- It's time to curate our thoughts on Integrity Toys' 2023 "Curated" event! This was IT's first in-person "convention-style" event since 2019's Live From Fashion Week, and (at least one of us) was able to attend in Washington DC. We share ALL our thoughts on the experience, including lots of vlog footage from inside, and of course an in-depth discussion of all 5 event-exclusive dolls. We share what we loved, what we didn't, what we hope for from future events, thoughts on IT's updated packaging, and so much more. Were you able to attend Curated? I heard from many friends that this event was just about waiting in line in the heat. I’m glad I didn’t go. Luckily I was able to get all the dolls I wanted a little above retail.
You both made me enjoy the conventions just like if I was there, It was really exciting to see both reactions, since that day I were so busy, I really forgot to check social media or the forums until later, when everything was out (yes, I missed the suspense and the anxious waiting for the first online news to pop off). I think the dolls were gorgeous, Isha was the highlight for the event, What a gorgeous doll creation. Bina is exquisite also, but there were some things in the construction of the garment that didn't quite convince me enough, but the shoes and accessories are really awesome. Now about the boxes.I do think they get away the luxury feel of buying an expensive doll. And the new material is on the flimsy side, so It do not offer the same protection.
Awww poor Sang ! Still at least one of you got a ticket, I'm about to buy my very first Integrity Doll currently just deciding as not too many in the UK 😊

I was also in group 1 and I will say my claustrophobia and nervousness of Covid saved me from the long wait it line. I viewed the dolls quickly and had to get out of the crowded gallery space. Once I got to the second location, I was 5th in line to purchase and waited only about 15-20 min. I was witness to what the line became shortly afterwards and I felt for those who stood for so long. I will say ITs initial decision to not take gift certificates was the correct one as I’m fairly certain that process greatly hindered the selling process. Those of us who paid with cash/ credit card were out very quickly. The GC people took forever as each code had to be input manually. I’m sure they will take what they learned here and build a smoother experience next time.
Overall, I had a great experience but I know many did not. There should have been better organization in moving people around/ along to make smaller groups. I think they thought we would separate ourselves naturally but didn’t and that started a huge clog at the second location as well as the complex payment issues. Btw, I was the insane person who brought cash 😄
Three members of my doll club went to this event. They were in the first group. Waiting on the stairs was very uncomfortable! Waiting to get in the first location in the DC heat was not fun and the line obstructed the entrance to the coffee shop next door. At the second location, the buffet was available only to the first group; the restaurant had agreed to provide it only for a limited time. By the time the second group appeared, there were no refreshments for them.
Basically, this was a glorified sales room that IT provided. It should all have been at one large venue.

My husband and I have been trying to get convention tickets since 2017 when we first discovered IT and neither of us have been able to. So I almost prefer the online convention opposed to in person
It's just standing around spending money on dolls. I can literally do that, sitting down, at home. I shouldn't have to travel to the other side of the country to purchase fashion dolls.
I generally like all the dolls, and that hasn't been the case with other conventions. I am relieved for IT that they are more on track with collector tastes than the last convention, especially since there are only 5 dolls. Also, as someone who won't be getting these dolls, they don't seem that much better than the regular offerings, so I don't feel that I am totally missing out.
I agree. Jessy is great in developing face screenings. I really want to see his take on Iselin. I hope he will revive that character same with Karoline
My thoughts: Thiago is my favorite of the collection.(reminds me of Jesse Ayala); Favorite outfit is the beautiful Zuri. I enjoyed meeting max at the 1st event, I think i saw Sang as I was leaving 2nd event. ❤ This video is spot on. I enjoyed the event and meeting the other collectors. Yes the pay system was having problems so some ppl paid cash.😮 there were collectors who flew in from other countries and they were awesome to chat with. Overall i really enjoyed the event.I hope they have more in person events that can accommodate more attendees.

I was underwhelmed from collection. But maybe because it was convention and used to seeing more dolls. I did like Thiago but not the hair so much. Outfit was cute. We need more FR and Nuface dolls. Poppy was very disappointing. So happy you went and are enjoying the dolls.
It was definitely a condensed event in all aspects - hopefully we’ll get full proper cons & collections of dolls in the future, so more people can be satisfied! Thanks for watching! -Max

Thank you so much for this great detailed review of your experience. Too bad you were not both able to attend. The fashions on these dollars are just AMAZING!! Wow!! I wish our “ club dolls” were this quality and not just “ reimagined” moments. 😏 And I’m with you, it was nice to see that this year the way it was presented you could actually see a running theme!! Some years it’s really a stretch. Lol! I like the creativity with some of the new packaging, but don’t love the “ card stock” type material it’s made from. Although I don’t love Integrity’s shipping charges, I’ve always liked the “ luxe” type boxes their dolls have always come in. With the growth of The W Club and Integrity’s fan base. They have GOT to have additional people to work and ring sales at these crowded events!! You are 💯% correct that for some attendees a one to two HOUR wait is just crazy!! Also they need a couple people working the events to explain things and answer questions. And NO ONE is going to carry enough cash to pay for these costly convention dolls!! Yikes! $$$ Most people will probably be charging them just to help to counterbalance the cost of the convention, travel, hotels ect… Thank for all the beautiful video footage for those of us who were not able to attend, and for taking the time to constructively and HONESTLY share your experience. Very much appreciated and congratulations on purchasing these STUNNING dolls!! #Jealous!! 💗

The line sounds like a nightmare, but you got some great dolls. I don't like this Thiago as much as the first, but still a nice doll. Something about Poppy's outfit makes me think of Tate Tanaka, the one in black and white. Maybe I'll try to get her outfit separately, dress a black haired Poppy in it, and pair them up.

I love IT for mixing up "races" by skin tone and eye color...maybe even the fashion. So a poppy Parker could be asian if she has a medium to light brown skin tone with brown eyes-ish. So when a pale doll has blue eyes, as far as i'm concerned that is a white doll lol. I am also happy they gave this Binna brown eyes. Hahaha the comment on the weather, I agree, no one has time for dolls in the heat!
Do you think integrity toys might pick up ever after high dolls since it's unlikely Mattel is ever going to bring them back because of the disney princess licenses
A surprize it is to see just one Nuface doll. And not a girl!.. many speculated that "Primary Subject" giselle was supposed to be part of this convention because of her storyline.
Thiagos pants is inspired by balenciaga and just like the real thing they're not separate pieces Max.
These dolls are so pretty but expensive. If i was rich, these would be the only new dolls i would buy. I also like JHD dolls as well even though they are very similar.
Sadly, I probably will never be able to go.... too far and too expensive. Doesnt sound like the best experience. I liked the online conventions. But your dolls are splendid. Oh as for the cost of shipping lower due to the new box is nil....shipping seems to be same cost

Shame about the packaging. It’s an in-person event… I don’t see the point of making the packages “lighter” since they won’t exactly be shipped. 🤔
I love Poppy’s booties so much, too! Will be impossible to get just that though. 🤣
I like Zuri’s gap. The best Zuri to me is the first one because she has neutral makeup. ♥️ I think Zuri’s “thermos” is supposed to be a spray paint bag. 😝
I love the doll series, but to rich for my budget.
La calidad de las nuevas cajas es horrorosa , para los coleccionistas que vivimos afuera de USA es un peligro para nuestras muñecas . Y no hablamos de status, me refiero a seguridad para que lleguen en buen estado a nuestros países . La diferencia a pagar por las cajas duras es mínimo ! Son entre 5 y 10 dólares en total .
I LOVE Integrity Toys dolls but being an Integrity Toys doll collector is NOT fun.
💯%!! I’ve collected with Integrity for YEARS, but every year it becomes more expensive and more and more stressful and disappointing. Beautiful dolls but harder and harder to acquire the dolls you want. I end up spending ridiculous prices on eBay sometimes to get the dolls I want as you can’t even get them from Integrity dealers most times. Very frustrating!! Takes the fun out of collecting.
