they performed Oboro this EU tour and it was absolutely mindblowing and soul-shaking to experience it live, it made my dream come true to witness it and trust me when I say that the 4 shows I attended this tour were not nearly enough, each is different even if the concept was the same.

this song is just only one of her genre , only shows her high notes on this , crime and punishment if like similar to unravel , godish if yo want her switching voice the entire song , fleeting lullaby if yo want her to hear rapping , love ka had interesting vocal (idk what kind it is) , backlight if yo want to hear a punk rock , man she just got too many on her arsenal , i even hear her made a whistle voice on one of her live concerts , the best artist of this era i suppose

I just saw Electric Callboy live for the first time with a bunch of friends a few weeks ago. Incredible atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Alicia White-Gluz was the founding singer. Then she joined Arch Enemy to replace Angela Gossow who is maybe the first female to growl. Then Vicky Psaraskis came in who is great. Unfortunately the band broke up about a year ago. Now as you have been told Vicky formed the band Sicksense. They're a more modern band and Vicky is great. But you know all this already so check them out aleeady.

Their version of John Lennon's 'Imagine' is very moving. Also, check out Avi (the bass) singing with the group Home Free on 'Ring of Fire'.

Not enough love for the lighting and pyro "guys". They are top tier and they do a fantastic job. Never seem to miss and it lends so much to a Nightwish performance.

Tbf Miku was trying to hold back the tears the whole show. Her "baby" had grown up. In the end they were all in tears. Miku was having to abbreviate her BVs. You could see her lips trembling.

You need to listen to their version of Daft Punk medley. Then, be aware this isn’t studio effects you are hearing, because they perform the same in their live concerts.

Someone already mentioned Vicky's new band, Sicksense. I'd also recommend checking out some of Vicky's one-take performances of songs from either The Agonist or Sicksense. She also does a fantastic cover of "Hello" by Evanescence.

Chase, your comments about how the activities of individuals informs how their body produces sound 'resonates' with me. Before my six years of classical voice training, I had 12 years of ballet, 4 of swimming. I recall that one night at master class, the voice teacher announced that a new student would be singing, She was a transfer from the flute major program. I looked around for an unfamiliar face, but then heard the door open and in waked a 5 foot nine woman, and I knew I was in for a treat. One summer, I was sitting at the pool in our complex and this guy appeared on his mountain bike, muddy and dusty. He walked over to the watering hose, cleaned off his bike, then removed his footwear and shirt and held the watering hose over his head and showered himself. When he walked into the pool, he dove in and crossed the pool back and forth four times before coming up for air. It was small pool, obviously, but just the same, I sat there, watching him and thinking "Please sit near me when you get out of the water, cause I want to hear you breathe!" 😉 He did not. But a couple of weeks later, he reappeared and he did sit close enough for me to hear him breathe. Then it occurred to me that I could not wait to hear him speak. But, he had a book, looked like he just wanted to be left alone, so I settled for the joy of listening to him breathe. Another week went by, and as I approached the pool, I could hear someone speaking with lifeguard and I knew it was the cyclist-reader. All he was doing was speaking, yet it sounded like a Stradivarius to me. Then, I thought, "I wonder if he sings." Eventually, he struck up a conversation with me, about the books we each were reading. Out of the blue, I just asked him if he sang. No. Well, in the car. With the radio. A month later, he overheard me telling the lifeguard I was driving to the big city two hours away. The cyclist asked if he could get a ride with me. He'd pay for gas, he said. "Only if you sing to the radio," I answered. He chuckled and said "What?!" That's when I broke down and told him how I'd been 'stalking' his lungs for two months. He shook his head in disbelief. He could tell I was observing him, but not in a "checking him out" way. Then he started to laugh. I'd never heard him laugh. The former director of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Kent Nagano, says the most amazing sound, for him, is that of a baby making its little sounds before it learns to speak. I agree, But that cyclist was a very close second. Cheers.

As others have said I think you need to check out her version of Crime and Punishment. But then I would suggest USSEEWA Piano Ver. for the angriest piano on Earth, and, as a wildcard, her song レディメイド (Readymade) just because I enjoy the jazzed out drums on it. Cheers! =)

Learn japanese to talk about japanese artists? That's the most ignorant thing I've heard. Music is made to cross boundaries and language barriers, specially Ado's music. You can feel and understand the rage on this song without needing to understand a word. Keep it up Chase!!

AAL is the band that puts everyone on notice. Ever since CAFO, they had a few lesser years but Parrhesia is a masterpiece of an album. Beautifully dark & mature. When metal kids grow up and become men you get Parrhesia.

The album this was on was my personal pick for the best metal album of that year - it's CRAZY good. Sadly, as someone else said, The Agonist decided to split up last year (after one more EP). It was a real shame, as they'd put out some really good albums, first with Alyssa White-Gluz and later with Vicky Psarakis (featured here). But I guess they were burnt out, and they all had other things going on, so such is life. I've given Vicky's new band Sicksense a listen, but it's just not for me unfortunately.

I love Vicky! And this is a great song. The Agonist sadly did call it quits last year I believe. But Vicky has a band called Sickscene that I think you’d have fun listening to. Anyway, great video! HADGD!
