@VikingAirgunner you are very welcome Peter 🙏
He he. I've started grabbing for my specs now even if I think I can see what's going on. Sucks gettin' old. Thanx 4 the video👍
Thanx mate and have a nice weekend 😎
I really really hope you get a shed load of new subscriber's my friend..
That was so amazing muzzle v
I have one of these and used it on my high power airguns and it works a treat . I also tried it in my Rimfire and the result was amazing . Made a big difference. I have a new Airgun coming soon and I am looking forward to trying it on that . Have you tried the barrel tuner , now that works brilliantly on all my guns . Very much worth a look my friend. 👍👍
It is really a great piece of equipment👍👍👍 As with many other add-on's it usually takes some time to get it tuned in for the best accuracy, so with one being so accurate from the beginning, it sets a solid pace for the future 😎
I actually have the barrel tuner and I will be testing it in a very near future 😜
I do have experience with barrel tuners but this one stands out with the markings and that it is extremely well manufactured 😎 Im really looking forward to testing it!!
Nice Video ! Greetings from Germany !
Thanks Charly 🙂
I will have to see some more after dialing, this quick and dirty was not very impressive.
My outing last weekend, my Maverick was not at all having the cold weather, so i had to dial again and seemingly it was better at +100 FPS over the previous good setting around 960.
Stepped back to 860 FPS and worked my way up, going thru 800 13 gr zans in the process.
Mind you it was still bad and i had to chase POI around clicking on scope so for sure not good tune.
I will try the regular barrel on next outing if it is that cold again CUZ i remember it working better in the cold than the heavy liner did last weekend.
I did not see that much vapor last weekend, but maybe its a matter of moisture in the air, it is more wet now than a week ago.
BTW i found out my old Finnish made moderator, it is actually a powder burner moderator it will even work with .17 HMR
I see no difference using the old moderator or the new Huma one, so the HUMA are permanently installed on the Vulcan 3
I was under the impression that you won’t have excess air affecting your pellets if you have set up your gun correctly. That is the beauty of the fx m3.
How to explain this.. When using the front valve adjuster in the tuning proces you can decide when the valve closes. If you reduce the velocity just a little the valve will not release air after the slug has left the barrel, but there will still be compressed air behind the slug. This is the air the muzzle brake is redirecting.
THANKS FOR SHARING SIR THIS ITEM IS DEFINITELY INTERESTING. I'VE JUST ORDED MYSELF THE DONY FAT BOY WITH THE EXTRA MUSSEL BREAK. HOPEFULLY BEST OF BOTH WORLD'S AS DOSE 2 JOBS. TAKE CARE EVERYONE HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ✌🏼🤩
I don’t fully understand the adapter part, does you put the matching adapter thread on your barrel and it turns it into. 1/2 unf?
On your barrel there is a threaded insert. On your FX Impact/Panthera and more it is a 1/2 UNF.
You can choose an adapter on the muzzle brake that fitts this. If the threads on your barrel is a different size you can choose one of the mentioned thread sizes that I mentioned in the video.
This means that you can use the muzzle brake on many different airguns 🙂
Great stuff! Ordered the Donny FL MB. testing it shortly!
I heard good things about that one 😎👍
One more Peter. I could buy a "Barrel kit fx impact tensioned 700mm" and hope this is right. But dud you change the pellet prob also? Sorry for asking in this chanel. 😢
You are more than welcome to ask. Others will get the info aswell 👍
Yes that is the right kit🙂
Note that the new M3's has the front support pre-installed☝️You can get the kit both with and without it 🤓
Maverick vs impact which is easy to tune and easy to do some minor repaires be a new shooter?
I cant help you with any of your questions, since I dont have a Maverick, but luckily there are lots of videos on how to both tune and repair both guns.
I used videos from FX Airguns and Airbuks the first time I took the Impact apart wich made it very easy.
I have made 2 tuning videos for the Impact and if you follow them it is very simple.
So if you are considering to buy - Impact all the way 😎
What is a good grouping speed if you use a 700mm liner?
Im very happy with the result 🙂
Im using the 700 mm heavy liner and it has made my average group size much better!
Hej Peter.
Rolf
Hey Rolf🙂
Im giving you the answer in english for more people to join you conversation - I hope that it is ok for you🙂
Im using a 700 mm heavy liner and I can really recommend it 🤗
Most of the time I am using the barrel tensioner system. Here I get the best results - eventhough it is kind of loud if Im not using the right moderator.
The normal shroud is actually mounted right now, so it is absolutely useable also.
Good luck with the MZB-45 😎
And do share your experiences in the group FX 177 Owners 🙂
Hi Peter and thanks for the answer. I will try the barrel and see how it works and be back. Have i nice evening and goog luck with the CZcams
❤ ❤❤
Have a nice
Why is there smoke coming out ??? Is that the effect of the muzzle break stopping the air ?? Thanks
Yes exactly 🙂
@@VikingAirgunnersweet looks cool I like it , thanks for the fast reply mate
@@VikingAirgunnerwhat power are you running and Reg pressure mate ? Thanks a lot
@@ptescreen18 Im around 114 bar with the 700 mm liner
What were the groups without?
Some days the same and some days better. But with some testing around the velocity I would imagine the groups to tighten up 🙂
I am a little confused as to the design of this particular muzzle brake....
It only gets sized down to the correct caliber at the very end of the muzzle brake?? Most muzzle brakes have 2, 3 or 4 PORTS and EACH of them have a correct caliber sized hole that the slug needs to pass thru.....as it passes thru each port the air is pushed out of the port (2, 3 or 4 times) removing the air from behind the slug.
But this seems to have a .30 caliber opening throughout the entire brake and only the very end of the brake does the hole come down to size finally stripping away the air? So it is allowing more air to stay behind the slug until the veryyyy end.
I would guess that this design makes this brake less effective than most other brakes on the market.
This is the only muzzle brake that I have tested so I cant really compare the results, but your explanaition makes sense. Perhaps the manufacturer is reading in on the comments to take notice for a later model/version 🙂
Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
@@VikingAirgunner But I am also sure the Eagle Vision did testing and would not release a useless product (at least I would hope not lol) I have their scope rings which I love and they work great so I am a fan of EV.
TO ME.....this design seems to be more of a "ONE SIZE fits all solution" rather than it being highly effective but serving only one caliber.
If you look at firearms muzzle brakes the most important thing is being caliber specific.
6mm caliber uses a different muzzle brake than a 6.5mm would use. So if .5mm makes that much difference I would think 3mm difference (.177 to .30) would be substantial. But hey if it works it works lol
Would this fit BSA r10😅
I am not familar with that gun but check the threads 🙂
Basically its for looks because the moderator does the same, as well as sound muffling.
Since this is my first test of a muzzle brake I cant say that Im the expert. But can you explain me why so many of the shooters in competitions are using muzzle brakes and not "just" moderators? Even shooters in the pro-class who belongs to the best shooters of airguns in the world.
