- I don't like the path apex is taking. Seems very monitized now with this season like Garret said. Interesting to see if they will add more to this season.

The reason they did that is so that the people that spent $350 on the Katar didn’t waste they money
this whole issue would change if they just put exotic shards into apex packs...
Supposedly they can drop in apex packs . Not a clue how many you’d get in a stack or if it would be the entire pack itself but I haven’t seen anyone open shards yet.
@@procarson yeah I opened 100 packs, just to see if it was true that they would drop in packs. but I didn't get any. so I'm guessing it's like heirlooms where it's a chance of dropping or you need to open a certain amount. and I didn't get any shards

@@procarson it does, even if it was the same chance of getting a purple in a pack it would be so much better for an idea and even business model for ea. idk this whole thing was launched wrong and I hope they learn from it
@nosam2474 with the little positive feedback they’ve seen this will continue more than likely. Like you said hopefully they make improvements to unlocking shards in packs and give us events to get them but right now it is not looking good.
The $160 pk skin Respawn drop few seasons ago is reason that people are fine with $40 R 99 and Flatline skin kinda like "we seen worse price for skin on Apex" if that $160 pk didn't happen more people would be piss about $40 price
This actually makes a lot of sense. They were absolutely out of pocket for $160 PK skin so seeing $40 price tag is way more enticing for players. If only they didn’t let greed take over their decisions I wonder what apex would be like…
The £40 I would pay that all in one go but seasons battlepass 1 to 4 as I missed out on those seasons!
I feel like that was the goal with these recolors though. For everyone who looks back at what they missed wanting one of their own cool reactive skins. Like I said they are dope skins and on paper $40 isn’t an awful price but it just isn’t for me. Anyone who buys it I respect their decision🫡
over time all good skins will end up exotic shards for 40 or 50 dollars instead of 20 and also the katar now has reskins for 10 dollars while wraiths and octanes heirloom recolors are still gonna cost 300 to 500$ why?/ why not, not to mention the fact that they now press recolored 10 or 20 dollar max level battlepass skins for 160 and now 40$ just because they changed the colors? THEY NEVER SHOULD HAVE EVEN BEEN BACK????
They saw the money they could make and went for it. That’s the only reason they make any decisions now a days is money based. What is going to maximize profits? I really think that’s why the exotic shop/shards became a thing to make it easier for the entire community to buy something they want. For some people, it’s an outrageous price, for others it’s not a problem at all and they are happy it’s only around $40. Once EA sees how much they make off this and the positive feedback from half the community over cosmetics of all things this will get a lot worse in the future.

Appreciate it! Anyone’s take on cosmetics is fine. Either you’re okay with them or not but either is fine. No matter how expensive things get people will buy things if they want it back enough. Absolutely no problem with anyone buying stuff just wanna make sure people see both sides!

I just wanna know where all the money from these skins is going… still on 20 tick servers. Buggiest state in the games history. EA laid off a minority of its employees, so they ain’t paying as many salaries. But the game is still in a questionable state… i just don’t get why they felt this was a good move for this season… a new currency? After all the community feedback about the state of the game last season? Shit is just wild to me
Could not agree more. I had actually talked about that a little but cut it out because I would have drawn on the video a lot longer than I had planned. That’s why I don’t think it’s a god change we got a new currency and more ways to spend money easier. Like you said, where is it going? What is it funding? They keep making ways to get more money but fire the people who test the develop the game??? Doesn’t make any sense.
