It’s sad that people gave Kit a hard time about his body image and it being one of the reasons he went to the gym. Just a few months ago he was harassed and accused of queer baiting on Twitter and was forced into coming out as bisexual because people wouldn’t respect his wishes or privacy. Finding out that he was body shamed for not being ripped before he was in Heartstopper just further shows how ignorant and crappy people still are. He deserves better than that. I’m just glad Kit is doing good now, and I’m glad that he’s more comfortable with his body image.

Actually, the most noteworthy part of this isn't the workout. It's hearing Kit speak casually for an extended period, rather than in an acting role or in "interview" mode. He comes off even more charming than before, if such a thing is possible.

One thing I noticed that people haven’t really pointed out is how kind and incredible this instructor is! He doesn’t push kick too far, but he constantly tries to motivate him to do better! And that’s crazy that he benchpress 110 after not doing it for a while! That’s really a crazy feat, give Kip Moore credit!
Kit has the most covetted natural baby face. Seeing him be the owner of this super body is just oddly intimidating. Also we can already tell, by the looks of his built in the first season of Heartstopper, you know he won the genetic pool with his built, beautiful face, and innate charm. + He has the personality of a golden retriever. Those people who say perfect humans don't exist clearly haven't seen Kit Connor.

Kit seems to have this natural sweetness and kindness to his personality. He hasn't allowed his growing fame to go to his head and appears to be a well-grounded person . And I binged watched both seasons of Heartstoppers and can see he's got an immense well if acting talent he has only just started tapping into. I could see him playing a variety of roles in the future from a prince charming type role to becoming a great action film stat to taking on more serious Oscar worthy roles. He's got a bright future ahead of him

I been only going to the gym for like 2 months now. Nothing crazy just basic shit but mostly it has had me feel so much better physically and mentally. Like I have really bad mental health and at one point heartstopper was the only thing keeping me alive, I know that sounds stupid but it's true. One thing bothered me about this. Kit said his legs are not bad and then the trainer mentioned shorts season (as in, you need to get them in better shape because everyone is going to see them). Nooo!! Do not project body insecurities onto him. It could make him and people watching feel self-conscious.
Kit has said he is influenceable. Of course he is. Most people are. In addition, he is young and feels the weight of people’s expectations, whether healthy or not.
But Kit doesn’t need to bulk up for anyone. Fans adore him as Nick - exactly the way he is - and the fact the cast looks like actual high schoolers. It’s refreshing and positive! I hope he has a healthy self image and is going to the gym for his mental health and not to satisfy some misguided “fans”. 💜

From the images I've seen, that character isn't as buff as many of the others, but still Joe will need a little extra heft than he has now. And, if you've read any of the articles on Kit's buffness yesterday or today that also suggest he is prepping for a young Marvel superhero role, Joe's potential character and Kit's potential character are lovers in the MCU! Kit Connor is quickly becoming my favorite actor!!! I feel happy to see him here, doing the best he can to keep moving forward with himself. It takes time, and it's worth the effort.
I started training as a capoeirista last summer, and I love the martial art by a lot. It's incredibly dynamic, and really teaches you how to use both your body and your social/language skills. So seeing this from my favorite actor is inspiring. I can see something similar that I'm going through myself in it. So thank you Kit. I appreciate you as an actor, a celebrity, and as a human being in general.

So many people keep shitting on Nathaniel for “click baiting” with the thumbnail. But you have to understand, Kit has expressed many times before that it makes him uncomfortable to be edited or “thirsted” over when he’s shirtless. He doesn’t like it. Kits not stupid guys, he knew what the reaction would be if he took his shirt off. He knew there would be edits and thirst traps all over the place. So Nathaniel probably did take that picture with him, they probably just did it as kind of a “after picture” type thing. They’re in the gym, guys. They don’t need to show off their abs and biceps. They don’t need to prove anything. Kit and Nathaniel literally had an entire conversation about unrealistic societal standards, expectations. Were you guys not listening? Fellow queer people who might also have had unpleasant experiences with school sport (and shitty peers) like i did, how did you fall in love with sport?
I feel like it's really time for me to try to get into exercise but i know how much I hate so many aspects of it and I am certain that without "reprogramming" them I'm destined to fail
So yeah any tips are greatly appreciated :)
Honestly, I found love for it when I was in groups where there wasn't competition. Joining running and gym groups that were supportive, rather than competitive helped eliminate a lot of the shitty experiences I had growing up as a queer kid
Tbh I started to just do "sporty" activities that I already loved like hiking and dancing. I used that to creat a routine and my body started getting used to physical activity. After that I just moved to a gym that had a couple other queer people attending, friends, so it was an easier transition. I've been enjoying it so far, I celebrate every little progress my body makes :)
Ps. Also agree with the "groups without competition" comment. I realized I got triggered by group sports, so I just avoid them and try other sports
I used to do dancing when I was younger and I'm naturally active, I started going to this boxing gym a couple years ago because I heard about it by a cousin, I went and loved it. There no one really is judgmental, they just want to help me do the technique correctly and to help me grow. If you don't like school/team sports I would highly recommend sports like snowboarding, skiing, climbing, mountain biking, hiking, boxing even. Those sports are individually lead mostly, and will help you gain confidence. I can say that boxing and snowboarding has helped my confidence, my psychical health, and even can connect you with other people. the climbing gym by my place has queer climbing nights and the people working there is mostly part of the LGBT community.
There's queer sports groups in a lot of bigger cities, soccer clubs, climbing groups, they're out there and they're safe spaces from what I understand! 😊
