@@SandraNelson063 yeah, its funny to see the people in the audience haha. It really splits them up. Some LOVE it, some just stare and are like wtf is this. But luckily we had a few rock/metal participants over the years. Ukraine not to long ago had a somewhat metalish/rock song if I can remember correctly. So did Slovakia in 2012, Max Jason Mai or something was his name. And of course Hard Rock Hallelujah! Which even won haha but yeah that was more pop. AWS was something else. The guys were amazing and still are. Unfortunately, we can no longer hear them playing music together, as on February 6. 2021. Örs Siklósi died of an illness at the age of only 29 (the singer). (not covid) Our little Hungary suffered a very big loss! We lost a wonderful young, lively talented singer, lyricist, husband over the weekend. It feels very good to see that they were not only loved in our country. A country mourns and sympathizes with family, friends, the band. For me, this is quite difficult to process and accept as he was exactly the person who was close to a country known and loved, and to lead someone who played an important role in your life in vain you didn’t know ... a big challenge to process. This tragic message will obviously not reach everyone, but at least some people will know. He wrote the song "Viszát Nyár" in 2018 to his father, who was lost in 2016, as a dialogue between his father and son (also released in English). They entered the song selection A DAL with the idea that they wouldn't get into the competition anyway, but they got in and then they said they wouldn't get any further ... but still! - and that’s how it went for 7 weeks until the final which they also won! Everyone is happy, Örs stops frozen on stage. He couldn't believe that a pop metal band was really going to get to Portugal. The boys were also a great success there! They ended up in 21st place, which is not bad! I saw this video come out 6 months ago. The guys had so many plans for half a year, a new record for AWS, and Örs was also working on a solo album that would have been released this semester under the title ERSCH SOLO. complete and present. I thought so much to share on the subject. Rest in peace Örs we love! Burn the candle flame for you now.😔🕯🕯🕯🖤

His father died a year before, and missed his wedding which was a really big promise for them. So the song is a farewell ( sad & angry ) to his father. When he sings in slow those are his father words to say it was his time and he has to leave him behind. When he sings with power those are his own words saying how his father lied that he will be there for him. Its a complex song of complex emotions. Thats why when he was on stage he had so much passion and power in his voice. Later in an interview he said he almost cried during the song so he screamed the parts harder to keep himself in check. :'( The feels man.
Edit: You can hear his voice broken with emotion : 5:43 . Singing the father's part: " Take a piece from me and if you won't sell it, the mark on your heart will lift you up to the sky ( probably meaning to him in heaven ) "

Since I was a child I always liked the heavier stuff and received weird looks for it so I kept it a secret for a couple of years. But I‘ve always been a weirdo so eventually I didn’t care anymore. Those who say this kind of music is just noise and screaming have absolutely no clue what they’re talking about. Hatari - hatrid mun sigra, is not metal (they play EBM, agrotech, industrial style) but is amazing, their performance on eurovision is the best of that year.

Yeap I absolutely loved that one. I think those who just dismissed it bevause of its shocking theatricks are usually prudes or bigots and they definetely miss on life.

Question: Guitarists have pedalboards, but what do vocalists have? You never see a bunch of effects pedals around the base of the mic stand, so do they depend on someone off-stage?
