    When MK 2 hit arcades we’re packed and everyone stood around it. I’d walk to the arcade with one dollar and stay for hours after spending it just to watch it in play. I’d go to the movies with my family and sneak out to go play it mid-movie. It’s my absolute favorite game of all time.

      @@evanhanley6437 Yes, I agree. I don't know what they were trying to go for with Mortal Kombat three But it just didn't work.The fatalities especially were weak. For example you could do a fatality and that person would explode and nine rib cages and arms and legs that looked like they were from a dummy would pop off. Not sure if they felt the pressure to sanitize the game from up above or what? I've never been able to find an answer for it. I also didn't like the inclusion of the run button. Number two is still the best in my opinion

    • @narkybark
      @narkybark Před 3 lety

      I feel like it must be either trying to sanitize, or they simply tried to add too much stuff with limited memory and it all suffered because of it. There did seem like a trend where they sanitized the series, but the most recent console versions (like 10 and the latest 11) have some serious gore in them. The combat engine is also greatly improved. They're a treat for oldschool MK fans.

I also played all of the arcade ROM revisions, growing up. Mortal Kombat 9 on PS3 is really good, too. Those 2 are my favorite entries in the series.
      Too bad the series got woke & went guest character crazy. I wanted more returning MK characters like Nitara. They even ruined Kano & Sonya..... so sad. Kabal seems pretty cool in MK11, so that's something.
