    Found it funny how Max couldn't stop giving the shade look throughout the whole StyleLab Collection review. But I can't blame him, I felt the exact same way when I saw this collection unveiled for the first time.

    c'mon 'no views' crew!!
    Style Lab:
    * I think you did a good job of explaining the old vs. new doll screenings and personal preferences
    * Vero I've seen more mixed screenings on and while I won't chase her she's pretty
    * Adele is someone I've discussed a lot with Max so I adore her and will always defend this particular one LOL
    * Kyori disappoints me in that I wish her hair was a white blonde instead of this more yellow blonde. The fashion also feels too youthful for the grown adult ladies of FR but I like it quite a bit.
    * Anja I feel whelmed by but she's well done.
    * Isha is PERFECT and I will hear no different on that! LOL. As someone who's wanted this darker Isha for ages I do wish I had a shot at her but hopefully we get another dark Isha in the future
    * Madam Jolie is Elyse's mom and her appearance here - instead of someone like Luchia for example - is as random as that outfit.
    * Natalia 1.0 can be VERY gorgeous - I beg of you to seek out the inspired doll - Cosmetic Takeover - and see what the sculpt can give. I like her fashion the most out of all the outfits.
    * Korinne is another doll that whelms me and pales in comparison to her Siren doll.
    * Vanessa is beautiful and if she was a style lab doll vs. the build a doll I would chase but who can afford that! lol
    Centerpieces wise of the 3 Nadja is far and away my favorite while Dania is super beautiful and Poppy is fine but not for me.

      I think we would be more welcoming to the style lab if the majority of the ones we got weren't wonky. There were definitely less quality control this year due to the pandemic and I guess we should be grateful that we even got a convention this year. We have a deep appreciation to the original sculpts and what impact they had on the company's history. I think would be fun to compare all the sculpts and their various iterations to see the evolution of IT. -Sang

    I’m with you, I LOVE the Veronique 1.0 face sculpt! But it does depend on her screening. I love when the make her look kinda like she’s up to something, devious like a sexy villain. I do have to say Integrity has come a LONG way with their facial screenings. I have SEVERAL older dolls that have wonky eyes! the newer screenings with side glancing eyes are MUCH better! I didn’t like this Adele AT ALL!! SO SO BAD!! The Adele 2.0 face sculpt is SO MUCH better! Thanks for another great video!

    Just to clarify, is it the dolls in the Style Lab that had the most eye problems from last year? And this is attributed to the 1.0 sculpts being done by hand?

    • @ToyChat
      @ToyChat  Před 3 lety

      I think overall the style lab had the most issues in terms of eye wonk. I think it's mainly because quality control was lacking due to the pandemic. A lot of IT dolls had a lot of issues with eye wonk this year, not just the style lab. But these sculpts are a factor too. If you were to erase the paint, you can see the eyes aren't even on some of these sculpts. -Sang

    • @c.w.2000
      @c.w.2000 Před 3 lety

      @@ToyChat Well, that is disheartening. I hope they can get this sorted out. I get upset when a Barbie over $50 has quality control issues, but, so far, I have been able to do exchanges because I have bought online from Amazon or Walmart. Some dolls I have had to give up on altogether because they all have the same issue.
      It definitely makes me cautious about ordering an Integrity doll at this time, when I factor in the exchange and the cost of shipping to Canada (over $50 USD just for shipping on the dolls they have on their website now). I imagine my only recourse if there are issues would be to contact "patient care". Eyes are the most important thing on a doll for me. I would rather have sloppy sewing on the clothes than something wrong with the eyes.

    @Toychat I will say titian haired veronique perrin has been called "Poison Ivy" from DC comics if this was a #basics it only takes 1 fan boy buying her and making her ivy to send every fanboy over to IT to buy her. This
    Doll could see 4k doll sales. Very pretty redheads in action figure community is not normal and ivy is a grail for batman fans.

    • @ToyChat

      @@ToyChat if she pops up on basics I will. I've actually done that on a phicen by doing paper 60lb artist leaves with acrylic paint it feels and looks like glossy leaves. Phicens are a bigger body so it took 1k leaves, green bodysuit and patience. I customized a pair of Sherry fegn boots as well.
      So for doll it would be alot faster they have tiny frames

  • @phoebedemontefalcon1423

    That sparky purple backdrop is not a good choice. If you remove these dolls, specially that centerpiece poppy, youll appreciate her colors specially that baby pink gown.

  • @real_gigio
    @real_gigio Před 3 lety +3

    This style-lab was not presented very well during the convention, because the photos do not do any favors to almost none of the dolls. From photos I only liked Mademoiselle Jolie, and when the dolls came out that was one of my least favorite!!
    While I do agree that Natalia 1.0 does have a harsh features when she came out -back in the day- she was a success, because she looks nothing like the “perfect” Barbie’esque girl, but more like a "regular woman", and her background being a latina, was kinda “in sync” with that (yes, she had some questionable taste and story).. Then she got a plastic surgery and the 2.0 was made, and we all now the rest. To me it was a pleasant surprise when she came back, but when I see the promo photos I honestly see the wonky eyes, so I decided not to get her. NOW watching your video, i can see that she is stunning!!!.. And probably have to get her now. BTW have to say I love Veronique’s hair, I didn't see that on the promos!!! We only saw that kind of hair (like separated curls) looong time ago with Vanessa Runway Right Away and Isha Riveting Premier, and I do guess Vanessa 2.0 (or may I say Violaine) Current Pursuits has the same defined curled hair..
    About the Centerpieces.. they were spectacular, but I only liked Nadja and Dania and have to make that thing with a coin into the air (face or seal) because I had to pick one (for budget reasons) and ended up with Dania.. who I LOVE. Her screening is everything!! I do agree that Nadja screening looks a lot like "Like No Other" but as a whole set she is very unique and iconic.
    Thanks for your review.. It was really awesome watching your takes on the convention. As a suggestions: I know that we all collectors knew which fashion pack (from the style-lab) has the Vanessa head.. But I do guess that “opening” the dolls and the fashions from the Style-Lab while explaining the concept of a "Build-a-Doll", and presenting which part of the doll and fashion came into what, and at the end build up the doll - will be l be an awesome video for newbies.. Because I do see in the social media, that there are a LOT of new collectors asking a lot of questions on Integrity dolls.. So a video on Build a doll concept, the lotteries, how much time you spend waiting for a "made to order doll", or even talking about the WClub registration dolls (I know you have one video unboxing from the registration dolls, but I mean, it could be something like a comparative dolls offering across the time.. and /or which lines were added to them), could be interesting..

      Thank you for watching as always and thank you for your wealthy of Integrity Toys knowledge and history. It's always nice to hear from collectors who has been collecting for longer than we have and hearing their stories.
      We have a 2021 w club video in mind, with registration around the corner, hopefully be helpful to new collectors. We made one a few years ago but I think we should update it now that we have more experience. -Sang
