Love my PX4! Added the stealth decocker levers, beretta competition trigger group, LTT 11# hammer spring, but the best upgrade, in my opinion, it the LTT trigger bar. Significantly reduces the reset length. Almost perfect. Sending it to LTT for the optic cut.
The gun has a hard chromed inside of the barell. It's the best protection there is, and it's an expensive process. The barell inside cannot corrode. What you commented as corrosion is the remains of copper, because the barell was not cleaned after shooting. The Beretta Px4 storm is a pistol that the Beretta company should be proud of. The barrel locking is the result of their engineers, and is not taken from another manufacturer like the Model 92 locking is taken from the Walther P38.
I've had my PX4 for about 5 years now. It is an excellent pistol. I think yours was originally a decocker/safety model that someone modified to be decocker only. The G model decocker uses very flush fitting decocker levers. The protruding wing levers like on yours are from a decocker/safety model. Excellent video. You covered all the important aspects of the PX4 Storm.
Not all Type G have stealth levers. The Compact Carry model has them as as well as the low profile slide release as standard features. The other day I was as Sportsmans Warehouse looking at pistols and checked out a full size Type G that had standard size "wings" rather than the stealth levers. I have a Type F and had considered swapping to the low profile levers, which are decocker only, but if I ever have to use it in self defense, I'd rather not give a prosecutor any ammo (they will find any way they can to use firearm modifications to attack a defendant). If only I could get the Compact Carry model in CA...
The allen wrench is used to take the picatinny rail off. It looks as though that was added not sure if it is a laser or light. I keep mine stock. I see no need to change anything I like it the way it is. Oh for those who don't know this is Jill Valentine's special weapon in re5 although in 9mm
Rotating barrel design does not lend itself to suppression or muzzle devices. The locking block design of the 92 is probably the most suppressor friendly of any pistol design.
I've had my Beretta PX4 Storm for well over a decade now, probably close to 15 years It's by far my favorite hand gun ,I own several it's by far my favorite,my second favorite would be my go to 1911 in 45 cal. that I usually only carry as a back up for when I go hog hunting, the Storm just find my hand perfect like my 1911, to me they have a similar grip.
I have a full size PX4 Inox like yours, and a PX4 Compact. I've also done the trigger spring and mag release upgrades on both, and in addition I needed to convert mine to decock only since they both came with safeties. My full size was from New York, so it also came with 10 round mags which I replaced with 20 round mags. The Full Size has a light for home defense, while the Compact is a truck gun. Also like you, I EDC an APX-A1 Carry. I bought the Compact for carry, but as you said, it's chunky.
A great gun! I have a full size in 9 mm. Accurate and durable. Rotating barrel helps in dissipating recoil. Good safety features too. I’d highly recommend it for target shooting and home protection.
I just shot my new PX4 full size and I was pleasantly surprised by the less recoil compared to the glock 19 my friend has and even compared to my semicompact XD9. It shoots well and very accurate out of the box. My only complaint is I've hurt my hand twice while racking it especially because I did not really clean it out of the box and just wiped it. It was still a little slick from the factory oil. Those decockers were sharp and pointy.
A couple of people have mentioned that me. There most certainly are threaded barrel variations from the factory. They call it the SD model. It would be a shame if a silencer wouldn't stay on.
Good video. I bought the PX4 Compact Carry new, for $649 from PSA, in February. It has upgraded Ameriglo sights, Beretta's competition trigger group that reduces and smooths the pull, stealth de-cocking and slide levers, and came with Talon grips, 3 different backstops and 3 different mag releases, plus 3 magazines. Don't know why the low price for awhile, as they have jumped back up now. My hands are on the smaller side, so I can get a full grip. Yes, it's a chunky IWB carry gun but also a very safe one with the DA/SA. Often times I will carry a 365XL or a 365, but this is nice to have in the mix. I think it's ugly as sin, but it's a great gun.
Nice review on this amazing pistol. The inox looks amazing. It actually holds up well to the elements. The PX4 storm was my first DA/SA pistol. I was so impressed with it when I got because I shot it so well. When learning the DA trigger heavy is actually good especially if its smooth. Even this full size is about the size of a Glock 19 so it makes a great choice for EDC. I eventually upgraded mine with amerglo spartan sights, competition trigger group with and 11 lb hammer spring. It became my EDC in a vedder lighttuck holster. Honestly with a D spring upgrade alone its a huge upgrade. Stock sights were actually decent very visible. A lot better than the crap sights from a certain striker brand.
I've had the PX4 Storm in 40S&W for about 6-7 years. I've modified it pretty extensively. I installed the LTT #12 lb silicone hammer spring ( the best mod for the money ), the low profile Decock levers and converted it to decock only and the extended mag release. The only mod I regret is the LTT Competition Trigger Group. It's an easy drop in, but it didn't improve my trigger pull but only VERY slightly. It had a great trigger to start with so it wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I also wrapped it with the Talon Grips and it really stays put even with more powerful 40. I'm not interested in the new LTT Trigger Bar as I don't ride the reset. Absolutely love my PX4. It's my EDC when weather permits.
Hey, question for you - did you drop in the Beretta Competition Trigger group, or the "trigger in a bag" from LTT, which is the competition trigger group that LTT then polished and stoned?
Try the DPM triple spring guide rod, they make it for the fs and subcompact. It really takes the wrist snap out of the px4 40. It works for the 9, but the action is so light its unecessary.
I have rather small hands, and with the small backstrap it's manageable, but on the edge of comfortable. Added a Pachmayr sleeve, and much improved the grip, even though it adds a little girth. Like most guns though it's challenging in operation for lefties.
Hello to you, Great video for me, I just this week came across this firearm chambered in (40) used and in remarkable condition. Getting ready to purchase. Thanks again
PX4 is great! Very accurate and soft shooting. But due to the rotating design a can won't work properly. It'll spin off or cease to the barrel. Anyway, that's how it was explained to me, never did.actually try it. Nice review!
I have read the 45ACP can be brutal in the STORM, rotating barrel notwithstanding. I have some Full-size 45's, but haven't got around to actually firing them.
Love the look of the stainless, and should wear better than the bruniton black one. You should do a CZ P09 comparison, the CZs seem to be the most popular polymer DA/SA guns now.
I like the two-tone look, but $500 used with parts missing and 10rd mags is pretty steep. Right now, they're about $450 brand new with the Beretta $75 rebate that runs through 9/30.
I love Berettas, but I wish they'd move away from the thin torsion springs (visible here on the PX4) for their trigger returns. I had two of those break on my 92F before I finally replaced them with the coil springs put out by Wolff, which resemble the springs on the 3rd Gen Smith and Wessons. Way more durable.
Nice review. Another YT Review showed how a silencer could come loose because of the rapid back/forth rotation of the barrel. Tip: Whenever you state how something feels/fits in your hands, ALWAYS say how big your hands are (or how tall you are, etc.) as a reference. It is hard to see in the video if you have small, medium or large hands. Otherwise its like saying sports car X bucket seats fit great, without saying if you're rail skinny or refrigerator sized. Also, say in which state you are. Gun restrictions in California (my stupid state) are atrocious. Overall though, thanks for the detailed review.
Bc of a rotating barrel, a suppressor will come UNSCREWED before you finish the first magazine (L or R thread).. I know lol! The only drawback in my opinion .. I love my P X 4 Storm, 9mm! The dependability is awesome! Accuracy is too! I've been a DA/SA Hammer man for decades tho ..
to decocker only you remove the ball bearing and it's tiny spring. also the hammer has a half cock position for shorter first pull. you can limp wrist this gun will still cycle! must lube barrel grooves and the cam block and the slide rails for sure! this is a carry into battle gun.
Not saying it isn't a good gun. But I hated my Compact and Subcompact. Subcompact would seem to jam no matter what brand of 9mm I used. It was just unreliable for me
Ernest L sez an 11lb. hammer spring works best w/FEDERAL primers & not great w/NATO or foreign ammo. He likes the 13lb. spring best. MUCH lighter DA w/dependable ignition.
It can't be suppressed the barrel rotates so it will loosen the can in a few shots. Maybe if you lock tight it and tighten it down real hard. 🤔 guys over at TFB tv tried putting a can on one...
It can be. Need a suppressor with a set screw or a compression system. But they're definitely not the ideal platform for one. I have the compact and will never get rid of it. It will be handed down to one of my sons. They may have to fight for it! 😆
The Wilson combat literature probably means they swapped out the hammer springs from there, which would reflect the nice da sensation you're describing.
Didn't like the full size when I tried it out at the range. But I'm looking forward to trying the compact version because I heard it is comparable to the Glock 19..
Hello sir, your video so motivated. Sir I want to buy Beretta PX4 storm 9mm full size pistol with 5 magazines and mos. I will pay you first. Please sir Thanks 🌹❤️🌹

All PX4s are convertible to decocker. This is a feature of this model
@@aperson4057 Agreed considering I converted mine to decocker only.
It's becoming my go-to gun. Call me weird, but I love the double action out of the holster along with my Sig P250.
I got mine in 2011, I’ve put over 2,000 rounds though if and and just two malfunctioning rounds with reloads, it’s a keeper for sure.
The IT17 on the rear of the slide means it was made in Italy in 2017. The PX4 is one of the top pistol platforms out there.
That's very interesting because I always thought it was a much older example because of the discoloration on some of the parts.
The allen wrench is used to take the picatinny rail off. It looks as though that was added not sure if it is a laser or light. I keep mine stock. I see no need to change anything I like it the way it is.

Just picked up a used 45 storm
A great gun! I have a full size in 9 mm. Accurate and durable. Rotating barrel helps in dissipating recoil. Good safety features too. I’d highly recommend it for target shooting and home protection.
Bought mine in 2007. Still my favorite gun!
My PX4 came in a box just like that.
I just shot my new PX4 full size and I was pleasantly surprised by the less recoil compared to the glock 19 my friend has and even compared to my semicompact XD9. It's been shown that the rotating barrel in this gun causes suppressors to unscrew as they are being used.
A couple of people have mentioned that me. There most certainly are threaded barrel variations from the factory. They call it the SD model. It would be a shame if a silencer wouldn't stay on.

Ugly as sin. 🤣🤣🤣
Love my PX4

I own one in .9mm .40 and .45 full size, a Compact in 9mm, and a sub Compact in 9mm.... I love them all, but the Compact 9mm is just right
45 is the best round for the storm
I have read the 45ACP can be brutal in the STORM, rotating barrel notwithstanding.

They are extended
My every day carry . px4 storm full size in 40 . I bought it on sale new for $250 .
i practice 20 to 100 yards
I love Berettas, but I wish they'd move away from the thin torsion springs (visible here on the PX4) for their trigger returns. i think the storm is a sexy gun expecially if it was all metal. Id buy one then.

That's interesting and I hadn't thought abou that. Do you remember whose video that was?
Also, I have large sized hands.
Now that is a beauty
It looks like the correct case. I still have the box and case that I got with the gun.
It is missing a few things but nothing important.

I bought a px4 new, that is in fact the original box
the inox is so nice. Really hard to find so you're lucky
Not saying it isn't a good gun. But I hated my Compact and Subcompact. Subcompact would seem to jam no matter what brand of 9mm I used. It was just unreliable for me

Own the sc version in fde. Great firearm.

@Proverbial Mind_Spread I made the mistake of getting a frame thinking, "oh ill just pick up an upper on the cheap and save some money"
I would want the F type. Decocker, Safety model.
The Wilson combat literature probably means they swapped out the hammer springs from there, which would reflect the nice da sensation you're describing.
Is that a laser on the rail?
That's a rail attachment for a Blackhwk Omnivore holster. I put them on all my guns and sometimes forget to mention it.
Didn't like the full size when I tried it out at the range. But I'm looking forward to trying the compact version because I heard it is comparable to the Glock 19..
Lousy box, great gun
Hello sir, your video so motivated. Sir I want to buy Beretta PX4 storm 9mm full size pistol with 5 magazines and mos. I will pay you first. Please sir
Thanks 🌹❤️🌹
To nie orginalna px4
Size weight cannot beat a Glock - Glock 43x with shield arms and an rmr (I’ve had mine for 4 years and want to swap for carry)
Very underhated pistol.
