat Plaza especially since you're already riding the monorail, in Low Yat there's a lot of different tech store in there, camera, pc, mobile phones, laptops .etc... It literally got every gadget store available...

It's so huge compare to Brussel in Belgium.
