They're joking about their chemistry, but that really is a main reason why this series was so successful. The chemistry was freaking amazing! So real and heartfelt! I'm a 55 year old gay guy who LOVES this series because it's what I wish I had when I was that age, but of course never could in the 1980s. Back then we were hated and blamed for AIDS. This series is BEAUTIFUL and I love it!

I'm 65 and I love this. I had to go through a whole process because at first I was saddened that this was not possible for me 50 years ago. But now, somehow, I have allowed Charlie and Nick to be part of my past, in a way. I dont know, can't explain it...but it has healed me somehow. I still cannot stop watching....

I just would like to say that i believe Joe Locke is as beautiful as the moon. He shines differently from anyone else, he is quite literally someone to look up to. Especially as Charlie Spring he is able to glow against the dark realities that don’t get talked about in high school.

The show is absolutely amazing. The characters are rich and deep. It makes me feel good that the world is becoming a better place than it was in the 1980s, when I was their age. LGBTQ youth were so attacked back then. It was extremely difficult and very hidden. Nick and Charlie's relationship is heartwarming and makes sense. 💕

I definitely have a soft spot for Nick (as we all should), he's my favourite character, probably because I relate to him the most, BUT Charlie is just a walking cutiepie. He's really is a ray of sunshine. It's almost scary how much like their characters Kit and Joe seem sometimes.
