I'd go to the dyno with it first, then turbo the current engine(if it would be reliable enough not to blow up or sth)and then consider looking for a k24a2, if still needs more power. Also these sleeper wheels fit well with that insight. :)

I think I have to make a video on my K swap insight.. those wheels are killer I like it and may have to find me a pair.. i beleive it's the same wheel as the honda civic hybird in the states.
Also don't know how low in power it feels but it may be a result of the intake and exhaust. If it is the stock insight pipe diameter, then the engine is being choked off that way. Also there is no velocity on the intake side with the filter mated basically to the intake manifold. Cold air intake from hibyrd industries is my recommendation.
LSD transmission is also a game changer as you will experience better acceleration and control.

I started adding up the cost to what I wanted to do to it. I had a built LSD trans with custom gearing and a k24 to build. With the amount of money I was going to dump into it, I decided to sell it. Could do a ground up EG hatch build for the same price and be more stable on high speeds. not as cool but way safer. I did enjoy this Insight though!
