- Apex Legends New Solo Update Is Changing Ranked Forever as Anyone climbing the ladder in Ranked will be pleased to know there will be a staggered start to Upheaval but the base will remain at 20. You will have some value based on how you performed in the previous season, for example if you graduated out of Rookie then you'll instantly start the season as a Bronze. Also, for performing well in Ranked you will be able to get a static or animated badge once you reach the final tier of a rank.

I'm a Gold/silver player with around a 0.6 KD and 1k kills and am getting put into solos lobby's with triple Preds and 30k kill players. Solos matchmaking sucks

@@ozitona7704nah i agree it was there to stop rats. But it also lets people know someones around and just hide. Plus it makes me panic sometimes and over think a fight. Or gives a false sense of security because it goes off you know someones there. But it doesnt say how many so you think you have a solid 1v1 but get thirded

Solo is pretty fun but they need to fix the MMR within solos because there is no way I should be going against 100k+ kills people
It’s not ranked, it’s random matchmaking so it makes sense

I've noticed that since solo's all the preds and sweats are playing it, so my trio-pub games have been popping off!!!
Solos has shown me that drastic amount of ppl using strike packs. It's really bad.
Comments have shown me that the overwhelming majority of players suck. Keep blaming accessories for your lack of skill.

Preds love the solos matchmaking because they can roll the lobby and the rest of us hate it because we cant even crack their shield before we die. Oh or we're having an honest 1v1 and 5 people shoot us because why not.
Can't wait to see teaming players occupy all the preds spots in solos. No anti-cheats, no matchmaking rules, level1 and preds in the same lobby, 1v? against blatant cheaters every game. I'm already disgusted by this season

Requeuing is great, I just wish I could remember it was there xD. I'm so used to there not being a requeue option that I keep exiting back to the lobby and facepalming when I realize. But yeah, matchmaking's silly
I’m upset that usually grind to Gold every season and then grind pubs. But this season, because progress was reset and I had faith in Reapawn fixing this issue, I got stuck with a Silver badge somehow. Respawn is frustrating.

Octanes dive trail is SOOOO bugged. When you land the trail stays on the screen and you can’t see through it for like 10 seconds. It’s gotten me killed so many times I had to take it off
It’s 5 seconds but ok
That sky dive trail is literally pay to lose, you can tell in the preview of it, that you can’t see anything behind the sharks

I keep getting to 3rd in solos and end up finding out the last 2 are teaming. It's driving me nuts
4:03 no pubs matching is trash right now it’s super sweaty I’ve had a much much more enjoyable experience playing ranked than pubs so far this season

Saying only six weeks like that isn't half the season is insane. I think it's a good game mode but the pots been soured for me personally because I liked playing duos with my friend and we've essentially been barred from playing how i want
Thank you for still mentioning the lack of dive trails for the initial heirloom skins in the game. It's been so long I honestly think the devs may have just forgotten about them. Constant reminders about those dive trails are needed until players receive them.

I know it's not a priority but it really is annoying that newer legends are getting prestige skins before the older ones. Its not a big deal i just feel like they should go in order in which characters were put into the game. Instead of giving characters reskins.
With how long the game's been out now, anyone past season 14 isn't old. Plus the only "new" character in terms of release that got a prestige skin was Valk back in July 2023, and she dropped in season 9.
To refresh your memory on who has a prestige skin:
- Bloodhound, Caustic, Bang, Rev, Loba, Valk and now Octane. That's 7 skins for legends that have been in the game for years by this point.

The Matchmaking is still such a huge problem. Beginning of the season is so worse in my experience. Playing against many Pred and Masters or players on a low level with vanilla skins, but they got 20 Bomb Badges and stuff. When they got SBMM and MMR why is it so bad? When you got stuff like that it should at least work, if not...remove it entirely. Making it hard to love the game. Not starting to talk about the cheaters...the core Apex Game is so good. These things are ruining it.
I grinded to diamond first half of split and didnt even touch second split to just end up getting gold badge. I was so confused. I felt gaslighted cause i swore it was never like that, but makes sunse now
I haven't really got the time to try solos yet, but I wouldn't be suprised to see broken matchmaking. Trios still has awful matchmaking sometimes. Hopefully it will improve
They need to change the team perks to make them solo perks eg wattson's extra health on res

Pure greed will never let them, maybe if they fuck up bad enough we might get a crafting metrial 1/2 for a single normal event, but even normal events are already getting phazed out for gotcha gamble mechanics, discounts are the very last thing on EA's mind set

@@sssspiderNot even close. The amount of casuals that’ll spend $10 here and there on skins is insane. Hence why Fortnite and warzone did so well in their early days. Apex is the only game where EA is constantly trying to up prices because they’re desperate for sales. If they would cut prices and be realistic in the fact that at the end of the day. Skins are nothing more than pixels that doesn’t affect gameplay. They would see a sharp spike in profit margins. I’ve ran countless diagnostics and know this for a fact. I’m part of the reason Fortnite’s shop does so well as I helped create the free live service game/ pay for cosmetics concept. They’re such fools 🤦♂️
I would love to see solos stay permanently but not at the expense of duos. I think they need to have solos, duos, and trios as options permanently

Solos is great. Teaming in solos needs to result in an instant perma ban. Give us a teaming report option. Respawns should not work after round 2. Ranked solos should have zero respawns atleast after round 1.

I gave up on it too, I just keep dieing over and over to every last enemy I run in to, the matchmaking is horrible af. In pubs I can get like 2 - 3 kills a game, solos I'm lucky to get even one at all, it's garbage

solos existence has made my friend and i suffer in trios no fill. we only played duos and as much as i love the addition of solos. I would like to also have duos back.
My solos are the same… Bots then all the sudden I get mopped up by a crazy pred or a sweaty 20 bomb 4K dropper.
Tbh i don't think there is sbmm in solos atm:D All of my lobbies so far, are really bad mixed with really good and average.

Yup had same problem in season 2 when we had solos, made it unplayable in the end and resulted in alot of negative feedback and that's why we didn't get it back so long.Then those same teamers crying why they don't get solos back while they keep ruining everything.

There’s no sbmm in solos that’s the point of pubs matches. It matches you with anyone playing on your servers.

Solos - Don't care won't play it either way. I never have, never will. Ranked - concerned about their idea of cutting ranked out briefly for some other que. I don't know what this alt game mode gimmick is but I am concerned about it replacing ranked. I had an extreme dislike for three strikes so if their idea is three strikes ranked I am legit done with this game if thats where we are going.
Because of the rank reset I was put against diamond and masters players of previous seasons in gold IV lobbies, so in the second split I was very lucky to get to gold I. The rank reset seems to mess it all up so that some players of higher ranks get stuck lower while still facing players of similar skill. There's no such trend in the ranked distribution of previous seasons...
They removed the requeue option for ranked now ;(

I don't mind silos, but I'm dissapointed they removed duos for it at the moment. I can't always get 2 mates on at the same time, so we rely on playing duos rather than dealing with a random 3rd. I want duos back.
This season is pretty dope
They need to just toss out their sbmm system because it's absolute trash. I get paired up with barely functioning potatoes and I'm being matched against a 3 stack pred.
Love alter and solos so fare but sure could work on the matchmaking.
I know Apex gave people what they wanted with Solos, but it feels like it’s stolen the soul of what Apex was. It’s hard to say, “We’ll never do something” and then do it. It shows there’s nothing they won’t do. We can’t play in a game where they’re just reacting instead of planning.
On another note, Alter literally has three Ultimates from other Legends, why is no one talking about it? All we see is how good she is. Sure she’s good, she’s running with 3 Ultimates.

I hopped onto solos for the first time on day 3 of the new season only to get rolled by cheaters farming badges for the new Alter legend. “Easy anti-cheat” because it lets you cheat easily ☠️

Matchmaking in solos is a total joke. I have a .90 kd and I’m getting nothing but top 500 preds just one clipping me everytime. I understand I need to just get better but come on now. Not a fun mode for average players.
