The Argel Tal model is also completely different from the book description, even the paintjob is nothing like he's described. I honestly don’t think the designers ever read a book featuring him.

how's he described? I've not got to first heretic yet.

@@benhramiak8781 When in daemonic form (as the model depicts) his helmet face mask morphs into a silver wolf's head.
In the books he is not depicted as having massive taloned arms the size of powerfists, though his hands are definitely mutated when in the daemon form. He also fights with a custodian's guardian spear and sword for pretty much his entire involvement in the Heresy. The model is painted up with him holding an Ultramarine, and there is only a small part of one battle in which he could've been fighting Ultramarines and not using his signature weapons.
Whilst the unarmed weapon loadout that the model depicts is technically plausible, it feels a bit like making a Horus model without his mace or talon. They're so iconic for the character, that it's just a bit disappointing not to see them.
The model itself, much like Zephon is fantastic, it's just... not Argel Tal for me.
Hope you like First Heretic when you get to it. It and Betrayer definitely made me look at Word Bearers a bit differently as more than the "evil for the sake of evil" bad guys and gave them some nuance that I felt was missing from some of the books where they are the antagonists.

And then they didn't give him EITHER one xD
Technically his model could be canon to a very specific moment in betrayer (SPOILERS AHEAD FOR BETRAYER) Where in like the last hour of his life both his weapons break and he has to fight with his claws but thats about it xD
